#RHOBH

The first part of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion has aired and my favorite well of online sarcasm Wrex Weed nailed this image from it brilliantly with his witty caption above.

"Yes" I follow Wrex on Twitter (I'm never not going to call it that) and other gems regarding BRAVO shows, and you should too!

Happy March 1st and TGIF Minions!!!

Just Because....Pat The Puss

Eye Of The Tiger
Zachary Levi
Just Because he's so damned cute, Just Because he has a movie coming out based on a Saturday morning TV Show I used to watch & Just Because he gives a whole new meaning to Erika Jayne's signature move "pat the puss" - Ladies & Gentlemen I bring you Zachary Levi!

See Zachary giving his own spin on "pat the puss" at a photo call for his new movie Shazam in London."Yes" it's Mr. Levi patting a different sort of puss than Erika Jayne, a stuffed tiger to be exact.

Whilst I watched Shazam as kid, I have no desire to see the movie. Honestly it looks lame. The only way I would go see it is if Zachary were going to appear fully naked in it and pat something other than the puss. If you get my drift and I know you do...

So that's what's new today pussycat - minus the whoa oh on this Friday March 22, 2019.

Michael just sayin'.

"For The Many"

UB40 To Release First New Album in Five Years
Just Ahead Of 40th Anniversary Tour

"For The Many" comes to CD and Vinyl on March 22nd

Includes a 24 page booklet complete with photos of the band
and lyrics to all songs
The 38 date 40th Anniversary Tour starts on March 29th in Portsmouth

Red, Red Wine - That Is All...

For The Many is the Birmingham reggae veterans' nineteenth studio album - their first since 2013's Getting Over The Storm. It features UB40's founding members Robin Campbell (co-vocals/Guitar), Brian Travers (saxophone/keyboards), Jimmy Brown (drums), Earl Falconer (bass/keyboards/vocals) and Norman Hassan (percussion/vocals), alongside long-time members Duncan Campbell (vocals), Martin Meredith (saxophone), Laurence Parry (trumpet) and Tony Mullings (keyboards).

Formed in Birmingham in 1978, UB40 named themselves after the UK government's unemployment benefit form. Their debut album Signing Off was released in August 1980 and is considered by many to be one of the greatest reggae albums ever released by a British band.

It was the start of a career that led to 100 million record sales worldwide and dozens of hits, including "Red, Red Wine," "I Got You Babe" and "(I Can't Help) Falling in Love with You" which all topped the charts in the UK and in many countries across Europe. The band had a run of hit albums that have spent a combined period of eleven years in the UK's Top 75 album chart, establishing UB40 as one of Britain's most successful bands of all-time.
UB40
Jimmy Brown said, "For The Many is our first original album with Duncan, and a true reflection of where the band are at right now. It gave us an opportunity to go back to our roots and draw on the 1970s-style reggae that inspired us to be in a band in the first place. We intended to make an uncompromising reggae album and I think we have achieved that. There's lots of dub, various guest toasters and a blend of love songs and political songs. I'm really happy with the final result. We're really looking forward to playing some of these tunes live on our 40th anniversary tour in spring next year."

Duncan Campbell said, "After ten years of fronting UB40, for us to make an album of our own original material feels like the final hurdle for me. The album and its title reflect how UB40 are all in support of Jeremy Corbyn and The Labour Party. Both of the songs I have written on the album (I'm Alright Jack and Poor Fool) also reflect this. We all feel this album is going back to what UB40 was all about and we are all excited for everybody to hear the album and looking forward to touring it."

Robin Campbell added, "For The Many" is a great mix of reggae styles, while the different artists we have collaborated with will appeal to more fans and tastes in reggae - it really is an album for the many. The 2019 UK tour is a continuation of our 40th year celebrations, as well as sharing tracks from our latest album. We're playing all over the UK instead of a few arenas dates, meaning our fans from all over the UK can get to see us much more locally and up close - truly a tour for the many."

ONAMANIA

Never Fear ONA is Here!

Let the mania commence!
Sultry singing sensation ONA is set to kick off her ‘Undisclosed Location’ tour in support of her forthcoming debut album, ONAMANIA, launching March 13th in Austin, Texas at SXSW Music Festival.

The tour will spotlight the sizzling star in a very provocative stage show across the U.S., an innovative ‘virtual concert’ model that is just one part of ONA's overall revolutionary NSFW music monetization lifestyle. Her second tour date is scheduled for March 24 in Hawaii, with further dates to be added throughout 2018.

The singer’s debut album, co-produced by ONA and KB2, a production team based in Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York, will be released on June 8 and continue to explore the various musical forms touched on in ONA’S 2016 EP Sex Rock - hard-driving rock, lush bedroom ballads, dirty grind funk, and epic orchestral pop.

ONA is quickly becoming a major media phenomenon, and she’ll be capitalizing on her momentum by spending the year traveling - a year-long road trip across America digitally broadcasting photos, videos and a live show to her 1.5 million+ fans via Snapchat, Instagram Live and her personal webcam.

On the night of each tour date ONA will perform songs from ONAMANIA via Instagram Live, and then she'll perform the rest of the album for ticket holders at a private (NSFW) webcam link - a night of chatting, dancing, stripping and a happy ending for ONA (and hopefully her fans).

Tickets are available for purchase at onamania.com.

You know the old saying March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb? Well being today is the last day of said month I am going to alter the saying to suit my whims, March comes in like a lion and goes out like a vampire slayer

That's right kids Buffy The Vampire Slayer turned 20 recently and of course Entertainment Weekly had a to do about it with cast photos and collector's edition covers.

I mean c'mon the show had, and still has one of the most rabid fan bases in the history of TV.

So T.G.I.F. and let's go out like Buffy on this 31st of March 2017, by checking out some groovy pics from EW, happy slaying!

Dance Erika, Dance!

She's A Painkillr
Erika Jayne
This morning I woke up with a reason to actually watch Dancing With The Stars this season. It turns out Erika Jayne of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will be on hand when the cast is officially announced March 1st! Yahoooooooooooooo....!!!

Can I get a Pat The Puss?! I knew I could...this will give the show a much needed shot in the arm after the previous lackluster season (I don't even remember who was on, nor did I watch any of it.)

Erika is my favorite "Housewife" bar none. She has class, sass and most of all she IS real and gives zero fucks. I'll let you in on a secret, I actually follow her on Instagram, the more you know.

I will for sure be tuning in to see Jayne shake her groove thang! She gives the gays everything they want and more after all.

Heather Langenkamp is a "Nightmare"

French Kissin' in the USA
Heather Langenkamp
While Heather Langenkamp aka Nancy Thompson the erstwhile heroine of a Nightmare on Elm Street bit the dust in a Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors she did rise again in Wes Craven's New Nightmare, a reboot of sorts as the kids say these days.

Well she's back to be terrorized for your amusement in the horror flick, Home.

We all know that is where the tell tale heart is. But instead of the razor gloved one, she has to contend with this mess:
Carrie, a young, spiritual woman, is abandoned by her father and forced to move in with her mother (Langenkamp) and stepsister, whose lifestyle conflicts with everything she’s come to believe in. In addition to this test on her values and convictions, Carrie believes the new house possesses evil, paranormal forces. During one terrifying night after her mother leaves on a business trip, Carrie and her boyfriend conduct an exorcism to rid the house of its supernatural presence. But, instead of purging the spirit, they awaken an even more sinister terror that begins to haunt and torture them. Now, as creepy occurrences lead to full-blown terror, Carrie must confront savage forces to protect her little sister and save their lives.
Squishy!
Hey Heather it's time to meet your little sister on March 1st! Yes, that's when it comes out on VOD and DVD.

Trip Out On "Memory Lane"

Memory Lane coming on March 24th
A brilliant science thriller that has been                compared to independent  sci-fi               classics  Pi , Memento and Primer

"Shawn Holmes, an Afghan War veteran, spent the last of of his savings to make "Memory Lane."

So glad the lead character in this film has one of those things, you know, your childhood, your past, oh a memory...

The psychological thriller tells the story of a war veteran who travels the real world and the afterlife in search of his fiance's killer by stopping and restarting his heart. Holmes started writing around the third grade and has been writing with his friend Hari Sathappan for years.

"Memory Lane is really just a combination of a lot of stuff that we have written from way back then to the middle of college so we just kind of combined everything we had and it turned out to be this," said Holmes. Friends were all over the set while making "Memory Lane" and when they were off set, too. Holmes' two roommates Zac Snyder and Michael Guy Allen, who is an Afghan War vet like his character, star in the movie.

"I wrote a lot of it around his experiences as an Afghan War combat veteran," said Holmes. "My other friend Zac Snyder also lived with us at the time, he stars in the movie. All the actors just volunteered so it was really easy to shoot being that I lived with two of the stars."

Once finished, "Memory Lane" was shown by the West Virginia Filmmakers Guild and Holmes was the youngest nominee ever for WV Filmmaker of the Year. Holmes then released "Memory Lane" online for one weekend and reached 22 thousand hits including the Wall Street Journal and Yahoo which helped build buzz and land Holmes in Hollywood where he's currently working on various high level projects.

Synopsis
When PTSD-plagued war vet Nick returns home and finds that his finance Kayla has committed suicide, he decides to take his own life, but what he sees in flashbacks moments before he is resuscitated leads him to believe Kayla was murdered. Now Nick must travel back and fourth between our world and the afterlife in a search of her killer - but to do it, he will need to die over and over again.

"Unpack Your Memories" With Trevor Hall

Trevor Hall: He's Back and Ready to Chill

Trevor Hall
To Release New EP
Unpack Your Memories on March 27th
Australian Tour Begins on April 2nd followed by U.S. dates in late Spring

“Songs come and songs go. Some get lost in the folds of time, while others are passed on and shared in infinitude.”Trevor Hall

Chill dude Trevor Hall is Back!
Check out my full length chat with him about his last effort Chapter Of the Forrest here, cheers -

http://mshinafelt.blogspot.com/2014/06/chillaxin-with-trevor-hall.html

Singer-songwriter Trevor Hall has announced the release of a new EP Unpack Your Memories, due out on Vanguard Records on March 27th. This five song collection includes some of Hall’s most personal tracks recorded solely by him, on his laptop.
Hall talks about the history of these songs and why he chose to share them with the world at this time. “Unpack Your Memories  is a collection of songs that have been in my “vault” for a long time now,” Hall says. “Some just didn’t make the other albums and some were just too intimate to share at the time. Now they are ready to breathe and be shared with others. The name of the album says everything … These are all songs that have become memories for me. I am reaching into my bag and unpacking them - unpacking their meaning, the memory of where I was when I wrote them, and the feelings that they brought me so many years ago. As the saying goes, ‘You never meet the same river twice.’ Every time I hear these songs, they teach me something new or offer me the gift of a new perspective.  There are many other songs that are still in my vault, but I felt these were the most important to share at this time. The songs all came up together like the roots of a tree, and have taken form in the EP.”

Click here to listen to the title track “Unpack Your Memories.” The Unpack Your Memories EP is available for pre-order from the Vanguard Records store here .

Lena Dunham Goes Full "Scandal"

Fan Girl, Lena Dunham & Kerry Washington
"Basically, my life's great passion is the idea of being a guest-star on Scandal,"  Lena Dunham creator and star of HBO's Girls recently confessed during an interview with Grantland's B.S.Report. "I want to be like, a senator who did something wrong."

Well Lena the Casting Fairy has granted your wish and you will be appearing on the drama this March.

No real details have been divulged, but I bet she is somehow connected with Olivia Pope & Associates, since everyone else in the world is a mere few degrees of separation from the agency headed by Kerry Washington as the "Pope" of Washington D.C.

Dunham reportedly wants to play an "evil character" - I hope so that would be juicy!

'Tis The Season For Queen Latifah

Queen Latifah Rulz!
I have always loved Queen Latifah! When I first saw her in Set It Off I was a fan!
She has always brought something unique and interesting to every film she has graced. Not to mention she is one bad ass singer!
The news that her talk show has been cancelled is sad indeed. This being stated Ms. Latifah proves why she has the title of Queen.
Although the cancelled talk show will still run through March, since it has been given the boot the crew is no longer necessary. The Queen is using her own money to pay the show's crew through the Holidays.
"Your Family, Partners, Staff and Crew showed up with you every step of the way. Be very proud of that! Not everyone can say the same," the message continued. "You can also say you have been a blessing to and been blessed by amazing guests and incredible audiences for this show. We truly changed people's lives for the better. So…stay positive, stay strong, and most important, stay open...There is so much more God has in store!"
The Queen concluded with: "This letter is for me, my staff, my crew, and everyone who was by my side for this incredible journey," she wrote. "The most important thing in life is that you wake up every single day and take chances. No matter what the outcome…believe in yourself and continue to fly."
What's up next? Queen Latifah is getting great buzz for her portrayal of legendary blues singer Bessie Smith in HBO's upcoming Bessie. I can't wait!
Long live the Queen!

Way To Go, Margaret Cho!

Margaret Cho
Friend and "Entertain Me" favorite the one the only Margaret Cho landed the coolest gig ever recently!

That's right Ms. Cho has landed the role of the administrator in the untitled Tina Fey and Matt Hubbard university comedy for FOX simply known as "Cabot College" read on peeps...

Fox's untitled Tina Fey and Matt Hubbard women's university comedy has found its administrator in a familiar face.
The comedy takes place at a women's college that has just opened its doors to men for the first time. 30 Rock Emmy nominee Margaret Cho has boarded the untitled comedy known as Cabot College.
Cho will play the series regular role of Laura Thibault, the president of Cabot College who made the difficult decision to admit men into the school. She's further described as a divisive figure on campus and does her best to be welcoming of the male freshmen but is often irritated by their antics.
Production on the comedy  begins in March!
The casting marks a reunion for Cho with both Fey and Hubbard after the actress played Kim Jong-Il and his son, Kim Jong-Un. She earned a guest actress in a comedy Emmy nomination for the former role.

Way to go Margaret!

Naama Kates: It's Good To Be "King"

Naama Kates

Naama Kates is back, after her critically acclaimed debut "The Unexamined Life" and the hit single "Before You Lose It" Naama has recently released the CD "King for the Day" I highly recommend it!

Ms. Kates has this to say about her latest: "I wrote it when I was working on"The Unexamined Life", it was the first song I wrote after that record, while it was in production because I felt like, I was kind of living this dream really that I didn't even imagine, having my record done by this amazing producer, its like a lot of musicians' dreams when they come to LA I think".

I caught up with Naama during her album release show at The Silverlake Lounge on March 13th, where she and her band performed a flawless hour long set - It's Naama time!

MS: How are you my dear?

NK: I'm alright, how are you?

MS: Fine. You were so amazing tonight, The Silverlake Lounge has really great acoustics.

NK: Of course I didn't hear what my band sounded like, but I heard what the other ones did, it can be a little loud acoustic wise in there.

MS: I thought the acoustics for your show were dead on.

NK:  You're right, I have seen other shows there and they have sounded really good.

MS: When I go to a live show, I always expect a glitch here and there, but yours was like hearing the album, except it was live.

NK: You know what that is? It's because that is the way we recorded the album actually. There are no overdubs on it at all, all the songs are just a take that we chose, we did maybe a couple on each one, and just chose one. We played them how they are on the album, partly because it was more time and cost effective, that we did it that way (laughs) Hey, it worked!

MS: Very well by the way. I heard most of the album before I came to your show, my thing is I have to hear something a few times before I am super familiar with it.

NK: I so get that. Especially with this album it's not like other things. The structure is kind of wandering and stuff. I know I have to listen to music, a lot, before I know it, enough to know it when I go hear it live.

MS: What the Hell with that girl who was talking louder than your show?

NK: Yeah, she was talking the whole time, I could hear the same voice, at the same frequency in my ear the whole time, but I couldn't see anything with the lights on me, but the TV in the corner.

MS: I could not locate her either, I'm like "WTF is that coming from"?!

NK: She was near the front I think.

MS: Well I said something to Andrea ( Delesdernier Naama's PR person) She said "that happens with every show" I'm like noooooooo, that was really special, I mean I talk during a show, but you can't hear me over the whole thing!

NK: Oh, I know, I know. My thing is, I don't mind people talking at my shows, people are there with their friends. But if I am at a show or whatever and I am sitting really close to the front, I won't talk. All I heard was "wa wa wa wa"

Myself & Naama Post Silverlake Lounge Show
MS: Yeah, it was really rude. What I would like to say about the music off of "King for the Day" is it is a lot more low key than the "Unexamined Life".

NK: It's more down tempo.

MS: The more uptempo songs were not as frequent on "King" as they were on "Unexamined". Is that where you are at right now?

NK: You know, I don't really plan that when I write. Like, I don't ever have any pre-conceived ideas what I am going to write, period, when I do. All I know is I am going to write...I just sit down and do it, I guess it is a reflection of where I am. The things I am talking about on this album are a little more calm, it also has a lot to do with the arrangements. It was arranged with a four piece band, it was really organic.

MS: I get that, that's the way I write, and I think all writers do too. But, even though you say "it's what comes out" it is not as random as we writers think.

NK: There is definitely some driving force behind it, with the subconscious and everything...pushing the message out. But you are not calculating it or contriving it consciously at the same time.

MS: I one hundred percent agree with that. Creativity is winged on it's own level.

NK: Definitely! Life is not that deliberate.

MS: BTW, since I turned you on to it, are you loving "Pretty Little Liars"?

NK: Yes! Great characters and story, good call!
