Monday always gets a bad rap. It's the day after Sunday which is often referred to as Fun Day, and it's stuck with the adjective Manic. Thus today's Monday Motivation is to put some Fun Day magic into your Manic Monday.

How? I really don't know, only you hold the key to how that would work for you, but I believe in your power to do so. 

Thus I have provided you visual inspiration in a moment I like to call "When Luke Sykywalker met Elton John." That's right minions, this happened this past weekend at Comi-Con in San Diego, Mark Hamill aka Luke Skywalker and Taron Egerton aka Elton John both co-star in the offering The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance and were strutting their stuff to support it. So what are co-stars to do when sashaying down a catwalk? Shoot a selfie naturally.

How is this Motivation to put some Fun Day into your Monday you may inquire? How does this pairs enthusiasm and infectious smiles not spread some mirth your way? If it doesn't perhaps you should check to see if you still have a pulse.

So it's time to go for it and bend Monday like nobody else can. You've got this!

Comi-Con 2019: The Eternals

So what kind of monster would I be if I didn't acknowledge the one of the biggest, most influential entertainment spectacles on the planet Comi-Con in San Diego? What kind of monster would I be? I'm asking you? Come on you lovers of the fantastic, surely you can come up with something???

Lucky for you, you won't have to as I am giving a wink and a nod to it by posting this pic of Angelina Jolie swooping down on the convention Maleficent style to surprise all you comic loving monkeys.

Now Ms. Jolie I suppose was there in part to promote the upcoming sequel to Maleficent, but she had something even more devilish planned. "Yes" Angelina revealed she is soon to become part of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe for the uninitiated) - she will be portraying Thena in The Eternals.

Like me you are most likely scratching something on your being and asking "WTF is an Eternal?!" fear not her is the explanation straight from IMDb's mouth: 

"The saga of the Eternals, a race of immortal beings who lived on Earth and shaped its history and civilizations."

Alrighty then. The Eternals is set for release on November 6th 2020, seems like almost an eternity...Ha!

The Hillbilly Moon Explosion

To the moon, Hillbillies! The Hillbilly Moon Explosion are a European band who just came to the US to play their own unique version of Rockabilly to Americans. They've long held the US in their hearts. Way back in 2006 they traveled to San Diego to record an album 'All Grown Up' with producer Mark Neill (Black Keys). Since then they've become a viral phenomenon, with their 'My Love For Evermore' inspiring myriad tattoos, cover versions, 7" pressings and sixteen million Youtube views. That track was their first duet with Mark 'Sparky' Phillips, the wayward singer from Welsh psychobilly band Demented Are Go. His well-worn vocals contrasting with the sultry Emanuela Hutter made the pairing one that had to be repeated on their next two albums. Now they are to release a whole album of duets with Sparky, tellingly titled The Sparky Sessions. It includes "Jackson" and the "My Love For Evermore" vinyl and video hit. Seven new tracks are added to the previous Sparky collaborations. Tonight (April 10th) they embark on a 11-day west coast tour, concluding at the renowned 'Viva Las Vegas' Rockabilly Festival on April 20th. Sparky however will remain a mystery for Americans. He's barred from the country after multiple arrests and jail terms during earlier Demented Are Go US tours. Queen For A Day

Or perhaps it should be Queens For A Day??? So here is a photo from Comic-Con in San Diego, CA that caught my eye - why? Because it shows Nicole Kidman adjacent to Amber Heard signing Aquaman stuff.

Why did I find this eye catching? Because I had no idea until I spied this photo that Nicole Kidman was in Aquaman, that's why.

"Yes" I realize the movie isn't called Queen Atlanna (Kidman's character in the opus) but usually you hear a bit more noise when Nic is going to appear in something on the big screen.

Moving on she and her co-star Heard (who I was aware was in the movie) who plays Mera are all smiles and look like they are having a blast meeting and greeting fans of the below sea level hero.

Cool Daddy Alert!

Who's Your Daddy?

This image of Liev Schreiber and his 8 year old son Kai, dressed as Harley Quinn at Comi-Con in San Diego yesterday is presently an Internet sensation. Of course it's because Daddy Schreiber let his male offspring dress as a female comic book character. This of course automatically gives one new insight into who Liev is, one Cool Daddy!

Now of course there is a lot of people making statements about the photo saying how great it is that Liev is accepting of his gay son etc...the thing is at this point it is pretty much an assumption as I don't believe Kai has come out and there has been no statement issued to that effect.

While, it is a pretty safe conclusion to draw, it could also mean he simply likes strong female figures, or maybe he will end up being a cross dressing heterosexual. 

Sexuality is such a fluid thing especially in this day and age when people are allowed the freedom to be more open about it, so perhaps it is a little early to label an 8 year old boy especially one that the only thing the public really knows about him is that he has a Cool Daddy who let him dress as Harley Quinn.

Think about it, but not too much, OK?

It's Not A Bird, There Is A Plane, It's Chris Pratt!

Pssssssst! Did you hear? Chris Pratt has a new sci-fi film coming out co-starring Jennifer Lawrence called Passengers that opens December 21st, just in time for Christmas!

OK, now that's out of the way here is an image of Pratt going all Vogue and striking a pose next a jet at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego.

I love an attractive man with a who can make me laugh, and Pratt checks those two boxes off very nicely. 

There's really not much else to expand on here other than, this image is something to behold on many levels. So take what you want from it and enjoy your Tuesday!

Star Trek Realness

As the world at large knows this past weekend Comi-Con in San Diego, CA happened. It's the biggest event of it's type that brings fans and stars together and melds them into one big...I was going to say "happy family" but having been I'm going to go with cluster fuck.

On hand to promote Star Trek Beyond were Captain James T. Kirk and Sulu aka the actors known as Chris Pine and John Cho who served up some fanboy realness by attending the Starz party together.

Since the latest Trek movie was number one at the box office this past weekend (how surprising, not!) I bring you an image of the two U.S.S. Enterprise crew members to commemorate Comi-Con 2016.
