Just Because...You're Horny, Or Not

Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
Zac Efron
Just Because he has blonde hair, Just Because he's wearing a blue suit & Just Because he has some hot scruff - Gentlemen, Ladies...I present to you Zac Efron @ The Beach Bum premiere in Hollywood!

Seldom does my mind wander to the younger set, I tend to like dudes my own advanced age. Yet something tells me Zac is where it's at. I mean, he like totally has a musical background and such, thus I am willing to bet he has a vast knowledge of things of yore and we could communicate for hours, while he was picking things up off the floor.

Here is a breakdown of the film:

"A rebellious stoner named Moondog lives life by his own rules."

A) Aren't all movie stoners name Monndog???

B) This is written and directed by Harmony Korine

C) If you are asking who Harmony is then F#ck off

Yeah, this pic not only draws my attention because my Boy Toy fixation is in it. It is from auteur Harmony Korine, who wrote and  an explosive (at the time) film called Kids in 1995.

He has kept on keeping with his most recent effort behind the camera as a writer and director being Spring Breakers with an extremely high profile young female cast - Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens & Ashley Benson anyone? Anyone???

Thus I am intrigued....

Saturday Sounds: Prom Night

Be Afraid, Or Not...
Prom Night: Original 1980 Motion Picture Soundtrack
by Paul Zaza & Carl Zittrer

World premiere of the original score and disco songs from the
1980 cult slasher film, featuring unreleased music

To be released on May 10th

Want to hear something really scary?
Perseverance Records presents the long awaited official release of the 1980 cult classic Prom Night Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Perseverance worked closely with Carl Zittrer and Paul Zaza to locate and unearth the original masters and all music recorded for the film including unreleased disco songs and score not used in the final production, never heard before anywhere.
This marks the first official and complete CD release of the Prom Night soundtrack. While the songs themselves have made appearances on a notorious Japanese LP and eventual bootleg recordings sourced from it, there was no official release of the songs - partially because the movie was made in the waning days of the disco fever.

This soundtrack features four different aspects of the music. First it opens with a re-creation of the score as it appears in the film - or as close to it as it could be assembled from the separate elements. Next is the score that wasn't used in the picture. Then come the disco songs in approximate order - but omitting the Blue Bazaar songs that were not featured in the movie and were used only as filler for the bootleg Japanese LP. The last portion of the album is dedicated to the songs that don't appear in the picture yet are as intrinsic to the sound of Prom Night as the songs that made it.

"I remember seeing Prom Night during its release in 1980, when disco was still the craze. I was determined to obtain a copy of the soundtrack and to play the theme song at my senior prom only to find that it was never released. I spent years looking at the audiophile catalog at Tower Records hoping to find a release date but no luck. Now, after almost 40 years, my dream has now become a reality! Fans alike are now able to enjoy the soundtrack!" - Silvio Barretta, Producer

Prom Night is a 1980 cult classic horror thriller directed by Paul Lynch (RoboCop, Xena: Warrior Princess, Poltergeist: The Legacy, Star Trek: The Next Generation) and stars Jamie Lee Curtis as Kim Hammond and Leslie Nielsen as Mr. Hammond. The movie focuses on four middle school children, Kelly Lynch, Jude Cunningham, Wendy Richards, and Nick McBride who hide the truth of what happened six years ago to ten-year-old Robin Hammond the day her body was found near and abandoned convent. They swore never to tell anyone of how they taunted Robin, backing her into a corner, frightened, when falling to her death while standing on a window ledge. But on that day, six years ago, someone else was there, watching, and now seeks revenge on prom night!

Michael's Musings

Look Closer
Michael Shinafelt
Many of my friends who are fans of the show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have posed this question to me since episode one: "Why is Denise Richards on the show?"

Then a along came Penis-gate, and her giving zero F#cks attitude about her wedding to Aaron Phypers. That's correct minions Denise is on the show to make the rest of the women look trivial and annoying IMHO. Denise is there to teach them, not to mention the rest of us, life is too short to accentuate the negative have fun and let the good times roll! So, what are we waiting for, time to roll and rock...!!!

Life is a parade of absurdities and pain, and then we die, alone, in filth. So, yes, little girl I shall buy a box of Thin Mints.

Hump Day & Chill

Let's Get Chromatic
Peter Chromatic
Let's get freely inspired on this Hump Day & Chill - with nude selfie taker and model Peter Chromatic.

Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater, he does not have a wife and he probably doesn't want one, or keep her. But Peter does like to take it all off for the camera. Aren't you happy?!

Bear witness to this quote from the defrocked man himself: 'The fact that it was a sunny day while I was on vacation was all the inspiration I needed to get naked and take these self shots.'

How's that for motivation, I ask you? "Yes" that's a dead on a question, are you gonna answer moi?  Most likely not, moving on...

What's that you say? You want to know what the photos look like? Well now all you have to do is click on the link below to Tye Briggs Favorite Hunks & Other Things to find out.

"Postcards In The Sky"

David Archuleta

David Archuleta has debuted his brand new video “Postcards In the Sky,” the title track to his most recent album release.
“I wanted to show different scenarios of people going through hard things. “Postcards in the Sky” was inspired by a story of a girl who lost her mom and little brother in a car accident. (Relatives of co-writer of the song actually).  In the funeral they released balloons with messages/memories on them, symbolizing that it’d reach wherever they may be now that they’re gone. I felt like we need to do that more often. Let out our “postcards” into the world. Our voices, our words can make a difference. We don’t know whose life it will change, but most likely it’s our own life that’s changed by it. That’s how it’s been for me.” Says David

Additionally, David is currently on his North American tour in support of the Postcards In The Sky album release.  Initial dates were revealed earlier this year with numerous cities just added to the trek.  The tour will weave through such cities as New York, Boston & Chicago before hitting Las Vegas, NV & Santa Barbara, CA in mid-April.  Tickets available here:

Remember Your Daisy Duke's???

Front Row & Center
Catherine Bach

Get Your Daisy Duke's On!!!

In advance of The Good Ol’ Boys Tour kick-off in Bakersfield, California, on April 13, Catherine Bach is making a pit stop at Hallmark’s national morning show Home & Family Monday, March 25 at 10am/9c. Bach, known for serving up food and drinks in Boss Hogg’s Boar’s Nest, will be serving up some delicious nachos and banana ice cream sandwiches in the Home & Family kitchen.

The Good Ol’ Boys Tour stop at the MuscleKingz Car Show & Concert in Bakersfield, which will feature appearances by Tom WopatCatherine BachBen JonesRick HurstSonny SchroyerByron Cherry, and Chris Hensel, will give fans the opportunity to catch a glimpse of their favorite Dukes of Hazzard character, with live music from Kip MooreBobby Bones and the Raging IdiotsParmalee,Tom WopatWhey JenningsCooter’s Garage Band and more. The schedule for the cast appearances will be released soon and get tickets at

About Catherine Bach/Daisy Duke:
Catherine Bach heard about the audition for The Dukes of Hazzard through her husband. When she arrived there, she found the producers were looking for a Dolly Parton-lookalike; despite not looking like what they were searching for, she was hired on the spot. One of the earliest costume ideas from the producers was that she wear a tight white turtleneck, go-go boots and a poodle skirt, but Bach asked if she could bring her own outfit, which was a homemade T-shirt, a pair of cut-off denim shorts and high heels. Bach had concerns about the appropriateness of the cut-off shorts at first, saying she could not wear them in a restaurant scene. When prompted by the producers to visit a restaurant across the street, Bach found the waitresses were wearing "little mini-skirts that matched the tablecloths!".

At the suggestion of the show's producers, Bach posed as Daisy Duke for a poster, which sold 5 million copies. The poster once caused a stir when Nancy Reagan took a liking to it after Bach visited The White House with one as a gift for one of her former school teachers then working there.

While she was starring on The Dukes of Hazzard, her legs were insured for $1,000,000.

"As If"

Get A Clue
Donald Faison, Breckin Meyer, Alicia Silverstone & Paul Rudd
I have a confession to make, I'm a sucker for cast reunion photo-ops. Whether I like the project the cast has been in or not, nostalgic memories are always fond ones. Especially if I liked the project.

Well in the case of the Clueless reunion at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo between it's stars Alicia Silverstone & Paul Rudd, along with co-stars Donald Faison & Breckin Meyer - this partik one is a slam dunk for me!

Clueless was a movie I went to see reluctantly. "Yep" it was my friend's choice to see it and even though I was not interested "As If" I thought "Why Not?"

Much to my surprise it was more than simply funny and entertaining, it was also insightful and satirical..

Alicia Silverstone's Cher Horowitz became iconic and her famous quote "As If" is still tossed around to this day.

In case you are wondering this added to my weekend Good Vibes.

Crack That Whip!

Michaelle Pfeiffer
Woke-up to the Internet buzzing over Michelle Pfeiffer's latest post on Instagram a video where she coyly holds up a whip saying "look what I found, needs a little TLC" to her followers. That's correct minions it's the whip she brandished as Catwoman in Batman Returns twenty-seven years ago!!!

Although I found Tim Burton's sequel to Batman better than his original outing the movie was mainly villain centric. With Pfeiffer taking center stage with her tour de force as the feline femme fatale.
Michelle Pfeiffer
IMHO nobody has ever done it better, Catwoman that is than her. She to me is the definitive CW. Her performance skirted the edge of over the top, loony, sexy, insane and flat out outrageous while still being real and grounded. Her Catwoman was in short a one of a kind creation.

Gushing much? Why "yes" I am.

Have a bootylicious Saturday, I know I plan to. On that naughty note I leave you with these immortal words...

"I am Catwoman, hear me roar!"

Just Because....Pat The Puss

Eye Of The Tiger
Zachary Levi
Just Because he's so damned cute, Just Because he has a movie coming out based on a Saturday morning TV Show I used to watch & Just Because he gives a whole new meaning to Erika Jayne's signature move "pat the puss" - Ladies & Gentlemen I bring you Zachary Levi!

See Zachary giving his own spin on "pat the puss" at a photo call for his new movie Shazam in London."Yes" it's Mr. Levi patting a different sort of puss than Erika Jayne, a stuffed tiger to be exact.

Whilst I watched Shazam as kid, I have no desire to see the movie. Honestly it looks lame. The only way I would go see it is if Zachary were going to appear fully naked in it and pat something other than the puss. If you get my drift and I know you do...

So that's what's new today pussycat - minus the whoa oh on this Friday March 22, 2019.

Michael just sayin'.

Hump Day & Chill

Adam Sans Eve
"Men seldom make passes at girls who wear glasses" - Dorothy Parker

That may hold true, but what about Men making passes at guys who wear glasses? I know glasses on a guy can be quite swoon worthy in my book. Take this weeks object of my affection Adam.

Adam is one of the Hump Day & Chill men who do it for me. Sure he has a nice body and a nice ______ fill in the blank, I am sure you know what word belongs there. This being stated it's the glasses that really put Adam a cut above other guys for me. Especially since the sight enablers are basically all he is wearing in most of the images from his photo shoot.

What's that? Gimme, I want to see those pics you say? Chill it's Hump Day after all, of course you can see the pics by clicking on the link below and heading over to Tye Briggs Favorite Hunks & Other Things.

So, what are you waiting for? You've got some Hump Day & Chill to engage in...that's what I am going to do, right here, right now -

At The Drive-In

I remember Drive-Ins...

From sleeping in the concession stand to working entirely for free, the quirky film fanatics at the struggling Mahoning Drive-in face uncertainty when Hollywood announces it will switch to digital projection for all new movies. Unable to purchase an expensive digital projector, the Mahoning gang pin their hopes of survival on showing only vintage 35mm film prints on their original 1949 projectors. Relive their underdog story to save film, the Mahoning Drive-in, and drive-in theaters everywhere.

"Technology moves so fast today, faster than ever before. As technology distracts us from one another and segments us further into smaller audiences, it was just magical to see a bunch of people gather together in rural Pennsylvania to watch film flicker through a projector from 1948," Alexander Monelli, director. "That's ultimately what this documentary is about."

At The Drive-in won "Best Local Feature" at the 26th annual Philadelphia Film Festival. It has also screened at multiple Alamo Drafthouses and at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood as an official selection of Dances With Films.

Bonus Materials
  • Over 17 Minutes of Deleted Scenes
  • Three Separate Feature Length Commentary Tracks (two with cast and one with director)

"Bitch better have my money!, Please don't call me on my bluff" - Rihanna, Bitch Better Have My Money
Today's Monday Motivation is pure unadulterated greed. That's right minions, money, it makes the world go round and puts a smile on your face when you can spend it freely and give unto others as they maybe would to you.
So I am meditating about bringing mass quantities of it into my realm. You know master of my domain type of stuff.
Don't judge my pursuit of the material today, if you see it this way, keep it to yourself and move on. Money is my Monday Motivation jam at present. Carry on, as you were...

Immersive - Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists

Big Screen Perfection
Once upon a time in Hollywood, well OK, yesterday in Hollywood Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists Immersive Experience happened at The Hollywood Athletic Club.

Being a HUGE PLL fan you know I just had to go, and go I did! Upon entry I was surrounded with the atmosphere of the town of Beacon Heights and a big screen that eventually was cued up to show the first ten minutes of the pilot which premieres this Wednesday March 20th @ 8pm on Freeform.

All I have to say is I can not wait to see the whole thing. They did not waste anytime in diving right in and getting things going. The explanation as to how Mona and Allison end up in the same rural town is, well, dare I say it? Perfection, yep, I said it.

The rest? Well I've got a secret and I'm gonna keep it...enjoy some of the PLL experience with me, won't you? Shhhhhhhhh....
