Michael's Musings

Could It Be Satan? Close It's -
Michael Shinafelt
"I'm off the deep end, Watch as I dive in, I'll never meet the ground
Crash through the surface" - "Shallow" Lady Gaga

This is the song that has been giving me life of late. The above lyrics taken from it is my mantra. I've met the ground before and it's never gonnna happen again,

Only 13 more days until Halloween, disciples!

Do something that truly scares you this month. Call it perfect timing.

A shout out to my friend Toni Trucks on the success of season two of Seal Team on CBS

Workout selfies are hot

While I am not invested in American Horror Story anymore, I am enjoying the WTF aspect of the current season - Apocalypse

Kristen Bell & Dax Shepard - Love will keep them together

That time when someone asked me to spot them $2 at McDonald's and I stated: I have money, but I'm not giving you any - empowering

Why did a Lesbian at the Ralph's confuse my order for two fried chicken legs, with two friend chicken breasts???

Lady Gaga is engaged and the ring cost 400 k - You go!

Guess what I'm wearing right now, and it isn't appropriate for public viewing (yet it should be)
Constance Langdon

The new Halloween opens this Friday, ghosts, ghouls & fiends!

Why would you dye your hair hot pink in my bathroom?

Michael's Musings

The New Black???
Michael Shinafelt
This past week has been a "Stormy" one - get it? wink, wink, nudge, nudge. Pretty much every week is of late.

Seriously with Easter falling on April Fools Day this weekend I feel so conflicted. Do I hunt for eggs or pull a rabbit out of my butt?

It's time to make a decision, and whatever you do make it yours!

What he said -
"The Stormy Daniels story isn't about Trump having an affair with a porn star. That's not news. It is about his campaign trying to threaten, intimidate and illegally use campaign funds to buy her silence just weeks before the election. Don't let the lurid details overshadow this." - George Takei

I licked it, so it's mine

Started doing an abs class on top of spinning, yoga & boxing - what a feeling!

How much wood can Wesley Woods chuck?

#fashioncompassion "Dear @StormyDaniels, I can only imagine how stressful things must be for you right now. Fashion shouldn’t be one of them. Let me know if you need a sleek ensemble. @teampinup @Laura_Byrnes" - Traci Lords

Hey Shakira, you don't have a monopoly on hips that don't lie

Sometimes I wonder...what? You thought I was going to tell you what that was???

Just saw that someone bit Beyonce, all I want to know is, how did she taste?

Renewed & It Feels So Good
Toni Trucks
A "beep beep" to my spin buddy and one of the stars of CBS' Seal Team, Toni Trucks for it getting picked up for season two

Is there anybody out there?

Unreal on Lifetime really lives up to it's title, I mean that in a good way

I have the hots for Teddi Mellencamp's husband Edwin on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Will someone finally reveal "who let the dogs out?!"

And now for my next trick...

Michael's Musings

Between A Rock & A...
Michael Shinafelt
In this day and age of social media, which I have been quite attentive to for business matters, I took some very minor down time this weekend. Only to find the fall out was pretty noticeable.

So all apologies for this, that & the other thing. The minute I came back all was well in the world.

So let's get to it, here is the week that was and will always be. Hey, it's a constant craving, moving on...

"Who cares if you crash and burn? At least you flew close to the sun" - Lawrence Blackhall

A shout out to my spin buddy Toni Trucks aka "Speedy" for booking the show SEAL Team on CBS

Everybody Wang Chung tonight

Big Brother has been on four weeks now, and I just noticed

I love frozen blueberries, in fact I am eating a bowl of them presently

Congratulations to Mike Clifford, his video for "What A Wonderful World" hit over 900 views and is racing towards 1,000!

Good morning to my friend Maresa Wickham wherever she is in the world right here, right now on her tour of it.

Because There Is Never Enough Whiskey...

My Guitar Wants Some Whiskey
Kiefer Sutherland
Leave it to Kiefer Sutherland to come out with a song about whiskey, it seems so right.

Check out it and the video below.

Kiefer Sutherland opens his songwriting notebook and premieres the pedal-steeled, country/Americana-tinged “Not Enough Whiskey” video on Rolling Stone Country Monday. “Not Enough Whiskey,” available April 1 on iTunes, is the debut track from Sutherland’s upcoming Down In A Hole album set for release this summer. Sutherland will also appear as a presenter during the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards™ Sunday, April 3 at 8/7c on CBS.

Sutherland, who co-wrote every track on the upcoming 11-track album Down In A Hole with producer Jude Cole, including “Not Enough Whiskey,” embarks on a nationwide 32-date tour April 14. See tour dates below.

“This record is the closest thing I’ve ever had to a journal or diary. All of these songs are pulled from my own personal experiences. There is something very satisfying about being able to look back on my own life, good times and bad, and express those sentiments in music. As much as I have enjoyed the writing and recording process, I am experiencing great joy now being able to play these songs to a live audience, which was something I hadn’t counted on,” Sutherland said of the 11-track album. A track listing and release date will be announced soon.

Sutherland, known for his starring role on the Fox series "24," also starred in movies like ‘Stand By Me’, ‘The Lost Boys’, ‘Young Guns’, Flatliners’, ‘A Few Good Men’, ‘A Time to Kill’, ‘Dark City’, ‘Melancholia’ and most recently, a western called ‘Forsaken’ and the upcoming ABC series “Designated Survivor.”

Taylor Hicks Goes "Silent" For The Holidays

TAYLOR HICKS RELEASES NEW 'SILENT NIGHT' SINGLE
IN CELEBRATION OF HOLIDAY SEASON

‘In Your Time’ and ‘Under The Radar’ albums available now

Taylor Hicks celebrates the Holiday Season by doing what many other popular artists before him have done. His own version of "Silent Night" - all the popular people are doing it, peer pressure, peer pressure!

Taylor Hicks, the Alabama-bred entertainer who first won over the hearts of America by winning the fifth season of "American Idol," is making a lots of heads (and ears) turn with his inspiring version of a Christmas classic – just in time for the holiday season.

The million-selling recording artist has just released his stirring take on the standard “Silent Night,” which he says is very meaningful to him.

“I remember going to church on Christmas Eve and singing ‘Silent Night’ would just give me chills… All the lights in the church went dark. We would all sing softly together as we lit candles down the aisle. With the Nativity on the altar and being surrounded by my closest friends and family, it really made me feel the true spirit of Christmas – and still does to this day,” Taylor said.

“When we recorded the single a couple months ago, it was well after midnight. The studio was dark and we lit candles to help get us into that same spirit. What we laid down that night was very heartfelt, and I really hope the fans can feel that, too. There’s too much darkness in the world today – and my hope is that this song can shed some light into those dark places."

“Silent Night” has already become the number one streamed song on the weekly PlayMPE Chart for the Christian music format, and is also being worked to pop radio and Holiday-oriented stations. The single is also available digitally through iTunes and Amazon.

The singer is getting himself in the holiday spirit with his appearance in the Hollywood Christmas Parade over Thanksgiving weekend, which will air on December 11 at 8pm ET/PT on the CW Network. He will return to his home state by helping to light the Alabama state capitol tree in Montgomery on Friday, Dec. 4th. Taylor will then lend skiing talents to the Deer Valley Celebrity Skifest (#DVSKIFEST) on CBS December 13.

"One of my favorite things about the holiday season is having the opportunity to give back," said Taylor. "Toys for Tots is a wonderful charity that I look forward to working with every year. There is no better feeling than being able to give back and be a small part of making a child’s Christmas extra special."

As 2015 wraps up for Hicks, the singer can point to a very busy past twelve months. Hard at work on a new album set for release next year, the singer has also seen two of his previous albums released digitally for the first time - 1997’s In Your Time and 2005’s Under The Radar. Hicks has also made his mark on the culinary world as a partner in Saw’s Juke Joint, located in the Birmingham area. The eatery has become one of the most popular restaurants in the region for barbecue.

A "Stalker" Romance

Maggie Q & Dylan McDermott
Sometimes life and art bleed together and it's hard to tell the difference, apparently such is the case with Dylan McDermott and Maggie Q who co-star on the new hit series Stalker on CBS.

Neither of them have confirmed it, but the stalkerazzi have caught them with their all seeing lenses out and about together looking thisclose.

Hey they have great chemistry on the show so this really should not surprise those who have seen it.

I have met Mr. McDermott he attended a play I was in once because one of my co-stars was his waiter at a restaurant where he was a regular. What a cool guy he is and if you think he looks good on TV you ought to see him in person.

Fact: Stalking cases have gone up 400 percent since the Internet boom, only two more days until Halloween!
