Paint A Rumor: Sharon Stone Attacks "Journalists"

Stone & Banderas: Seriously Does This Look Like Two People Dating?!
"I find this salacious, unkind, unfounded reporting to be the typical pretense of what passes as 'journalism' today." - Sharon Stone addressing the rumors she and Antonio Banderas are dating

Here, here Ms. Stone I completely agree with the above statement. As a journalist I do not want to remotely be thought of as a hack or someone who does not know the facts before they shoot their keyboard off.

When I first saw this item that Banderas and Stone were involved via a post by a "journalist" on my Facebook home page, while I do not purport to know either personally, I was suspect enough of it not to post it here on Entertain Me.

"Antonio is a brother to me, and Melanie (Griffith) has been with me for each and every birth of my three children, They are my family" Sharon told the Daily Mail.

The photos of them taken together at the Cannes Film Festival, like the one above, do not show any signs of flirtation or romance. They look like two good friends who have an affection for one another. All you would have to do is look at them for proof that this rumor is false.

Yes, they do look amazing together as beautiful people usually do and let's hear it for both them proving over fifty is hot, hot, hot and leave it at that.

Dear fellow "journalist" if you insist on still calling yourself that, who posted this via Facebook, please stop giving other people in the field a bad name and check yourself, before you wreck it for the rest of us who report responsibly.

Thank you.

Michael Shinafelt has left the building.

Shocker, Not Really: Melanie Griffith & Antonio Banderas Split

Griffith & Banderas
Well, at least they are not consciously uncoupling, and think that water has feelings...
"We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost twenty years marriage in a loving and friendly manner honoring and respecting each other, our family and friends and the beautiful time we have spent together" - Melanie & Antonio
It's been a long time coming in this writer's estimation, and I hear the split is amicable, one of the most unlikely couples in Hollywood to ever get married are calling it quits. You've got to give it to them they lasted eighteen years.
Here's the 411: The famous duo have been married for 18 years and have one daughter together, Stella, who turns 18 in the fall.
Griffith has cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for ending her marriage to the Spanish actor and is asking for spousal support.

Best to both of you.

Reel Life: The Skin I Live In

OK, Alrighty, I cop to being a huge fan of Pedro Almodovar's films. That being stated this is and isn't your usual movie by this great filmmaker.

I really do not want to say too much about it, it is best experienced knowing only a crumb of knowledge here and there.

The IMDB synopsis that I quoted to my buddy who took me to a Screen Actors Guild showing of it turned out to be just the right amount of vague and intrigue: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1189073/

It's so perfect it let's you know just enough to reel you in, yet gives hardly anything away, that post screening my buddy said: "When you told me what the movie was about, that didn't even begin to describe it."

He is correct in that statement. I L-O-V-E-D this film, check it out, and thanks to my buddy for taking me !
