The Elephant In The Room

Open Wide
Anderson Cooper & Friend
Woke up this morning got myself a bowl of blueberries and some Tejava Tea and started feeling perky. Caffeine and antioxidants will do that to ya.

Perky generally makes me silly, and I guess that makes this a Silly Saturday.

Not that this image of Anderson Cooper and an elephant is necessarily silly, but it certainly has the power to be. It also can evoke a number of other emotions, but most importantly none of them would be negative. There is a lot of that going around these days, I can't imagine why...Not!!!

Well I am onto my next piece of fruit this ayem a banana and then off to spin.

Have a whoop ass Saturday and get silly with it!

Hard to believe but this will be Cyndi's first time at this rodeo, Yee Haw!!!

Grammy®, Emmy® and Tony®-winning music icon Cyndi Lauper is taking her country DETOUR to landmark television music series “Austin City Limits” (ACL) this Saturday, January 14 on PBS (check local listings). Lauper debuts on the ACL stage in an entertaining hour of classic hit songs and the stories behind them.

Lauper recently wrapped up a headlining nationwide tour in 2016 after reigning in a new legion of fans with her new country-tinged album DETOUR, which features a collection of country covers from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s (track listing below). DETOUR, which debuted No. 4 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, features duets with several special guests, including country music royalty: Emmylou Harris (on the title track), Willie Nelson (“Night Life,” a song he wrote over 50 years ago), Vince Gill (Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty’s “You’re The Reason Our Kids Are Ugly”) and Alison Krauss (Dolly Parton’s “Hard Candy Christmas.”) Jewel also makes an appearance on DETOUR, showcasing her prodigious yodeling skills on “I Want To Be A Cowboy’s Sweetheart,” which was the first country song by a woman to sell one million copies.

Providing viewers with a front-row seat to the best in music performance for over 40 years, Austin City Limits continues the legendary run showcasing more icons, innovators and highly-anticipated debuts. The series airs weekly on PBS stations nationwide (check local listings) and full episodes are made available online for a limited time at pbs.org/austincitylimits immediately following the initial broadcast.

Michael's Musings

I'm Not Bad, I'm Just Photographed That Way
Michael Shinafelt
So 2017 is picking up a little steam this week, and IMHOP not in a good way.

It's that time of the week again, yep, I have a weekly, for my take on everything. Here we go, here we go now, get busy!

My best advice to everyone this year? Be your own fucking star!!!!

Honestly I really don't care about Donald Trump's fixation on golden showers, so what? What bothers me is him being a sociopath.

In case you give a crack, I got a bicycle this week, Yay me!

Bicycle, Bicycle!
There will always be overrated rim job queens

My producer friend Shani Bayne accidentally included me on her production group text conversation. Girl I now know when you are sleeping and I know when you are awake.

Maresa Wickham you rock! Literally. Like me!

Good things happen when you smile, or you are naked

Quote of the Week: "I love pussy, but hate this dress" Margaret Cho commenting on Carrie Underwood's vagina dress @ The Golden Globe's on Fashion Police

Fox News said Casey Anthony won Best Actor for Manchester By The Sea at The Golden Globe's. Ummmmm, it was Casey Affleck. But Casey Anthony wins best liar who was set free for killing her baby. Her and OJ Simpson have a lot they could talk about.

Have you ever seen Kellyanne Conway and the Gollum in the same place? Just Saying.

So long, farewell, I'm going to really miss Barack & Michelle Obama. Your legacy will never be forgotten for the correct reasons.

Get "Snatched" Wednesday

Getting In "Formation"
Amy Schumer & Goldie Hawn
While I was a little taken back by Goldie Hawn's appearance on the Golden Globe's this past weekend, and to clarify by "appearance" I don't mean the fact that she was on the show. I know why she was on with one Ms. Amy Schumer, they have a movie coming out May 12th called Snatched and I can't wait!

Both women are brilliant on screen comedians and even if the movie falls short of their talents I am willing to bet their chemistry and considerable skills will make it worth the watch.

This is one of those rare dream teams that hit the silver screen that compels you to buy a ticket just to see them werk!

As you may or may not recall the two first teamed up for a brilliant parody of Beyonce's song Formation.

Check out the funny as fuck trailer below and watch your ass!

Just Because, Jake Gyllenhaal

Dinner Is Served
Jake Gyllenhaal
As we are all getting our 2017 sea legs and aren't quite in the groove yet I thought to myself "Self why not run some man candy today" - while surfing the WWW I spied this pic of Jake Gyllenhaal in St. Barts looking edible.

That's how I roll, and so I am giving you Titty Tuesday realness, of the male variety.

It makes me want to dive in the pool, if you catch my drift....

Have a good one minions!

Red Carpet Ready, Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Red Carpet Ready? You Bet!
Julia Louis-Dreyfus
Nothing, I mean nothing will top Meryl Streep's Golden Globe speech last night. I thought about running it today since it was in a word, amazing, but of course by now everyone has posted and re-posted it so I decided to go another direction.

Here without further hyperbole is my favorite Instagram post about the Golden Globes...Julia Louis-Dreyfus! Although she did not win this year for her HBO show Veep she's a winner in my book for this photo which she captioned:

"About to hit the red carpet & feeling confident. @goldenglobes@veephbo @karenkawahara#goldenglobes"

Confident, obviously. Who other than JLD would have the chutzpah to post an image as funny/hot/cool as this I ask you???
