Remembering A Legend

Val Kilmer

It was sad to hear of the passing of Val Kilmer he was a big part of my movie going experience. One of the best actors of my generation to be precise.

While he had a long and storied career with many roles that I loved him in.  But he will always be Jim Morrison in the Doors film to me.

Val completely inhabited Morrison and brought the same electrical charge to the stage that Jim did when he recreated him in concert.

I was blown away!

I hope you and the Lizard King are making beautiful music in the afterlife.

RIP

"And the sky was made of amethyst, And all the stars were just like little fish, You should learn when to go, You should learn how to say no" - Violet, Hole

What a week we've had and then we'll have another, such is life. Let's fight till six and then have dinner...who's with me?!

"Yes" I am purposely sounding like Lewis Carroll's book Alice in Wonderland. Call it Descent Into Madness with Michael ready? Time to descend Minions!!!

My toxic trait is that if they opened Jurassic Park I would still totally go

" As a little girl growing up in Chippewa Falls, I never could have imagined that I'd be taking on the richest man in the world for justice in Wisconsin, and we won!" - Susan Crawford

FYI - a loan at the bank can take 30 years to pay off. If you rob a bank, you're out in 10 years. Follow me for more financial advice Ha ha ha ha!!!

"This is not a left or right moment. It is a right or wrong moment" - Senator Cory Booker

The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Reunion Part I was pretty intense. Garcelle is already cursing out her fellow castmates and there are two more parts to go, discuss

Guess what? My favorite TV Show Law & Order: SVU has been picked up for a history making 27th season, YES!!!

Speaking of which Happy Belated Birthday to Christopher Meloni, who knew 64 could look so Zaddy!

Filet-O-Fish Fridays are back at McDonald's "Yes" I did partake, that's all

Woman Crush of the Week - Saw the Director's Cut of one of my favorite films Donnie Darko on Tubi. It also happens to contain my favorite Drew Barrymore performance as Karen Pomeroy, Donnie's English teacher. She's simply amazing!

The Wizard of Oz is 86 years old! If Dorothy were to encounter men with no brains, heart or courage, she wouldn't be in Oz. She'd be in D.C.

It's April, Fools! The more you know...

Raw cream pies are back at McDonald's too. Make of this what you will.

Pro-Tip: Everything will kill you, make sure you choose something you enjoy

You will never speak to anyone more than you speak to yourself in your head. Be kind to yourself always.

Hump Day & Chill

Madonna
1985/2025

"Get into the groove

Boy, you've got to prove
Your love to me, yeah" - Into The Groove, Madonna

Did you know "Desperately Seeking Susan" is 40 years old?! Like OMG! That's correct Minions and to celebrate it Madonna wore the iconic jacquard jacket from the 1985 movie to a fashion show benefit in New York City, celebrating the film's 40th anniversary and raising money for the Trans Justice Funding Project.

Thus we are giving a Hump Day & Chill shout out to the Queen Of Pop Today.

I remember seeing "Desperately Seeking Susan" while I was a college Freshman in Portland, OR. Oh, and "Yes" I was and still am a Madonna fan.

Cheers to the one and only Madonna long may she Hump Day & Chill!!!

The Blue Lagoon

The Blue Lagoon
Christopher Atkins & Brooke Shields

Hello April! Here's a still from the 1980 film The Blue Lagoon to celebrate.

APRIL FOOLS!!!

It's actually a mash-up of Creature From The Black Lagoon and The Blue Lagoon. "Yes" the creature has gotten lost and is hanging in the wrong lagoon, his bad.

With every being basically a lie or deception of some sort daily, be careful what you fall for today because the BS count I'm sure will tick higher than usual. If that's even remotely possible...

Current Mood

Heeeere's Frank!
Jake Gyllenhaal & Friend

I don't know about you Minions but my Current Mood is: "Apprehensive" with a side of don't worry be happy.

Much like Donnie Darko (Jake Gyllenhaal) and his ax with Frank The Rabbit looming in the background.

What's that? You get the apprehensive part, where does the side of happy enter into the equation? The ax is the happy part, it will help you overcome and defeat any obstacle in your way.

Of course I am not saying one should carry an ax literally. It's a metaphor.

Happy Metaphor Monday Minions!

"White Lotus" Sunday

Leslie Bibb & Carrie Coon

I couldn't agree with you more Laurie...

Well I don't know about you Minions but I can't wait until 6pm Pacific Standard Time to come around to see what happens next on The White Lotus!

There are only two episodes left and all bets are off on exactly how it will all end up.

Everyone has their theories about what might happen and all of them are valid until we actually find out.

Here are two of mine:

1) Sritala (Patravadi Mejudhon) is Rick's (Walton Goggin's) "deceased" Father

2) Greg/Gary (John Gries) plans for Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) are not to murder her, but fund her spa

There you have it! I could be wrong, or...as for everyone else I have no hunch what will possibly go down with them.

Enjoy the show!!!

"Baby Teeth"

Pip Lewis

Photo: Amy Tran

Pip Lewis is a British singer-songwriter based in San Diego, California. At 22, she brings over a decade of musical experience to her craft. Her forthcoming album, Growing Pains, weaves introspective lyrics with ethereal soundscapes, capturing the raw emotions of change and self-discovery. Her latest single, "Baby Teeth," now streaming alongside a new music video, explores the bittersweet nature of loss and the struggle between holding on and letting go.

Pip says, “The imagery in 'Baby Teeth' is all about things that are once important but become neglected over time: a sweet melting and hardening in a car door, a dog-eared book never finished, a takeaway receipt kept for no real reason."

She adds, "The chorus, with the tooth metaphor, is especially striking. Losing a baby tooth is inevitable, a sign of growing up, but there’s also a choice in how it happens—rip it out quickly or let it fall out slowly. It plays with the idea that the narrator knows that they’re being left behind but is unsure if they should just end it or let the loss drag on. It explores the question as to whether it is more uncomfortable to let go willingly or to suffer until the bitter end?”
