While exiting Hollywood Forever Cemetery post yoga yesterday I happened upon the final resting place of filmmaker David Lynch with many items of tribute scattered around his marker.
Being a Lynch fan I just had to take a picture and share it with all of you.
Thus today we are going to Hump Day & Chill to the greatness of David Lynch.
Wild At Heart is my favorite film by him, so I used my favorite quote from it at the top of this Hump Day & Chill post, naturally.
I'm sure seeing him at peace memories of his genius come flooding back to many of you.
Hump Day & Chill and reminisce about them...

Portland-based musician and producer JJ Braves returns this summer with his powerful new single, “Fix for a Broken Heart,” dropping July 25. The track—an emotionally-charged anthem of resilience—arrives ahead of his forthcoming full-length album and is the first taste of what’s shaping up to be his most fully realized release yet.
JJ’s summer tour begins this week in Portland, OR and stretches across the West Coast through early August.
JJ Braves is the throwback rock project of LA-based artist Joshua Keever, blending synth-driven hooks, classic rock theatrics, and deeply personal lyricism. Drawing inspiration from the power-chord heroics of Queen and Weezer, the slick pop swagger of Huey Lewis & the News, and even the animated bravado of the Transformers theme song, JJ Braves channels those influences into anthemic, emotionally resonant songs. His debut EP, The Circle Complete, introduced audiences to his signature stacked guitar tones and high-energy synth arrangements—designed to uplift listeners of all ages.
Writing music from a young age as a coping mechanism for emotional isolation, Keever infuses the JJ Braves project with purpose: to empower misfits, outsiders, and anyone who’s ever struggled to feel like they belong. “Fix for a Broken Heart” carries that same message—pushing through pain and finding strength when everything seems broken.

Here's your Monday Motivation for July 28th 2025. We all tend to cling to the familiar rather than take the leap into uncharted territory. Hey, it's easier like eating comfort food.
I have chosen my peace at this stage in my life and trust me when I state that I have visited chaos a few times on this journey. Doing so has finally put the nail in the coffin of the Big "C" because while my peace is a lot of work, the end result of having it is worth it to infinity and beyond.
This nugget of wisdom came to me via my friend Robert Hensley's Nature Reconnect which I follow on Instagram and Facebook. I love the daily affirmations he posts!
Here is his mission statement:
I am a dedicated Personal Rewilding Coach and Meditation Leader, assisting others in their journey to acknowledge, accept, and honor their innate relationship to Nature through very specific meditative and reflective practices for the welfare of their mental and physical health.
Why? Because I believe in a world where our species proves its value to the universe through stewardship, caring for and protecting the world to which we owe our lives. I want the generations to follow to live in a world that isn't diseased and decaying, but rich in diversity and abundance. Through personal rewilding, I believe this is possible.

These days reality is twisted enough already without the added confusion of AI. This being stated AI can also be fun!
Case in point: My latest TikTok obsession is the creepy/macabre/ghoulish/dark/horrific (did I miss any perverse adjectives?) videos straight outta of AI creators.
These are truly amazing and get under my skin and inhabit all the darkest corners of my mind. A personal fetish of mine is a grisly take on the children's nursery rhyme Baa Baa Black Sheep. It's done as a Death Metal song rewritten with disturbing AF lyrics.

Seen the new Superman movie yet? Well I highly recommend it. The comments below made by Supergirl convey my exact thoughts and feelings about it.
What's that you say? "Yes" Supergirl. "No" not Milly Alcock from the upcoming Supergirl movie, but none other than OG Helen Slater from the one in 1984.
Hit her (and my thoughts) after the jump and have a Super Friday!!!
Today we are going to Hump Day & Chill but make it fashion, got it?!

Don't they look absolutely fabulous together? Nod your head "Yes" because they do!!!
I can't think of a more divine way to Hump Day & Chill, you?

OnAugust 26th, 88 Films proudly presents the North American Blu-ray debut of the Hong Kong Sci-Fi cult classic,The Cat, in a limited edition release featuring a high-definition transfer loaded with bonus content.
Li Tung (Lawrence Lau, Bullet in the Head) is unable to sleep due to his noisy upstairs neighbors. When he goes to confront them, he encounters an old man (Siu-ming Lau, A Better Tomorrow II), a young woman (Gloria Yip, Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky), and a mysterious black cat. The next morning, the trio vanish, leaving behind a startling surprise in a pile of newspapers for Tung to uncover. Intrigued by the bizarre tale, Wisely spins a story: the woman and the cat are from outer space, here to stop an alien life form known as The Star Killer—an entity capable of possessing human bodies. But is Wisely really making up a story or recounting his adventure with the extraterrestrials?
Director Ngai Choi Lam (Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky, Erotic Ghost Story) unleashes a cosmic blend of sci-fi and action, complete with a gravity-defying junkyard battle between a cat and a dog, and a fiery showdown in a swimming pool.

Margaret Cho - the five-time Grammy and Emmy nominated comedian/actress has announced she will embark on a new stand-up comedy tour starting in August with her brand new “blistering and brutally honest” show, “Choligarchy.”
“My new show Choligarchy is bringing me back to my roots as a political comedian. I’m so frustrated with the state of the union and I know the only weapon I have is humor. We are being taken over by the richest people in the world but the one thing they cannot afford is jokes at their expense. I want to fight fascism with everything I have. This will be my most blistering and brutally honest show yet! Let’s tear down racism, homophobia and sexism with all that we have. We have to fight for what we have now, because if we wait any longer, it might be too late to save ourselves” says Margaret.
Cho goes on to share –
“Not only do we need more than impeachment. We need a full cabinet removal. Gavin Newsom has to go in with California Closets and redo the whole thing.”
“I will fight Kristi Noem at the med spa of her choosing. We would both have to dissolve our filler beforehand to ensure a fair fight.”
“Choligarchy” will bring Margaret to San Diego, New York and Philadelphia among numerous other stops. Tickets on-sale July 21 HERE
"Margaret Cho inspired me since I was a kid. She was someone who was queer, Asian and doing something that you did not immediately associate with an Asian person. There's a dearth of representation when it comes to queer people or Asian people, but I have to give credit to the people who have been out here doing it, and that's definitely Margaret." Bowen Yang
“The Notoroius C.H.O.! Margaret is a jack of all trades and master of many. Whether conjuring the spirits of George Carlin, Joan Rivers or Lenny Bruce, she is committed to navigating the world of comedy and uniquely making it her own. Completely unapologetic about the life experiences that have shaped her path and journey to where she is today. These are just some of the reasons I love Margaret.”Wanda Sykes
“Margaret Cho is a pioneering, trailblazing, genre-busting badass. She also happens to be extremely amusing.”Shirley Manson of Garbage
“Margaret doesn’t just kick the door down. She lights it on fire.”Atsuko Okatsuka
“Margaret Cho is my soul sister, we see the world through the same lens trying our damndest to make things just a little groovier, mellower & a lot more fun. I admire her deeply. You’ve got to experience her live to get the whole picture so get up & make it happen! She is one of a kind” – Sandra Bernhard
“I’ve said it before but it bears repeating: I would not be doing what I do without Margaret Cho. Her comedy was daring and bawdy and incisive when I first discovered her early work and seeing her now it’s remarkable how she’s been able to evolve, stay relevant and remain one of the funniest comics working today.”Joel Kim Booster
In addition, Margaret continues to be the must-see comedian-actress with new acting roles on the horizon - Margaret has been cast as one of the Gray Sisters alongside Sandra Bernhard & Kristen Schaal in Disney's season 2 of "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" HERE and in Gregg Araki's next film, "I Want Your Sex" with Olivia Wilde & Charli XCX. Margaret’s star has continued to rise in recent years with starring roles in Hulu's EMMY nominated rom-com movie -"Fire Island" (People’s Choice Award, GLAAD Media Award, Dorian TV & Gotham Award winner) with SNL alum Bowen Yangand with Iliza Shlesinger in Netflix's "Good on Paper." Margaret also starred in Netflix’s “OUTSTANDING: A COMEDY REVOLUTION” docu and in the Disney+ "Prom Pact" movie - watch trailer HERE . Margaret was also part of Netflix's “Stand Out Comedy Special” and "Over The Moon" film with Ken Jeong & Sandra Oh which was nominated for an Academy Award & Golden Globe Award. And, the cherry on the cake may be her inclusion in VOGUE Magazine’s “9 best female comedians of all-time’ alongside other comedic icons Joan Rivers, Gilda Radner and Wanda Sykes.
A pioneer amongst women in comedy, Margaret doesn’t take anything for granted as she continues to tackle difficult subjects with sensitivity and her razor sharp insight with her takes on addiction, abuse, activism and Asianness. It's all about the politics of disgust and what is disgusting about politics. Margaret has received many rave reviews for her live shows with the Chicago Tribune saying “Be it on-screen (“30 Rock,” “Drop Dead Diva”) or on stage, Margaret Cho has been one of the most exciting, unpredictable stand-up comics working for some time, and that hasn’t changed. If anything, the Asian-American female comedian’s voice has become more valuable than ever, given today’s social climate, and Cho’s material remains just as compelling, thanks in part to—and sometimes in spite of—her unapologetic delivery.”
Today I'm on the same page as Morticia Addams (Anjelica Huston in this incarnation.) With all the crazy things being said and done in the world at present. How could anything I say possibly be of any consequence?!
I ask you? Yeah, I know I'll be waiting on you to answer for a spell.
Thus today if you encounter my presence you have been given a heads up to my Current Mood, right here, right now.

Out singer-songwriter Tom Goss, known for his soulful voice, daring visuals, and queer-forward storytelling, is back with a bold, hilarious, and irresistibly catchy new single:“Gay Stuff.” Accompanied by an outrageously playful music video directed by longtime collaborator Michael Serrato, the song is an unapologetic celebration of queer joy, individuality, and the absurdity of labels.
The song’s journey began nearly a decade ago, when producer and co-writer Austin Danson came up with the concept. “We thought it was just funny,” says Goss. “We pitched it around to other queer artists, but no one bit. Years later, Austin sent me a reworked version, and I couldn’t stop laughing. We realized this song was too good not to make ourselves.”
“Gay Stuff”is pure dance-pop fun, inspired by drag icons like Willam, Alaska, and RuPaul. But underneath its high-camp surface is a powerful message: joy doesn’t have to fit into a box. “We’re poking fun at stereotypes while fully embracing them,” Goss explains. “Everything is gay! Everything is straight! Everything is in-between. The sooner we stop trying to limit ourselves, the freer and happier we’ll be.”
The lyrics don’t hold back. From calling out the absurdity of traditional gender norms to cheekily labeling everyday activities as gay, the song’s humor hits hard. “Verse two is my favorite,” Goss says. “It’s just a list of normal things, but we call them gay. It’s so stupid. That’s why it works!”
The accompanying music video takes the concept even further. Shot in Palm Springs over a single whirlwind weekend—just 48 hours after wrapping Goss’ other new video, “Bear Soup”—the video is a fever dream of queer delight. “We had no idea where we were shooting or what we were wearing two days before,” Goss laughs. “We thrifted everything, texted friends for props, locations… even a poodle!”
Thanks to the generosity of Palm Springs’ vibrant queer community, the team was able to secure numerous colorful locations, from gyms to grocery stores. Goss stars alongside dancers Jake Gonzales and Floyd Slayweather, who bring hilarious physicality and outrageous charm to the shoot. “I could barely keep a straight face during the grocery store scene,” Goss recalls. “People thought we were completely insane and they weren’t wrong.”
The video, like the song, doesn’t take itself too seriously. But behind the deadpan delivery and over-the-top outfits is a heartfelt intention: to empower. “Humor is one of the most effective tools I’ve found as an activist,” says Goss, who has spent the past twenty years using his art to challenge perceptions. “If I can make you laugh, I can get you to think. I never want to be mean or hurtful. But I do want to push boundaries in a kind, thoughtful way.”
Tom Goss is an acclaimed indie artist whose work spans pop, rock, and electronic music and typically blends raw emotional storytelling with LGBTQ+ themes. With over a decade of touring and over 20 million streams to his name, Goss continues to be a fearless voice for authenticity, inclusion, and joy in the queer community.
Released just in time for Pride season,“Gay Stuff”is tailor-made for dance floors, drag brunches, and backyard parties alike. “Of course, it’s a Pride anthem,” Goss says. “Happy Pride, everybody!”
As for how he hopes fans will respond to the track? Says Goss: “The next time you’re offered something fun to do but that little voice in your head says, ‘I can’t, I’m not [fill in the blank]’ I want you to think of‘Gay Stuff’and do it anyway. Embrace the weird. Embrace the joy. Life is too short not to.”
