25 Years Of Law & Order: SVU

Law & Order
Ice-T & Mariska Hargitay

I would be remiss if I did not acknoledge that my favorite TV show ever Law & Order: SVU is currently airing it's record breaking 25th season on NBC!!!

Thus there has been much celebration and press covering the blessed event focusing on rhe two stars who have been with it the entire run Mariska Hargitay & Ice-T.

Ice sums up the appeal of the show like this: "The beauty of SVU is that its entertainment doubles as a source of comfort for many. Characters like Fin Tutuola, Hargitay's Olivia Benson and even Kelli Giddish's Amanda Rollins are determined to get justice, and they can do it all in the span of 45 minutes."

Exactly! Justice is almost always served on SVU and in a world of uncertainty that is comfort of the highest order.

Here's hoping SVU goes at least a few more years past season 25...Kudos!

The Legend Of Ice-T: Crime Stories

MVD Entertainment and Ruffnation Entertainment are proud to announce the November 3rd release of Ice-T's The Legend of Ice-T: Crime Stories, a limited edition 3-LP set on 180 gram audiophile-grade vinyl.

Ice-T announced the release with an unboxing video on his Instagram account to his 1.2M followers, and he posted a video on his X account, which generated almost 190k views.

Chris Schwartz, owner of Ruffnation Entertainment, stated, “When you look at the volume of artists brought to us via hip-hop culture, there have been less than a handful who have true multi-generational appeal. Ice-T is hip-hop's first breakthrough actor, spokesperson, and chronicler.

Ice-T is the original embodiment of LA hip-hop and a cultural icon who helped popularize gangster rap. Ice-T's Crime Stories features some of the most powerful songs from his catalog, as well as some lesser-known and previously unreleased material. Through his music, his books, and his lecture tours of America's prisons, high schools, libraries, and colleges (including Harvard, Princeton, and Stanford), Ice-T has become an influential spokesman for America's youth, regardless of color.

His first break came when the producers of the film Breakin' asked him to rap in the movie. He went on to become rap music's preeminent gangster, writing songs like "Six in the Mornin" and "New Jack Hustler." Ice-T formed Rhyme Syndicate Records in 1989 and released a string of groundbreaking West Coast rap records. His 1991 self-titled debut contained the controversial single "Cop Killer." His group Body Count was the most critically acclaimed act on the highly successful 1991 Lollapalooza tour. Ice-T currently stars in NBC's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as Detective Odafin Tutuola.

Monday Mood

Hell Monday
Ice-T

This week I'm rolling into Monday like "Hi" - trying to keep it real and honest while maintaining my sanity. Meaning I need to visit my "Happy Place" and try to block out the strife and chaos around me.

So Ice-T on the set of Law & Order: SVU in NYC waving at fans is my spirit animal for the week. Ice is one cool dude and Law & Order: SVU is absolutely one of my "Happy Places" as it is my favorite TV Show ever.

Thus I hereby present my Monday Mood...and aren't you happy?!

Just Because...Chic Out!

Stepping Out
Naomi Watss
Just Because she looks so chic in this black ensemble, Just Because she is a power house actress & Just Because everyday is not like today I bequeath you Naomi Watts taking it to the streets in NYC.

Oh Naomi you look so fine you blow my mind, Naomi, hey, Naomi! Despite that Naomi's star making role (deservedly so) was in David Lynch's Mulholland Drive. She first came to my attention in the movie Tank Girl

Ya that loopy movie where Ice-T played a kangaroo human hybrid that goes like this:
"A girl is among the few survivors of a dystopian Earth. Riding a war tank, she fights against the tyranny of a mega-corporation that dominates the remaining potable water supply of the planet"

A word to the wise this is one movie where you probably don't want to be a Jet Girl like Naomi was.

Moving on...up I hope, or not. "Yes" up for sure. Naomi ended up getting her first Oscar nomination for a film called 21 Grams. Which I found challenging, thus I loved it!

Now where did I stash my cool black ensemble?

It's Better With A Ball Gag...

Slave 4 U
Ice-T & Coco
Ice-T is honestly one of my favorite actors. He among many other reasons, is why I tune into Law & Order: Special Victims Unit which has been on the air for a whopping 18 seasons!!! The show is a personal favorite of mine in case you can't tell.

As a side note I also I worked with his daughter in another life at a Talent Agency. She was a receptionist, and I was in accounting. Tell me more you say? Nope, you will have to read my book when it comes out for that story. Hey what would the Halloween season be without tricks?

So Ice and his curvy wife Coco are known for their hot & hotter Halloween costumes

I decided to present you with my fave. The couple dressed hellbent for leather, with Coco in charge and Ice with a ball gag in his mouth.

These guys always make me smile when I see them together because they seem so happy with one another. Keep on keeping you two!
