Monday Motivation

I'm Bad!
Cameron Diaz
Anyone catch the movie Bad Teacher starring Cameron Diaz? Bueller? I did with my then BF and found it quite amusing. It popped into my writing mind this ayem and is what inspired today's Monday Motivation.

While I toil away the hours memorizing for a test. "Yes" that's correct minions yours truly is storing info in his computer brain via text. Thus it made me think about teachers and such. The good ones, not the bad ones, but whilst ruminating on the good ones Bad Teacher popped into my consciousness. Because it was funny, Cameron Diaz was great in it & even the lamest of teachers can teach you a lesson. They make the good ones stand out.

Being as that our public education system is under fire I would like to give a hat tip and a high five to all those teachers who care. I had a few of them and they really shaped certain aspects of who I am today. I can only hope kids now have the same kind of caring individuals I did to help guide them.

Oh "Yes" I had a a couple of teachers I would have liked to wish into the corn field, and some that did their job but were not particularly inspiring. But you take the good you take the average and try to laugh at the bad, copy?

Anyway it's the good teachers that are giving me life and Monday Motivation today. Thanks for the kick in the ass to keep on keeping, and werk!

Sunday Funday!

Sssmokin'!
Gigi Hadid
While I know Halloween is over, I am in mourning for it at present. "Yes" I am missing the spirit of the season, not to mention the horror movie marathons that were happening on a constant basis.

So with one last gasp I wanted to trot out one of my favorite celebrity costumes this year. Behold Gig Hadid in a flawlessly executed "The Mask" costume. You remember "The Mask" don't you?

In case you don't it was a  1994 action comedy film, based on a series of comic books published by Dark Horse Comics. Starring Jim Carrey and a then unknown Cameron Diaz.

They played it once when I was on Jury Duty for us while we were waiting in the holding area. Not a bad movie, not a great one, but it was better than actually having to serve on a Jury.

Kudos to Ms. Hadid! She's putting some of the Funday into Sunday, indeed...

Time For A Photobomb...!

Bombs Away!
Jimmy Fallon, Cameron Diaz & Tourists
It's the weekend, Sunday to be exact and I am having a damned good time thus far. So when I came across this funtastic image of Jimmy Fallon & Cameron Diaz photobombing tourists, well I just had to publish it here on Entertain Me!

This photo pretty much sums up how I am feeling right here, right now and I wanted to share the levity. Feel my silliness, feel it!

As I sit here drinking my smoothie pre-spin class writing this, Jimmy and Cameron's antics are serving as inspiration for me as to what kind of shenanigans I intend to pull on others.

That's right peeps, watch out you never know where I am and what I might do.

File This Under: Unpredictable Fun

Have a good one!

PS Cameron Diaz - I Love You

Cameron Diaz
Let me clarify my love of Ms. Diaz, she is one of my favorite comedic actresses ever!

I will never forget when I first saw her in The Mask with Jim Carrey, I was on Jury Duty and was seated in the waiting area and they had the video on for our amusement, she was the highlight of the film, at least for me.

I continued to follow her career post that, she was also the highlight of the Julia Roberts starer My Best Friend's Wedding, sorry Julia your character was such a mid section with a capital C word that, really, who the Hell would marry your selfish ass?! Cameron's character was by far the more charming of the two of you.

Of course there is the classic There's Something About Mary and a personal favorite the critically vilified The Sweetest Thing with Christina Applegate and Selma Blair. Who could not love the dick song?!!!!!!

Well Cameron has a new one coming out, Sex Tape on July 18th with the equally funny Jason Segel. I can't wait for these two to pair again as they were so amaze balls together in another fave of mine Bad Teacher.

Ms. Diaz is 41 and and loves it! I agree 100% on this one, the 40's are the best! Here is what she has to say about it:

"I love it," Diaz says  "So much s– just falls away. Fear, mostly. It's the best age. That's when a woman knows how to work things, or she doesn’t care about that anymore. You just stop being afraid. You don't worry about what men think. You just don't worry that time registers anything awful." - she recently told Esquire Magazine

Of note, she strips down in Sex Tape, marking the first time she's been completely nude on screen.

"It's a first for me. But Jason Segel, (who co-stars) gets naked, too. It's just part of the role. So I did it. I mean, you see everything."

You Go Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrl!

TV Watch: "Charlie's Angels"

Now that my very favorite show on TV, "True Blood" has come to an end for another year (yes, waiting does suck!) what is a pseudo TV fan to do...?

Well here is a show that I grew up with, "Charlie's Angels." It is no secret that it is getting a re-boot as a TV series (for the sophomore time).

After two great, tongue in cheek movies starring two of my favorites,  Drew Barrymore (Executive Producer of the films and the TV show) & one of the best comedic actresses around Cameron Diaz, I have, I don't want to say high hopes, but expectations to be entertained with a new twist (like the movies) on an old, but loved series.

I remember as a kid watching the Angels jiggle their way through many adventures, my favorite Angel of all time was of course Farrah Fawcett. Her hair was almost like a supporting character in the series, it was pure camp heaven!

Who knows what to expect from the 3rd incarnation of this classic, that being stated I will be watching tonight to see how it plays out....how about you?
