Bear World TV

The Hosts
Bear World TV

Bear World Magazine, the world’s leading lifestyle publication for the global bear community, is proud to announce the launch of Bear World TV: a vibrant new video platform delivering weekly doses of news, entertainment, and culture created specifically for and by the bear community, streaming now on Bear World Magazine’s website, YouTube channel, and social media platforms.

The channel features five dynamic hosts - Marquis The Honey Bear, Joe Martone, Alexander Rodriguez, Ravi Roth, and Hunter Harden - each presenting weekly two-minute segments that spotlight diverse and entertaining facets of bear life, including nightlife, travel, pop culture, humor, and community events.

Produced by Bear World Magazine Co-Founders Richard Jones and Robin Gray, Bear World TV expands the brand’s mission to celebrate body positivity, inclusivity, and queer joy through engaging, community-driven content. “Bear World Magazine turns 13 this September, and we wanted to do something special to mark the milestone,” says Jones. “Creating a broadcast platform will not only entertain but also amplify the many voices within our vibrant, diverse community.”

Each segment offers a distinct perspective, delivering a rich mix of fun, flair, and authenticity; from comedic takes on niche bear culture to curated party picks and globe-trotting travel adventures.

“Our representation in media is evolving, and so should our journalism,” says Alexander Rodriguez, a seasoned entertainment journalist and queer pop culture expert who helms the Alexander on Screen segment. “Bear World TV viewers can expect smarter questions and deeper conversations with queer icons and unsung heroes alike.”

“We’re tackling gay and bear culture one ridiculous topic at a time,” adds comedian Marquis The Honey Bear, host of Marquis is Barely Informed. He describes his content as “unseriously serious fun.”

Hunter Harden, whose nightlife-focused segment Hunter’s Hot Nights is sponsored by Gun Oil Personal Lubricant, brings the party to the screen. “It’s all about vibe,” he says. “A party with hugs, a great DJ, body positivity, and a little glitter? That’s what I call a hot night.”

For national happenings, the What to Know with Joe segment keeps viewers in the loop. “I spotlight the movers and shakers, and the everyday legends who have carried the bear world on their hairy shoulders,” says Joe Martone, whose event-focused updates are sponsored by DeviousSaint.com. “If it makes you say, ‘aw damn, I wish I’d gone to that,’—I’ve got you covered.”

For travel enthusiasts, the Ravi Round the World segment is a weekly escape. “Travel is more than a vacation.  It’s visibility, connection, and celebration,” says LGBTQ+ travel expert Ravi Roth, whose wanderlust-driven content is sponsored by Island House Key West. “We’re making the world your bear playground.”

Publicity photos for Bear World TV were shot by Nathan Noyes at the Creator Lounge at W Hollywood, a space designed to inspire and energize creatives. With its art deco design and nods to Hollywood’s rich cultural legacy, the location provided a fitting backdrop for the bold new channel.

With fresh episodes dropping weekly, Bear World TV is poised to become the go-to digital destination for bears worldwide, blending humor, heart, and unapologetic celebration.

“Bear World TV will be a call to celebrate who we are: loudly, proudly, and together,” says Jones.

Getting Random With Will Bethencourt

Will, or Willy?
Will Bethencourt
Actor/Producer Will Bethencourt is making his Vegas debut this weekend in Puppetry of the Penis at Harry Mohney's Erotic Heritage Museum. You read that correctly, Will is going to delve into the justified and ancient art of penis origami for your viewing pleasure. Sharing is caring after all.

Lucky us, Will is not shy about getting naked for an audience. I first saw him in a production of Richard Greenberg's Pulitzer Prize winning play, the baseball drama, Take Me Out. He gave a really good performance as Kippy Sunderstrom, and, yes he was naked too.

Will also served as Producer on the upcoming movie The Happys starring Janeane Garofalo. I asked Mr. Bethencourt to give a response to ten random things I threw at him on the weekend of his full frontal Vegas extravaganza! Here they are, and here are his responses!
Let's Get Animal
Photo: Spiffy Cliffy Photography
1) Vegas: Is Cirque du Soleil ever gonna do a Madonna tribute show?
2) Flexible: Makes it easier.
3) Bears: Yes, please.
4) Flying Purple People Eaters: They just wanna rock! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
5) David Bowie: "Life is a pop of the cherry when you're a boy..."
6) Penis: ...rules the world.
7) Lasso: Apso
8) Puppetry: Remember when Pinocchio goes to Pleasure Island? Where can I buy a ticket?
9) Length: About 50 minutes?
10) Full Frontal Nudity: Instead of guns and religion = Utopia!

Thanks for playing with me Will and break a...ummmmmmm, best wishes this weekend!

Travelin' Thru With Tom Goss

Bear Lover
Tom Goss
For those you who may not be familiar Tom Goss is a singer-songwriter and actor. He is often compared to acoustic pop-peers such as Jason Mraz and Jack Johnson

The Out performer and Bear lover, has been travelin' thru the states promoting his latest album Wait and it's single Breath and Sound featuring Matt Alber

I caught up with Tom after his performance at GNI (Gay Naturists International) en route to his home town, Washington DC.

Time to check in with the one and only Tom Goss!

MS: So I have been tracking your movements lately, you just finished performing at GNI.

TG: I did, yeah!

MS: That was for their anniversary.

TG: I believe the 30th.

MS: Cool! What made you take that gig?

TG: Well, I have played events like that before and I've always had a really good time! It was a great experience, I find that the people there are very vulnerable, open and meeting each other where they're at. I find that really refreshing I had a really good time!

MS: Did you perform nude?

TG: No, I don't perform nude. I'm not opposed to being nude, I like being nude, I don't necessarily mind being nude in public, given the right circumstances. As a performer it feels strange to me, so yeah, I didn't perform nude. (laughs)

MS: Obviously you are comfortable with it. I saw your striptease for World Of Wonder.
Tom's World of Wonder Striptease

TG: That's kind of poking fun at the whole thing. You know what I mean? That's what everybody wants. But I believe I generate content as well.

MS: You are headed to Washington DC right now. That's home for you, correct?

TG: I lived ten years in DC, now I live in Los Angeles, CA - I moved out there about eighteen months ago. So I am going to old haunts, stuff like that, ya know.

MS: Your latest Breath and Sound is really great. Hit me with some inspiration for that.

TG: It's really a song about meeting somebody. Connecting with them spiritually, emotionally and physically for the first time. I'm very lucky. I have been married for ten years, and Mike's the first person I've ever really dated. I just fell into it and I got lucky. But I know a lot of people who date a lot of people and it just doesn't click. There is such a bravery in people putting themselves out there. It's hard to be vulnerable and it's hard to just let somebody see you for who you are. The song is really about that.

MS: Love the video and the dancers!

TG: That's a video I want to do for two years now. I have always been mesmerized and inspired by dancers. With this song I thought it could work. I have been talking to directors and dance companies since the end of 2013. It wasn't quite fitting, I almost abandoned the idea until I talked to my friend Michael Serrato, who was the director of a dance studio. I told him what I was thinking, with his help I turned a thirty thousand dollar video into a seven thousand dollar video, which was something that I could swing. I really have my fans and my listeners to thank for that as well as they helped fund it through Kickstarter. I'm so very, very lucky.

MS: I thought the video and song, were poignant, beautiful and hot. It hit all the right notes.

                                                         Breath and Sound

TG: Yeah, I think the video did something similar to what Bears did. People who watched that video have said: Wow, I've never been attracted to a Bear before. It kind of turns the table, for me I find all of those couples dancing extremely erotic. The women together, the man and woman with each other, the men together...you see it from everyone's perspective and I think it helps us understand humanity a whole lot more.

MS: It's incredibly hot!

TG: There were so many moments during shooting we were just like: Cut! Cut! We can't show that! (laughs)

MS: How did Matt Alber get involved?

TG: So I was touring with Matt in the Fall of 2013. We were playing in the Midwest and singing some songs together. I was singing this song and knew I wanted to do it a little differently, so I started testing the song and asked him if he wanted to sing it with me. We worked out the kinks so when I went to record I asked if he wanted to do it with me, he did and it came out great! Everyone involved with the song gave themselves over to it, instead of doing it to be glamorous.

MS: On a final note, tell everyone about your latest album Wait.

TG: Wait is a really strong album. I'm really excited about it. I spent a lot of time writing it, about a year and a half. For a while I was writing a record a year so I gave myself permission to take some time on this one. For the record I wrote seventy four songs. This gave me the opportunity to really whittle them down. Writing so many songs, thirteen of them have to be strong. Wait has a real fun vibe that is rooted in power pop. It's a super fun record!

Snuggle Up With Ryan Reynolds

Come Hither It's Ryan Reynolds
Ryan Reynolds wants to seduce you as Deadpool.
He shared a photo of himself dressed as the anti-hero he originally played in X-Men Origins: Wolverine on Twitter this past Friday.
The image is a parody of the 1972 nude centerfold Burt Reynolds did for Cosmopolitan.
Along with the photo he also Tweeted "No bears were harmed in the making of this photo, though many bears were likely turned on."
Cheeky.
The Deadpool movie is out February 12, 2016.

Tom Goss Loves "Bears"

Tom Goss has been quite prolific of late with his music and videos. Starting with showing his clock in the innovative video for his too cool for school song "Make Believe" he then followed that up with a cover and a very hip, minimalist video of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis's "Can't Hold Us".

Today, yes today, is the official release of Tom's latest video which is bound to be equally as big, literally and figuratively as it predecessors "Bears". Yes, it is an ode to all things Bear and why they are Hot! Tom himself is a big bear lover and has a Husbear all his own, Michael Briggs.

To celebrate the release of the video Tom gave me five things he likes about these furry dudes...Hey Tom go for it!

Tom Goss

Tom:

2. Beards
3. Burliness
4. Buoyant Exuberance

Without further adieu, here is the hot new video for Tom's song "Bears" Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr...!

On Set: "Where The Bears Are" Season 2

Lions & Tigers...nope, only "Bears" the WTBA Gang
That's right, those wild and crazy Bears: Nelson, Wood & Reggie are coming back for round two! Along for the ride as well are Hot Toddy & Detective Winters with some spanking new faces added, this season of  WTBA is wrapped in a cloak of secrecy....

As a fan of the first season and a blogger/journalist I was invited down to the evening shoot at The Faultline Bar in Los Angeles, CA to check it out, a shout out to Joe Dietl, Ben Zook & Rick Copp - thanks for having me!

While I can not give anything away that I witnessed being filmed I can tell you two things 1) You will see me in this years season and 2) Things are definitely getting harrier. Was that vague enough for you?

So instead of continuing to tease you with what I'm not allowed to say how about I show you some behind the scenes photos I took? Yeah, that works...Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

What could be possibly be happening in the The Bathroom?

Caged Bears

"Action" Joe Dietl, Bear Director

Hot Toddy Anyone?
