Life is a balance and while I do think one should pay attention to what's happening around them. I also believe there is much to be thankful for and one should keep yourself centered and calm.
My personal go-to activities are meditation and yoga. Also I tend to look at the smallest of things with a sense of appreciation and awe. Like nature for example.

I had bunion surgery this past Tuesday and it is quite the painful procedure. While the recouperation period takes a few months, the pain itself does subside at some point during the process.
Presently I am at the "There are not enough pain killers in the world" phase.
Hence my Current Mood is Neely O'Hara (Patty Duke) in Valley of the Dolls.
For the uninitiated Valley of the Dolls is the film version of Jacqueline Susann's best-selling novel chronicling the rise and fall of three young women in show business.
The "Dolls" of the title are a euphemism for the various prescription pills, including amphetamines and barbiturates.
