Mother's Day

Fun Times!
l-r
My Sister, Sue Waters, My Mom & Me
It's that day of the year again. You know the one set aside to acknowledge Mom's everywhere.

So I tip my hat to all women out there who have taken on this important job.

On that note let me tip my hat to the two special ones. "Yes" that's correct peeps it's time to meet my Sister and my Mom.

Needless to say I love them both and think they are both amazing in their own way. My Mom paid me a visit in Los Angeles this past Christmas and we had a blast.

My Sister, Sue Waters needs to, so we too can have a blast. In the meantime she is the Step Monster to my three nieces who call her that jokingly as a term of endearment.

The two of them have influenced my life in many wonderful ways and helped to make me the best version of myself I can be. So here's to the two of you and all the rest...

Happy Mother's Day!

Love,
Michael

Patricia Arquette, Straight Up

So Cool: Patricia Arquette
I have always been a fan of Patricia Arquette's. Whatever she is in she adds that extra level that makes it something special. A few of my personal favorites: True Romance, Ed Wood & David Lynch's Lost Highway.

Aside from her considerable acting talent I also have a love for the fact that she is a humanitarian and stands up for what she believes in.

One of my very favorite reports about her is how the producers of her hit series Medium requested she lose weight for the role. Nobody hits the point better than Patricia when her response was a firm "No" as she countered that her role was that of a housewife and a mother who would not look like a Victoria's Secret model.

I happened upon this tidbit between her and another favorite actress Mom of mine, Amy Adams on Jezebel here is what the site printed:

Patricia Arquette:  I had a big fight with one paparazzo.
Amy Adams: I wish I had been there to have your back.
Patricia Arquette: He kept following us. And I said, "OK, leave us the fuck alone." And he goes, "Nice, mom! Good job!" I said, "I'm teaching my daughter. If a man is following you and you tell him to go away and he doesn't, you turn around and say, 'F— you!' as loud as you can." Because there's no difference. I don't care if he has a camera.

Awesome!!! The woman is teaching her children not to talk to strangers and just because you hold a camera does not make it right for you to approach a child in any way, shape or form. So yeah paparazzi Ms. Arquette put it perfectly: F#@k you!

Alicia Keys - Happy "Bump Day"

Alicia Keys, Peace
"I don't care what your differences are with your Moms. If you can do it. Hold them and tell them that you love them" - Erik Rimmer

What a lovely sentiment from a special guy.

Everyone must know how much I love the site of a nude pregnant woman by now...after my post about Christina Aguilera how could you not?

Well the lovely and talented Ms. Alicia Keys is the latest on the list to show her glow, and it's for charity. With an awesome peace sign emblazoned across her tummy, so cool!

Alicia's goal is to connect her millions of fans with reputable organizations tackling big issues, from hunger and poverty to LGBT rights and gun violence. Keys has donated $1 million to be split among 12 groups and released a new song, "We Are Here," to get even more attention.

In honor of Ms. Keys and her bundle of joy. I am going to publish the link to the twelve charity's that this photo was meant to benefit.

As she states: "People won't be able to ignore this visual."

Hey Alicia, nobody does it better...love sent to you and yours.

Remember, Mom's Rule! Happy "Bump Day!"
