Enjoy my full length interview with da man himself by clicking on this link:

Spring is in the air and who better to ring it in than Harry Wayne "KC" Casey and the sunshiny 'Miami sound' of his Sunshine Band. Celebrating the release of their brand-new album, Feeling You! The 60s, which is available oniTunes, Amazon and stores nationwide, KC of KC and The Sunshine Band stopped by SiriusXM to share the new music and talk about classic hits like "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty," "That's The Way I Like It," "Get Down Tonight" and more. Soak up the musical rays and tune in to SiriusXM's '70s on 7on the first day of spring, this Friday, March 20 at Noon ET/PT, for the one-hour special Feeling Spring! Celebrating over forty years since their biggest hits dominated the mainstream pop charts, KC and The Sunshine Band is back, performing over 100 dates per year and recently appearing on national television shows including OWN's Where Are They Now, Bloomberg TV's Taking Stock with Pimm Fox, The Weather Channel's Wake Up With AlThe Better Show, OK! TV, TV One'sUnsung, CNN's The Seventies and more.

"I feel like I'm 24," KC told The Miami Herald in advance to his hometown show March 20 at the Hard Rock in Hollywood, FL. "Forty years later I feel like I'm back in 1975. Coming to 2015, and the 40th anniversary of 'Get Down Tonight' going to No. 1, has been an interesting process. That creative flow we got going in '73, '74, that's what I'm feeling now. I know that in 1984 we wanted to get away from it all, we were tired of it all, but this [new music] has reinvigorated me, and I think I'm writing better than I did back then. Lyrically, I think it's better, [and] it's much more mature. I don't know how to explain it, but it feels good."

Featuring covers of songs by sixties legends like Ben E. King, The Righteous Brothers, Jackie DeShannon, Aaron Neville and others, KC says this new album Feeling You! The 60s stems from an inspiration to pay tribute to those songs who helped shape him into the revolutionary artist he is today.

With sales of over 100 million records, nine Grammy nominations, three Grammy Awards and an American Music Award, KC and The Sunshine Band are still known today as one of the most progressive bands of the 70s, as their music is still discovered daily by millions around the world through its continual placement in top box office movies, TV commercials, TV shows and video games, including KINGSMAN: The Secret Service. The film, The Record Man, documenting the life of Henry Stone, features KC and The Sunshine Band in the early days and is currently playing at various film festivals across the country.
