Sunday Sinema: Kansas City

Returning to the city of his birth for inspiration, legendary maverick director Robert Altman helms an evocative, bullet-riddled tribute to the music and movies of his youth in Kansas City, a Depression-era gangster flick as only he could make one. Blondie O'Hara (Jennifer Jason Leigh) resorts to desperate measures when her low-level hood husband Johnny (Dermot Mulroney) gets caught trying to steal from Seldom Seen (Harry Belafonte), a local crime boss operating out of jazz haunt The Hey-Hey Club. Out on a limb, Blondie kidnaps laudanum-addled socialite Carolyn (Miranda Richardson), hoping her influential politician husband can pull the right strings and get Johnny out of Seldom Seen's clutches. Nominated for the Palme d'Or at Cannes, and featuring a remarkable soundtrack performed live by some of the best players in contemporary jazz, one of Altman's most underrated and idiosyncratic films finally makes its long-awaited Blu-ray™ debut.

Sunday Schwing! Steven Weber

Dropping Trou For Your Viewing Pleasure
Steven Weber

Yesterday all my troubles seemed so far away...Kidding! Yesterday however I flashed on memories of the film Single White Female, you know that creepy ass number starring Jennifer Jason Leigh and Bridget Fonda? Well it also starred 90's it guy Steven Weber, who got naked in it, all the way naked, full monty, the family jewels, full frontal....you get the picture.

Not only did Steven star in the hit series Wings along side Timothy Daly he appeared in numerous movies of that era other than SWF. Including the title role in Jeffrey based on the Paul Rudnick play.

He then at 53 flashed his still supple booty on TNT's Murder in the First. That Steven he is such a giver.

What? No I did not write this just to tease you. Since I am a giver too I am providing a link to Steven and his flesh courtesy of Tye Briggs Favorite Hunks & Other Things below.

Schwing my minions, schwing!

Get an eyeful of Steven here:

TV Watch: "Revenge" & "American Horror Story"

Two of my most favorite shows ever debuted last year..."Revenge" & "American Horror Story" and while I know I am a little slow on the draw with writing about the latest casting news, well whatever, I was busy writing about other things, so there and bite me!

So now I write as a fan of both shows who is over the moon or licking an udder about two of the most juicy pieces of casting evuh!

You got it, this is a fan gush, get over it. First off how brilliant was it of for the peeps behind "Revenge" to cast one of my favorite actresses, Jennifer Jason Leigh as Amanda's Mom?! She will more than go toe to toe with Madeline Stowe, she will obliterate that beotch, "Single White Female" anyone? JJL glad to have you back in a major role in a high profile project, the last time I saw you was at a Harmony Gold screening of your directorial debut with Alan Cumming - "The Anniversary Party" - "Yes" I know it's not the last time you worked, but it's the last time I saw you...go grrrrrrrrrrl, you are fierce!

Oh, and lest we forget one of the hottest men and stars on the planet, Adam Rivai Levine is on the second cycle of "American Horror Story".

Wonder if he will show butt like Dylan McDermott, odds on bet? "Yes" - hey he is sexy as heck and no proper hottie remains clothed in a horror opus.

Yep, I can't wait for the debut of these two shows, until then...I guess there is always "The People's Court".

Until they premiere tune into:
