Rainbow High

The Rainbow Connection
Kate Middleton

She's got the look of Pride Month. That's correct Minions today we have a Rainbow High Pride shout out from the Duchess of Cambridge herself Kate Middleton.

Hey, there's nothing like a dame and Kate is showing her true colors by supporting Pride under her umbrella.

To the casual observer it may look simply like Kate has a multi-hued rainbow umbrella, but to those who are in tune to the world at large we know she is giving a show of support to Pride Month.

Given that the colors are specific to said Pride ones how could you not get the Duchesses intentions? I ask you, of course I can not wait for an answer so I am moving on...

Kudos to Ms. Middleton for the show of solidarity, for those about to accessorize your frock with Pride we salute you!!!

Hump Day & Chill

Does This Wine Give Me A Silky Sheen?
Kate Middleton
Today's Hump Day & Chill is brought to you by The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton & Cabernet Sauvignon. Yeah, you read that correctly minions.

According to hairstylist John Blaine, a serving of Cab is the secret to Katie's shine & bounce in her hair. He also teases Dita Von Teese's tresses (say the three time fast, I dare your ass.)

However it really isn't about imbibing it, nope, you apply it straight to your hair.

Well alrighty then, file this under take it or leave it potential useless information.

Frankly, I'd rather drink Cab, by the gallons than pour it on what's left of my hair. "Yes" it is my favorite form of grape.

So saddle up beside me and enjoy a glass or two, and don't F#cking waste it on your mane, or what's left of it.

Cheers Bitches!

Michael's Musings

Seeing Red
Michael Shinafelt
This week I am seeing red, not necessarily in a bad way, maybe somewhere split down the middle.

Perhaps Valentines Day had some sort of influence on my fixation. Or, perhaps not.

If The Tiara Fits

You Can Call Me Queen K...
Kate Middleton
I think my friend Shani Bayne is wearing off on me. I have never been a huge Royal watcher, but thanks to her Royal loving ways I am now paying more attention to the goings on over the pond. Yeah, I admit it, I am looking forward to Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's televised wedding.

With that cat out of the bag, I always did love Princess Diana. She took the Royal thing to a whole new level. She was accessible, kind, philanthropic, she gave not only of her money, but of her time and the greatest gift you can give anyone, her love.

So my interest in Kate Middleton donning one of Diana's favorite tiaras, The Cambridge Lover's Knot to a diplomatic reception at Buckingham Palace, is most likely about what a lovely tribute it was to one of the most beloved women in history.

"Yes" and my heightened awareness of the Royal Family due to Shani, damn you woman!

Kelly Mantle: "Your Keystrokes Won't Destroy Me"

Kelly Mantle Releases “Keyboard Courage”, The Debut Single From Her Upcoming “Duality” Album

Cyber-Bullying is a terrible thing, I myself as a public person have been on the receiving end of it. Like Kelly Mantle, I too am able to brush it off. However when you are young and have yet to develop coping skills, it can lead to devastating results - Here is the 411 on Kelly's single Keyboard Courage.

First, Prince William and wife Kate Middleton announced plans to tackle cyber-bullying; now, a queen is joining the fight.  RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Kelly Mantle’s new pop track, “Keyboard Courage”, is intended to be an anthem for anyone who has been harassed or stalked online.  “I’ve been called every name in the book,” she reveals.  “One person tweeted ‘Kelly Mantle is so ugly.  She looks like a burn victim going through chemo.’  Luckily, Kelly’s strong sense of humor allows her to brush off many of the personal attacks, but she wrote the song after meeting young fans being victimized online by kids in their schools. “Not everyone can laugh it off. It’s a scary thought that someone’s heartless, mindless words could drive another person to take their life.”  Kelly Mantle’s  “Keyboard Courage” is available on iTunes now at https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/keyboard-courage-single/id1052893996.

                                                              Keyboard Courage

“My hope is that Keyboard Courage can be that song kids listen to and be reminded to not get discouraged by online bullies,” continues Kelly Mantle from her Hollywood home. Produced by Steven Phillips, who also produced Mantle’s last album Satellite Baby,  “Keyboard Courage” is a high energy, 80’s inspired pop track.  It’s fun but with a powerful message.  The lyrics include actual negative comments that Kelly Mantle has received.

It isn’t the first time Kelly Mantle has reflected on real life in her music.  She followed her elimination from RuPaul’s Drag Race with a song called (what else?), “Eliminated”.

“One of my favorite things to do is to sit down with my guitar or at my piano and create a song about something that just happened to me,” she explains. “I get off on turning life experience into lyrics.  Ya know, figuring out how the rhythm behind the words can convey what happened.  I’m all about turning life into art.”

Kelly Mantle’s  “Keyboard Courage” is available on iTunes now at https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/keyboard-courage-single/id1052893996.   For more information, visit  KellyMantle.com.
