One of my favorite people and my favorite TV Shows of all time, together on one night...I'm so in!

Emmy and Grammy Award-nominated actress, comedian, author and producer Margaret Cho will guest star in the record-breaking 21st season of “Law & Order: SVU.”

Cho will guest star as the manager of a massage parlor who’s swept up in a sex trafficking sting operation.  The episode, titled “Counselor, It’s Chinatown,” will air in November.

An accomplished performer in all formats, Margaret Cho could be called the “Queen of all Media” having conquered the worlds of film, television, books, music and theatre. She has five Grammy Award nominations (two for music albums, “Cho Dependent” and “American Myth”) and one Emmy nod for her groundbreaking work on NBC’s “30 Rock.” Never one to shy away from a difficult or taboo topic, her socially aware brand of stand-up comedy has made her both a thought leader as well as a teacher to those with open minds and open hearts. In 2017, Rolling Stone magazine named her one of the 50 Best Stand-Up Comics, calling her “the sort of funny, sex-positive feminist and LGBT activist younger comics continue to look up to.”  Equally as important as her creative side is the causes she is passionate about. Margaret is widely recognized for her charitable work with gay rights and anti-bullying campaigns. In every segment of her life, Margaret is honest, forthright, passionate, uproarious and always entertaining.

Watch all-new episodes of “Law & Order: SVU,” the longest-running primetime drama in television history, Thursdays at 10 p.m. on NBC.

Just Because...Janelle Monae

Express Yourself
Janelle Monae
Just Because this image gives me life, Just Because she's an amazing talent & Just Because she Janelle Monae Bitches. Janelle belting out her hits during a performance on NBC's Today Show at Rockefeller Plaza in NYC is all you need for any given Sunday.

While Janelle is primarily known as a powerhouse vocalist, it was her performance as Teresa in the film Moonlight that really got my attention. She was truly amazing!

Janelle is one of the rare talents who can, and does do it all and nails everything she commits to. She is so alive when she expresses herself through her art, her passion for what she does is joyous.

So, it's Sunday and you have a choice (there's always a choice) - play it safe or bend it like Janelle.

Which will you choose, I bet you know what I chose...

As If, Dolly Parton Is #1!

Left to right: Danny Nozell, CEO, CTK Management; Dolly Parton; and, Kirt Webster, President/CEO, Webster Public Relations

Because she can, can, can...

World-renowned singer/songwriter/entertainer Dolly Parton has a worldwide #1 album to celebrate this week. The superstar’s new release Pure & Simple debuts at #1 not only in the U.S., but, also on the national country charts in Canada, U.K. and Australia.

Dolly’s 43rd studio recording and the first release of her recently-announced joint venture between Dolly Records and Sony Music Nashville, achieves #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart with first-week sales of 20,000 units! This marks the first time Dolly has topped Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart in the 25-year history of SoundScan.

The new album which released August 19th on Dolly Records/RCA Nashville lands the #11 slot on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart with a first-week total consumption of 21,000. On Billboard’s Americana/Folk Albums chart, the disc debuts at #1. In the UK, Pure & Simple enters the all-genre album sales chart at #2, behind Frank Ocean’s Blonde.

Upon hearing the news, Dolly Parton, who co-produced and wrote every song on Pure & Simple, enthused, "Boy, it's a good day for me. I am a happy girl!" She continued, "It feels great to be #1 as it's been a long time and it feels so good to still be in the game after all this time."

Remarked Doug Morris, CEO, Sony Music Entertainment, “Congratulations, Dolly, for your stunning debut with Pure & Simple. You put your heart and soul in this album, and we join you in celebrating a long-overdue #1 on the country album chart.”

“I thought it was a magical time back in 1981, when I first started working with Dolly as we set up her Best Little Whorehouse album on RCA, right after her huge hit, ‘9 To 5,’” reflected Randy Goodman, Chairman & CEO, Sony Music Nashville. “I spent a week with her on the RCA jet visiting radio and retail all over the country.” Goodman continued, “But, to be reunited with Dolly and have a #1 debut is wonderful. Thank you, Doug Morris for bringing Dolly back to RCA.”

CTK Management CEO Danny Nozell said, "There is nobody more deserving of this tremendous success. Having worked with Dolly for the past 13 years, I have never met any person that works harder than her.” Nozell added, “She is a businesswoman that understands her brand and knows exactly what to do and when to do it, and once again, she proves it with a #1 album."

Last week, Dolly Parton made appearances on NBC’s Today and Tonight Show, among other TV shows.

Guess Who's Coming To "The Voice?"

The Wind Beneath My Rock-N-Roll
Joan Jett & Bette Midler
Season 11 of The Voice is shaping up to be quite epic. With returning coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, newbies Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys have been added to the vocal re-mix.

But guess who else is coming to The Voice as vocal advisers??? Joan Jett will also be along for the ride. The Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame inductee was chosen by Cyrus, who joked about having sex with her and sang with her at her hall of fame induction ceremony.

Also none other than Bathhouse Bette, Bette Midler will be advising as well. Who, who, who brought the Bette on? Surprisingly it was Adam Levine. Apparently he digs her, interesting no? That being stated she will be working with Blake not Adam when the show airs.

There's going to be a whole lotta vocalizing going on when The Voice returns to NBC September 19th!

The Incredible Dolly Parton

She's Got Spirit, How About You?
Dolly Parton
Have you ever noticed that Dolly and the Little Engine that could are never in the same room???
Just saying...

Country music icon Dolly Parton, silver screen legend Sylvester Stallone, and popular comedian Jim Gaffigan are just a few of the creative forces behind the 21 feature films, TV/Cable programs, and books for adults and young people that will be honored at the 67th annual Christopher Awards, to be presented in New York City on May 19, 2016.

The Christopher Awards were created in 1949 to celebrate writers, producers, directors, authors and illustrators whose work “affirms the highest values of the human spirit.”

Tony Rossi, The Christophers’ Director of Communications, says, “The world around us can seem like a dark place in light of all the violence and hatred we hear about in the news. But the stories we honor with Christopher Awards remind us that we can shine a light that illuminates the darkness by choosing to practice faith, love, compassion, courage, teamwork, and determination.”

Dolly Parton, executive producer of the TV/Cable winner “Coat of Many Colors,” said, “I love the Christopher Award slogan,Better to light one candle than to curse the darkness.’ I personally believe that with all my heart. I think the movie, ‘Coat of Many Colors,’ a true story from my childhood, does throw a light on a lot of things like family, hope, love, kindness, understanding, and acceptance. It really spoke to the issue of bullying. I am very proud at how God works through me to shine a light, and to help heal a lot of hurt in a lot of people, and I am very proud of this award.”

“Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors” (NBC) brings the legendary entertainer’s classic song to life in a story that addresses working through grief, bullying, and the riches beyond money that are found in a loving home.

Thanksgiving Bromance

I Feels For You
Adam Levine & Blake Shelton

Adam Levine has taken his Bromance with Blake Shelton to a whole other level by calling him the "sexiest man alive."

People Magazine doesn't have a clue as to how hot Blake is according to Adam or they would put him on the cover of said issue (Adam himself is a former holder of the coveted title.)

The Voice coaches clearly have the feels for each other. Check out the photo above for proof.

Since today is Thanksgiving and all that jazz one of the themes of the Holiday is brotherly love.

Nothing quite says that like a Blake & Adam sandwich. Watch out Gwen Stefani you have competition!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Dolly Parton: Guess How Many Colors My Coat Is?

SNEAK PEEK OF "DOLLY PARTON'S COAT OF MANY COLORS" REVEALS HEART-RENDING STORY BEHIND ICON'S CHILDHOOD

"Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors" Airs December 10 at 8 p.m. CST / 9 p.m. ET on NBC

Tis' the season for Dolly Parton, you have a new coat  and you have a new coat, you all have new coats!

There won't be a dry eye around the television when "Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors" airs December 10 on NBC. Parton and NBC released a three-minute preview of the upcoming TV-movie based on the Country Music Hall of Famer's 1971 hit "Coat of Many Colors."

“My favorite song that I’ve ever written tells a true story from my childhood about a little coat that my mama made for me,” Parton said while introducing the clip. Parton’s mother initially sewed the the jacket as a blanket for her unborn baby, but she reworked the piece for her youngest daughter.

The upcoming primetime special, which showcases Jennifer Nettles in the role of Parton's mother, Avie, was inspired by a series of events Parton endured when she was 9 years old growing up in East Tennessee’s Great Smoky Mountains.

The family-oriented, faith-based movie profiles the loss of Parton’s unborn sibling, the family struggles to keep it together while grieving and the bullying the 9-year-old endured when other children criticized the quilted coated.

As one of the executive producers, Parton herself was very hands on in the making of the film – especially when it came to casting her family members.

"She told me, 'I loved your little eyes," says Lind of auditioning in front of Parton.

Jennifer Nettles plays Parton's mom, Avie Lee Parton, and Ricky Schroder plays her dad, Robert Lee Parton.

“Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors” is the first in a series of television movies developed by Parton that are expected to be released through 2016.

“Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors” airs Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. CST / 9 p.m. ET on NBC.

Tales From The Darkside: Andrew De Leon

I'm Here to Suck Your...
Andrew De Leon

Former America's Got Talent Season 7 Semi-Finalist Andrew De Leon Signs with Standby Records, Releasing 3-Song EP 'Dark Tales' on August 21; Featured on Billboard.com

I'm only happy when it gets dark...
Former American's Got Talent season 7 semi-finalist Andrew De Leon has signed with Standby Records and will release his upcoming 3-song EP "Dark Tales" digitally via iTunes, etc on 8/21. The release will serve as a teaser of what fans can expect from his upcoming LP, which will be released in 2016.
The Kyle., TX based singer-songwriter first caught the attention of the public after his eye-raising audition aired on the NBC juggernaut 2012. Clips of his audition have been viewed more than 42 million times.
Track Listing:
1. Dark Tales
2. Sheets
3. What I've Become
More about Andrew De Leon:
"My name is Andrew, and I'm going to sing." Overnight, Andrew De Leon, a 19-year-old makeup artist and theater student from Kyle, Texas, went from total obscurity to one of the most talked-about acts of the 2012 season of America's Got Talent. Previously, the shy teen in black leather and metal spikes had only sung at home for his own enjoyment. That night in Austin, he stood on stage and wowed the studio audience and judges with a powerful rendition of the soprano aria, "O Mio Babbino Caro".
Since then, clips of his audition have been viewed more than 42 million times on YouTube. "You've got an amazing voice, and YOU are an individual," said judge Sharon Osbourne. "You are great” said judge Howie Mandel, adding, “Marilyn Manson does an aria." An equally strong performance during the "wild card" show and a rapidly growing fan base propelled him into the semi-finals, where he received a standing ovation. Author Ann Rice tweeted: "Andrew De Leon — what a voice. And he did it all on his own, singing in his room."
Since then, Andrew has been hard at work developing his unique musical style, composing, recording, and performing across the U.S. In 2013, he released his first album, "Black Lights", an eclectic mix of pop, soft rock, goth opera, and classical tracks. His voice ranges from the silky tenor of "Counterfeit Lover" to the chilling operatic soprano of "Vampiro".
Andrew performed mostly as a solo act, but after the success of his first album, he has been joined by Hunter Fisher (lead guitar, composer) and John Paul Grasso (guitar), with other musicians coming in as Andrew's signature sound continues to develop. Andrew's first live performance with his band was at the 2014 Austin Vampire Ball, and they have been invited back for 2015. "I bled onstage," said Andrew of the special effects in his 2014 performance, where he demonstrated his horror-movie makeup talents. He hopes to incorporate his love of theater and film making into his future endeavors, adding a visual element to the lyrics he writes and performs.
Andrew's 2015 EP "Dark Tales" demonstrates his evolving style, which blends elements of alternative rock, metal, classical, goth, and symphonic rock. He describes the title track as heavy and dark. Other tracks range from sensual and intimate to deep sadness.
Andrew sums it up with this line from "Dark Tales":
"I warned you from the start it won't be the same,
now that I've let you in this monster can't be tamed."

Wiz Bomb!

We're Going to "Wiz"
Mary J. Blige & Queen Latifah

So NBC is reviving The W-I-Z

That's correct, The Wiz is being, revived, woot! I remember seeing the original film starring Diana Ross as Dorothy and Michael Jackson as the Scarecrow. Oh, and let's not forget the late great Lena Horne as Glinda the Good. Directed by the great Sidney Lumet.

A lot of critics were divided, but I was completely spellbound. Hey "Ease On Down The Road" people.

Well current casting news on the NBC production eases like this: Queen Latifah as The Wiz and Mary J. Blige as Evillene, the Wicked Witch of the West.

Personally I can't wait for this! I love myself some Latifah and Blige!

 Just say no to poppies!
