Save The Date

The countdown that had begun months ago now draws even closer. "Yes" two weeks from today the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and one Meghan Markle is happening.

With countless viewing parties at various entities in every state & city, as well as stay at home get together's in place this is going to be one of the biggest events of 2018.

Am I going to watch? Unless I have a commitment that prevents me from doing so, computer says "Yes."

These two can't stop the feeling of the power of love when you see them together. Which in this day and age is something rare and beautiful to witness.

Yeah, sometimes I can crossover into the sappy zone.

Forget your troubles come on get sappy...

Royals

Intriguing
Meghan Markle
"And we'll never be royals, It don't run in our blood, That kind of lux just ain't for us
We crave a different kind of buzz" - Lorde

While I have never really been into the whole Royal Family thing with the exception of Princess Diana, I do have a passing interest in Meghan Markle.

The thing I think that intrigues me about her is, she is an actress dating Prince Harry. Actresses' aren't the usual cup of tea for Royals, that's for sure.

She is also racially mixed. Which is way atypical for a Royal to be courting. She said this about it: "My dad is Caucasian and my mom is African-American ... I have come to embrace [this and] say who I am, to share where I'm from, to voice my pride in being a strong, confident, mixed-race woman."

You go Meghan! The photo of her was taken recently at the Invictus Games in Toronto where not coincidentally Prince Harry was attending too.

I wish you two the best! Happy last Monday of September!!!

Prince Harry, Rocker With A Cause

Wild About Prince Harry
"And we'll never be royals (royals). It don't run in our blood"  - Lorde "Royals"

Honestly I have never really been a follower of the Royal Family, it has never been my thing. That being stated the major exception to that rule was of course Princess Diana. She was the only princess that really crossed over and made a huge impact on the world around her.

Kudos to Prince Harry for keeping his mother's legacy of philanthropy and giving alive. Last night the Prince belted out a tune with the band Coldplay in the backyard of Kensington Palace who was headlining a benefit for his Sentebale Charity which he aided in establishing in 2006

The proceeds went to the people of Lesotho in South Africa battling HIV and AIDS.
"Sentebale, meaning forget me not in Sesotho, has helped tens of thousands of children in just over a decade." The Prince stated.

He continued: "What we know is that HIV is a virus that thrives off silence and feeds on stigma. We must follow the example of the young people of Lesotho, and meet one of the great challenges of our generation with optimism, energy, and openness. That's what tonight is all about. When people come together for a purpose we can achieve extraordinary things."
