It's the last day of Pride Month, I'm gonna just leave this here with no explanation. I know I'll never explain again.
Carry on with your bad selves, Pride is a year long thang!

Unbothered Taylor Swift |
With all the utter BS surrounding the LGBTQIA community this Pride Month I feel Taylor Swift said it perfectly: You Need To Clam Down!!!
It seems to me Donald Trump having a Meg Ryan moment from When Harry Met Sally during a public speech at a podium is cause for some real concern, not people who are just trying to live their lives in peace.
Enjoy the last week of Pride Month Minions and remember Pride is an all year long thing!
Hit the video for You Need To Calm Down after the jump...

What would Pride Month be without a salute from an Army Of Joans? "Yes" her she is icon, ally and late great comedian Joan Rivers celebrating Pride in a meme as only she can.
This was posted on Instagram via her daughter Melissa and I thought it was a great tribute to not only Joan, but her gay fans and with it being the last Sunday of Pride Month and all, wave that flag in the air like you don't care Minions!!!

Viva Pride!!! |
If you're headed to Hollywood today for the Pride Parade have a great time Minions!!!
Margaret Cho can add one more honorific to her wildly long list of accomplishments, as she has been named this year’s Icon Grand Marshal of the LA Pride Parade. She is part of a trio of Grand Marshals that also includes the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation of Southern California as the Community Grand Marshal, and the late gay actor Leslie Jordan. who will be honored posthumously as the parade’s Legacy Grand Marshal.
“I’m thrilled and incredibly honored to be the Icon Grand Marshal,” said Cho. “We need this Pride more than ever. I have been attending Pride celebrations since 1978 and this time around the need to celebrate as well as unite is more urgent than it has ever been. Our love is greater than their hate.
Jana “Cricket” Jordan, Leslie’s sister, shared her joy over her brother being named Legacy Grand Marshal. “This honor further solidifies the positive impact he made in the world, but more importantly for the LGBTQ+ community. His spirit continues to bring love and light,” she shared.

Yesterday Pride was given the gift of becoming an acronym that's worthy of it's significance. Now there are two reasons to celebrate in June!!!

Looks like everyone is getting into the spirit of Pride Month, so to speak. Look who decided to join in, the notorious Ghostface from the Scream series.
Does this mean GF is gay? They could be at some point since the pronouns for Ghostface are He/She and They have been inhabited by many different types of people for various nefarious reasons.
Here They are hanging with the star of the latest Scream, 6 to be exact, Dermot Mulroney.
Thus let's Hump Day & Chill and welcome Pride Month's latest ally Ghostface...

Tribute Batman & Robin |
In honor of Pride and Bright Colors here is some neon art that is sure to please: Batman & Robin scaling the side of a building, in true, well, Batman & Robin style.
The things you randomly spot surfing the WWW - "Yes" there is still silly fun to be had on the Internet despite all the other BS you have to wade through.
Remember the old Batman TV series starring Adam West & Burt Ward? This neon rendition is obviously paying tribute to that. I really love coming across reruns of the show on stations that play old TV series. It is one of my favorites!
So here they are one of the most dynamic duos in history, not to mention gay icons.
You're Welcome.

"I Wish I Knew Hot To Quit You" Jake Gyllenhaal & Heat Ledger |
It's the last Hump Day & Chill of Pride Month Minions and we are gonna send it off with the iconic Brokeback Mountain starring the late Heath Ledger & Jake Gyllenhaal as gay cowboys, naturally.
Brokeback Mountain is regarded as a turning point for queer cinema and was critically acclaimed and was a huge box office success grossing $178 million worldwide on a $14 million dollar budget.
It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture and lost to the far inferior and undeserving Crash.
The story goes like this:
"In 1963, rodeo cowboy Jack Twist (Jake Gyllenhaal) and ranch hand Ennis Del Mar (Heath Ledger) are hired by rancher Joe Aguirre (Randy Quaid) as sheep herders in Wyoming. One night on Brokeback Mountain, Jack makes a drunken pass at Ennis that is eventually reciprocated. Though Ennis marries his longtime sweetheart, Alma (Michelle Williams), and Jack marries a fellow rodeo rider (Anne Hathaway), the two men keep up their tortured and sporadic affair over the course of 20 years."
So let's let out a big Hump Day & Chill ride em' cowboy for Brokeback Mountain shall we? Of course we shall!!!

Ally John Cena |
Hello Minions, in case it has escaped your attention it is still Pride Month, like for all of June, totally. Thus I thought we should celebrate it this Monday June 20, 2022 with an ally who happens to be some tasty eye candy.
"Yes" that's John Cena proudly waving a Pride Flag. For those of you not in the know Mr. Cena has a gay brother and has been a supporter of the LGBTQ community.
Not to mention, well, he's a a stud and a half and one eighth.
What a better way to kick off yet another week of Pride 2022 than with John and his kick ass support.
I ask you? Yeah, alright I know you aren't going to answer...

In keeping with Pride Month I present to you a divisive film from the annals of the history of queer cinema, Cruising. No matter what your take on it, it is a culturally relevant film...
A crime thriller set against the backdrop of the 1970s leather scene, Cruising is a polarizing film with a complicated legacy. When it came out in 1980, mainstream audiences and gay rights activists alike were scandalized—the former due to the graphic sexuality and the latter on the grounds that it portrayed the LGBTQ community in a bad light. (By contrast, director William Friedkin alleges that much of New York’s leather/S&M community actively supported the film and participated en masse as extras.) In recent years, though, the film—which features Al Pacino as a New York cop who goes undercover in the city’s S&M scene to investigate a serial killer targeting gay men—has been reevaluated and is now considered by many as a classic. Love it or hate it, Cruising is a touchstone of queer cinema history.

Charlize Theron |
Pride Month officially ends today, but that doesn't mean we should stop celebrating the most important element of it all - LOVE.
That's correct Minions today we are going to Hump Day & Chill to L-O-V-E and Charlize Theron is sharing the love loud and proud on her T-Shirt along with a rainbow colored tutu.
Charlize says Pride is an annual tradition for her family: “I try to always get my family to go and support, and these people live in my community and I love them, and so whenever I can support or be of support, of course I would be there,”
There you have it peeps love is love, now get out there and celebrate the last day of Pride with a good ole Hump Day & Chill by spreading that love and them some...

Kissing Strangers Lil Nas X |
OK, let's call this Pride Month post, prior to D-Day: important. How can we not acknowledge Lil Nas X's groundbreaking performance on the BET Awards of Call Me By Your Name? I ask you? As per usual I don't expect an answer. Moving on...
Lil Nas X IMHO is one of the greatest artists/performers of all time, it doesn't matter if he's gay, but this is Pride Month y'all. So yeah, there's that.
So let us worship at his altar, yeah that's extreme, but what the F#ck isn't these days?
Lil Nas X is of the moment and what the world needs right here, right now, and always moving forward. Never straight.
He puts the "ride" in Pride and then some.
Keep on keeping dude, you are amazing! We will always "Remember The Time" we first saw this!!!
Check out his provocative performance at the BET Awards below. Get your Nas on!

The Proud "B" Megan Fox |
Hello Minions, we are officially in the dog days of Pride Month. This is not an excuse to discontinue celebrating.
Thus today we commemorate the last Monday of Pride Month with a Foxy Lady. Ms. Megan Fox to be exact.
Megan recently took to Instagram and posted the above photo with the caption: Putting the B in #LGBTQIA for over two decades 🌈🌈 @moveon @intoactionus #pride
Yeah, in case you didn't know Megan Fox is openly bi-sexual.
She is also one cool person.

As Pride Month winds down the celebration continues, yay!!! Friday was the debut of Miley Cyrus' Stand By You on Peacock. Stand By You is a concert put on by Cyrus and friends to celebrate what else? Pride, naturally. I viewed this amazing show last night.
Miley as we all know is an ally who is also a member of the LGBTQ community.
While I do not review things in this space, and am not about to begin doing so right here, right now, I will go into this stating that I am a fan of Cyrus'. Her voice and expert showmanship are top notch, and let's just say this concert does not disappoint. Please refer to my out of the gate "amazing" comment if you have any questions about how I actually feel 😉
It's uplifting, moving and most of all first class entertainment. Thus as Pride Month comes to a close this is a must add to your list of things to do in celebration of it.
Tell Miley: Michael Shinafelt sent you!

In honor of Pride Month I wanted to share one of my favorite Classic Movies with you. Cat on a Hot Tin Roof starring Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor.
The movie is based on the brilliant play by Tennessee Williams who happens to be gay and filled his prolific works with gay subtext. While a watered down version of William's actual text, the film version of Cat still contains this subtext, it's simply not as direct as the play.
Another reason? Paul Newman, a classic Movie Star in every sense of the word. Basically a male specimen to behold and those baby blues of his...
Have I whetted your appetite? I'm sure I have. So let's saunter over to my friend Jay Jacobson's Classic Movie Blog where you will get all the 411 and behind the scenes dirt on this piece of Hollywood History.

We Are Family |
Happy Father's Day and all that jazz! Jazz hands only please, thank you...
Being that it is also Pride Month I thought maybe, perhaps, definitely we would celebrate not with one, but two Dads. Sounds good? I knew it would and it is a completely wizard idea!!!
Thus we have Cheyenne Jackson and his husband Jason Landau with their twins Willow and Ethan. These two little nuggets were born via surrogacy, and since one is a boy and the other is a girl it's easy to tell them apart, correct?
Love is love and family is family.
