Monday Motivation

Elation!!!
Chrissy Teigen & John Legend

Coming off a real tense Election I can honestly state that I'm riding in to this week with plenty of Monday Motivation. Our collective "Happy Place" has been restored.

Four years of abuse by the so called leader of the free world is coming to an end, and like Chrissy Teigen & John Legend seen here celebrating the outcome in West Hollywood, I too am elated.

So let's use that unifying energy to embark on something that makes us happy that we may have subjugated during this rough time ("Yes" we still have a pandemic to deal with, but we also have a new President who is taking it seriously and has already assembled a Pandemic Task Force) Thus that alone should make you feel somewhat better about the situation.

Me? I've put on those PP's = Pandemic Pounds, and am going on Nutrisystem. That's correct, I am going on a strict meal plan. So your get out there and do something for yourself that will make you feel good about, well, you!

Just Because...Chris Hemsworth

Beach Boy
Chris Hemsworth

Just Because we all need some election tension relief. Just Because we need to look at someone more attractive than Donald Trump & Just Because he's Thor. Here comes Chris Hemsworth in swim trunks, Woot!

So who said a prolonged on the edge of our collective sanity election couldn't be fun as well? C'mon don't be shy, gimme an answer. Our collective energy has voted a resounding "Yes!"

Thus if you need a break from the newest soap opera As The Election Turns (my stomach personally) just take gander at good ole Chris is his almost Birthday Suit down under, as in Australia mate!

Get Out & Vote!

It's here the day we've all been waiting for the November 6th Midterms aka The People Strike Back!

Thus I posted my favorite Midterm Meme (say that three times fast.)

"Yes" it's raunchy and off color, but it adds some levity to my day and maybe yours, or perhaps not...

Whichever way you view it, you have a voice and you should exercise it today. If you don't then you have no right to complain.

I will be hitting the polls after my Abs & Spin Class this ayem. Join me in the back booth won't you? Yeah, I figured you would.

Get Out & Vote!

Need to find your polling place? Just click on the link below click your heels together three times and say "F#ck Trump!"

Purple Rain in NYC

On Topic
Lady Gaga
"Honey, I know, I know
I know times are changing
It's time we all reach out

For something new, that means you too" - Prince, Purple Rain

Recently Lady Gaga was snapped in NYC sporting a T-Shirt bearing tribute to the late great Prince. This is timely in many ways considering the outcome of this weeks Presidential Election, and I am sure that's the way Gaga intended it, so there!

Honestly last night was the first decent night's sleep since the debacle I have gotten.

The lyrics above from the song really hit home, especially now. Times they are a changing, we do need to reach out for something new. Time will tell how everything plays out, but one thing is for sure, we need to dust off our disappointment and come together and do the right thing by one another. Remember there is strength in unity and our own individual personal power. No one can take that away from us.

T.G.I.F! Have a terrific weekend!

You Go Ghoul! Reese Witherspoon

Hi, I'm Reese Witherspoon
OK, before you all get evil and start throwing bobbed apples at me, I love Ms. Witherspoon, I simply like to keep my posts somewhat geared to my favorite time of year. Thus the "Ghoul" reference.

Actually this post is a Valentine not a Trick to one of my favorite actresses. Reese is awesome and so deserved her Academy Award for her performance as June Carter Cash in Walk The Line

Not to mention she was brilliant in two of my personal favorite films of all time, as Tracy Flick in Alexander Payne's Election and Vanessa Lutz in Freeway.

Vanessa: Holy shit! Look who got beat with the ugly stick. Is that you Bob? "Freeway"

I would like to give Reese the utmost respect for how she recently addressed her arrest in 2013. It was an honest comment on the human condition. Happy Halloween Reese!

Reese Witherspoon's arrest in April 2013 was something of a wake-up call -- and not just for her. Asked about the incident during a press conference for her new movie Wild at the BFI London Film Festival on Monday, Oct. 13, the actress said she thinks it opened the world's eyes to the fact that there's more to her than the America's Sweetheart persona she has cultivated on-screen.

"I think it was a moment where people realized that I wasn't exactly what they thought I was," the 38-year-old star said (via The Hollywood Reporter). "I guess maybe we all like to define people by the way the media presents them, and I think that I showed I have a complexity that people didn't know about."

Of the arrest -- for disorderly conduct in Atlanta, where she was filming The Good Lie at the time -- she added, "It's part of human nature. I made a mistake. We all make mistakes. The best you can do is say sorry and learn from it and move on."
