Monday Motivation
Here's Lili Reinhart giving her description of her current movie Forbidden Fruits the best way she can.
This is the plot synopsis:
"Free Eden employee Apple leads a secret witch cult with coworkers Cherry and Fig. New hire Pumpkin questions their sisterhood, forcing them to confront inner darkness or meet violent ends."
Reinhart plays Apple, naturally so she should know just how c#nty the witches can get.

Rick at 76, was quite in awe of the shape Dick is in at 99. Which lead Rick to state: "Thought I was doing well at 76"
Well Rick you are doing great at 76! Trust me I've seen him up close and personal in concert. PS I didn't mind.
As for Mr. Van Dyke, I want to live to be 99 only if I can be in the mental and physical shape he is.
I wonder if there is a portrait in Dick Van Dykes attic?

Monday Motivation
I have chosen my peace at this stage in my life and trust me when I state that I have visited chaos a few times on this journey. Doing so has finally put the nail in the coffin of the Big "C" because while my peace is a lot of work, the end result of having it is worth it to infinity and beyond.
This nugget of wisdom came to me via my friend Robert Hensley's Nature Reconnect which I follow on Instagram and Facebook. I love the daily affirmations he posts!
Here is his mission statement:
I am a dedicated Personal Rewilding Coach and Meditation Leader, assisting others in their journey to acknowledge, accept, and honor their innate relationship to Nature through very specific meditative and reflective practices for the welfare of their mental and physical health.
Why? Because I believe in a world where our species proves its value to the universe through stewardship, caring for and protecting the world to which we owe our lives. Now before you get all sensitive on me this isn't an arrogance thing, it's about embracing all the good things you get from persevering.
Those things that you have been working on that have finally materialize in your life. Thus they can be anything from something material to personal growth.
So off you go into the world today with this as your call to action.
"Yes" I too am changing my life up this week and starting some new goals. My plan is to begin attending yoga at Hollywood Forever Cemetery twice week starting today.

For what it's worth it's also my favorite song my spin instructor uses. I get pumped when it comes on and move my booty post haste fer sure.

I agree with this quote from Boy George 100% thus it is today's Monday Motivation. The beauty of what he says is that you can apply it to other things as well by simply changing the word "sexuality" out for other things such as "Good Person."
Of course the lead in would need some adjustments as well so then it would read: "If you're so secure with yourself you don't need to say you're a good person" and so on...
See? It's applicable to all forms of narcissistic behavior...
Your Monday Motivation assignment is to insert the "thing" in your life into Boy George's quote. It will cathartic, not to mention fun!!!

Ever so often one has to remind one's self they are not the darkness and go into the light.
After the rather shall we say surreal week I had, it's jusr what I need as a mental reset.
Thus our Monday Motivation is you are the light not the darkness. It all depends on you, you have the control to make a choice on which kind of energy you bring into your life.
Believe me, I have been through some crazy negative stuff of late (trust me you don't want to know) and through it all I refused to surrender my light to bad mojo that was trying to bring me to it's level of disgusting behavior and attitude.
Thank you to my resilence and strength.
Let us move forward instead of sideways and go out there and light up the world around us. Because no one has time for that other Sh!t!

Our Monday Motivation today is this piece of wisdom from Susan Sontag.
It hits the nail on the proverbial head and goes deep. One should always strive to lead their life as they wish as much as they possibly can.
Also getting older is a privilege not many people are afforded. So treat it like a gift. My fifties have been the best years of my life and I am grateful that I have been allowed to experience this wonderful time.
Remember Minions tomorrow is guaranteed to no one.
Keep on dreaming and living.

Don't be beholden to anyone else's thoughts about who you are Minions. Wake up every day knowing yourself and what you are about and you will never be anyone's prisoner.
Trust me it's the only way to go through life happy. I used to care what people thought of me way too much and every since I haven't (for many years now) I have been happy. It's the best decision ne can make for your own self care.

No truer words were spoken and that my Minions is our collective Monday Motivation. I'm also going to give you an example of it with our poster girl animal activist and actress Tippi Hedren.
On January 19th 2024 our Ms Hedren turned 94 years young. "Yes" this is a photo of her at said Birthday Party.
Tippi is a Hollywood Legend having appeared in two Alfred Hitchcock films The Birds and Marnie respectively.
She is also the founder of Shambala Preserve, a wild animal sanctuary in Acton, CA.
"Yes" indeed Tippi Hedren has lead an incredible long life and looks beautiful at 94. I'm guessing she takes care of her personal sanctuary, her body.
