Get Into The Groove

I Am The Ringleader I Call The Shots
Britney Spears

The time has come to say "Get off your dead ass and do something" - yep I took some much needed down time during the New Year celebration now it's time to "Get Into The Groove" again.

Meaning hitting spin this AM, weighing in and crossing my fingers that I still have only gained three pounds of Holiday weight as I did treat myself to In-N-Out Burger yesterday, hey it was New Year's Day what else was I supposed to do?!

For some reason while browsing the WWW upon waking today, January 2nd of 2018 this image of Britney Spears performing in Vegas on NYE caught my fancy and is fueling me with inspiration. No, I am not really a fan of hers, but, I do like a handful of songs she has done here and there. From the looks of the stage she is performing one of my faves of hers Circus

"All the eyes on me in the center of the ring, Just like a circus
When I crack that whip, everybody goin' trip, Just like a circus"

This sums it up for me today to perfection, on with the show! Have a good one peeps!

Hello Dalai!

Two Legends at One Time
Being a huge fan of rock legend Patti Smith I could not pass up posting this photo of her and the Dalai Lama on stage at the Glastonbury Festival in England.

It's rare to see Patti in the news so this was cause for celebration!

All hail the high priestess of punk!

Sell Naama Kates Your "Souled"

Last night I attended the record release party for Singer/Songwriter Naama Kates third outing Souled.

It was an awesome evening of fun, friends and most of all music by Naama and her band on a way cool outdoor stage under the stars at Mount Cyanide.

Naama and I have known each other since her amazing debut CD The Unexamined Life.  Upon hearing it and seeing her perform I instantly became a fan.

Souled to me is her best effort to date, Naama has really hit her stride as an artist. Last night she really brought it as a performer as well, I felt like I was watching a star declaring themselves. With visuals that perfectly complimented the show, courtesy of Michael Allen, and a band that was top notch. Not to mention great music supervision by Naama's producer Cyrus Melchor, it was a complete feast for the ears and eyes.

Souled is out now. If you haven't done so, c'mon, go ahead and sell your "Souled" to Naama Kates. I promise you will enjoy the experience.

Grace Valerie Live @ The House Of Blues

Go Grace!
Singer/Songwriter Grace Valerie took to the stage at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip last night and I was there.

The singer of the Randy Jackson (yes, that Randy Jackson) produced hit single "When The Lights Go Down" and her current hit, and my personal favorite of hers "Not For Love" produced by the prolific Busbee sang both of these songs and others with a live band and she rocked it!

So enough of my word vomit and let's see the photos I took of the evening shall we????

James Durbin's Video For "Parachute" Pops

"I have Tourettes and Aspergers, but Tourrets and Aspergers don't have me. You know, I'm doing what I can to suppress it and I don't let it take advantage of me. It's not who I am. You know, I'm James Durbin. Like I said in the beginning, I am here to show America who I am, and it is what it is" James Durbin

James Durbin has been proving the above statement ever since he was a finalist on "American Idol."

With his upcoming sophomore CD "Celebrate" dropping April 8th - and his video for his single "Parachute" out now, there is no stopping "The Durbin."

Hope you tuned in last night to watch James take the stage and perform "Parachute" on "Idol."

Enjoy the video below...!
