Monday Motivation

For some reason I woke this ayem with the phrase: "Good Vibes Only" rolling through my mind. Thus I'm gonna take it as a sign that it should be my Monday Motivation mantra.

TBH when is "Good Vibes Only" not a mantra to have? I ask you? I said I ask you? I'm waiting for that answer...to be continued.

So focus on accentuating those "Good Vibes" today because they are the key to a day of productivity and will keep you feeling groovy for the 24 hours known as Monday.

Time for me to put my "Good Vibes Only" to work, "Yes" it's time for some of that ole Monday Motivation peeps.

Now where did I put my rhythm stick?

Just Because....I Called It

Love Me Tender
Austin Butler & Vanessa Hudgens

Just Because they are a cute couple, Just Because they are in my hood & Just Because I called it (we'll get to that in a moment) Here are Austin Butler & Vanessa Hudgens!

Aren't they cute out and about in Los Feliz (part of my immediate hood)? Aren't they cute I said, no answer me and answer me now!!! OK, have it your way.

What's that, oh yeah the I called it part of the "Just Because" - Well remember when I ran a piece on the actors in contention to play Elvis in Baz Luhrmann's upcoming biopic and Austin was one of them? Fine if you don't remember but you missed out. Why? Because I said Austin would (and did) land the role of Elvis Presley.

My reason was, while I am sure all the guys in the running were talented enough Austin bore the most physical resemblance to the late Rock-N-Roll legend.

"Yes" I missed my calling I should have been a casting director.

Just Because I am a smarty pants have a groovy day!

Seeing Red

The Woman in Red
Emma Thompson
I love when celebrities of the female variety hit the red carpet in, well red. "Yes" you know the old adage when the carpet matches the drapes? Well in this case it's the carpet matching the draping.

One of the key reasons for this is most women look smashing in red. Case in point, one Emma Thompson having some fun at the London gala screening of her latest Late Night, by doing what else? Striking a pose!

Late Night for the record is directed by a friend of mine, Nisha Ganatra - congrats Nisha on scoring, not one, but two great actresses for the project. Thompson, of course and Mindy Kaling who also wrote the screenplay. This is one I want to see based on the pedigree of the talent on and off camera alone.

So today I am Seeing Red and it is not a bad thing. In fact it is having quite the opposite effect and I am feeling groovy 😎

Fashion! Turn To The Left
Gwen Stefani
Just Because I like her music, with No Doubt & solo. Just Because I also like her style jam. I present you with an ultra cool image of Gwen Stefani strutting her stuff in Los Angeles.

See Gwen strut down the street like she is on a catwalk wearing clothes better than most mortals on an average day. See Gwen's flawless ageless skin. See Gwen give off effortless grace...

Gwen, Gwen, Gwen, Gwen that's all I'll ever hear and see today now! Ya  know what? That isn't a bad thing because Gwen is like a an anti-depressant, a spoonful of sugar, a ray of light, You get the picture.

So enjoy Gwen, let her help you start the week off on a high note, OK a mid range one.

Working "9 to 5"

Trio
l-r Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin & Dolly Parton

Well this should be fun! Jane Fonda & Dolly Parton are going to present Lily Tomlin the 53rd SAG Lifetime Achievement Award at the what else? The 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on January 29th

OK, I don't get the 53 and 23 thing, but I do comprehend why the award is being presented on the SAG Award Show. It really doesn't matter anyway when it brings us 9 to 5 reunion, right?!

"Yes" Fonda, Tomlin & Parton have remained close friends all these years since their classic work place comedy 9 to 5 was released December 19th 1980, the day after my Birthday, there's a piece of trivia I bet  you didn't know before.

I was taken to see it that weekend actually (I wasn't old enough to drive yet and of course you know my Mother wanted to see it too) What a fun movie it was and still is.

This will make the SAG Awards a must see for me this year, well at least this part of the show, and I am sure this news has put a smile on all your collective faces, thus I have done my job.

Later and have a Groovy Tuesday

Who Is That Masked Man???

The Mummy Starring
John Stamos
Seriously, I would have never guessed it was John Stamos behind the mask. He's pretty mummified, thus it's too hard to really tell who it is.

That being stated, while I never found Stamos attractive when he was younger, ever since he has hit his 50's he has really come into his own and well, yeah, the guy is hotter than he has ever been. There I said it now leave me alone.

I'm going to have to do some detective work to find out what he masks his face with because whatever the magical elixir is, it is doing a bang up job! Love to keep what I have looking fresh in my 50's too.

Well I am off to spin soon at Gold's Gym Hollywood, yep, that's the way I roll on Sunday mornings, however you roll have a groovy day!!!

It's Party Time!
Kyle Richards & Lisa Vanderpump
In case any of you out there are having some Real Housewives of Beverly Hills yearning, like me, until the season six December 1st premiere on Bravo. Never fear Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards are here!

The two were red as Rosea Wine while attending a party in  Puerto Vallarta, Mexico together. Guess they really have kissed in make-up.

The photo is courtesy of Ms. Richard's Instagram, with no clever caption to accompany it. C'mon Kyle with your sass I expected more from you!

Being that it is Friday and that the weekend is here I thought this was a groovy way to get the party started!
