The Earthly Delights (Deluxe Edition) EP is David’s first collection of new music in over five years with the deluxe version featuring two brand new tracks - “Fade To Black” (written by David, Michael Cody Dear, Ryan Nealon and Alexander Lewis who also produced the track) & “Inside Out” (written by David, Noah Davis,Ryan Nealon and Michael Blum who also produced the track) as well as acoustic versions of “Crème Brulee” and “Can I Call You.”  

 

David says about the Earthly Delights (Deluxe Edition) EP – “I’m thrilled to share these extra new songs on the deluxe edition of the “Earthly Delights” ep.  I’ve been inspired by so many new things in my life these past few years, and I felt like these songs deserved to be part of the story that I want to share with you all.  It’s fun for me to include you on my journey as I create all this new music and I hope you enjoy these songs as much as I do.”

 

“Fade to Black”

“Fade to Black” is a sassy song about moving on with life and prioritizing yourself after giving too much time to the wrong situations. Time to prioritize your own well-being.” 

 

“Inside Out”

”Inside Out” is a 80’s or 90's influenced throwback sounding song. It’s an intimate song about getting someone to open up more in a relationship and encouraging your partner to let their guard down more after having a wall up and being tough from whatever life has thrown at them, but done in a sexy way.” 

 

David previously shared about Earthly Delights - “I’m in my indulgence mode when it comes to giving into my sensuality. Something I always villainized before. There’s something sweet about being naughty. And it’s actually helped me to get in touch with more tender vulnerable parts of myself. So Earthly Delights is taking in the pleasures of what I always thought would keep me out of heaven. For the belief I always had of the hell and unhappiness I would experience for giving into my “carnal nature” of sexuality, which is the natural instinct of humans and even what leads to the source of life itself, here’s to a big F you to my old fears and embracing the sensual side and “earthly delights” of how good and rich it feels. It really is the source to life.”

 

Questioning his beliefs and the indoctrination of his youth, the innately angelic David has fallen out of graces with the church and his family. Traversing through his own personal hells, he finds a connection with his inner strength in the process— and grounding in his own authentic queer identity. David now re-emerges into the realm of earthly delights. Here, he explores the pleasures and pain of terrestrial life: the sweet indulgences of connection and heartbreak, sensuality and physicality. Innocent at the core, but now balanced and rounded by newfound flirtiness and sass, boldness and humor— he’s an embodied being of the earth, here to take in the full spectrum of what life has to offer, with courage, playfulness, and a beaming inner light.

Margaret Cho - the five-time Grammy and Emmy nominated comedian/actress has announced she will embark on a new stand-up comedy tour starting in August with her brand new “blistering and brutally honest” show, “Choligarchy.”

 

“My new show Choligarchy is bringing me back to my roots as a political comedian. I’m so frustrated with the state of the union and I know the only weapon I have is humor. We are being taken over by the richest people in the world but the one thing they cannot afford is jokes at their expense. I want to fight fascism with everything I have. This will be my most blistering and brutally honest show yet! Let’s tear down racism, homophobia and sexism with all that we have. Tracks From The Attic

Today Independent Project Records and David J (Bauhaus, Love and Rockets) share news of a West Coast tour in support of the recently announced triple album Tracks From the Attic on digital, CD, colored vinyl LP and Super Deluxe Box Set Art Edition formats out on May 3.   Dubbed An Evening With David J, the tour begins on the album’s release day, Friday May 3, with a one-of-kind event at the Bodecker Foundation in Portland, Oregon titled Enter the Attic: an Evening with David J. This will be a tiered ticketed event featuring an interview and Q&A with David and moderator Jeffrey Clark (Shiva Burlesque/IPR), a two-part live performance (solo acoustic and full band) that will find David J performing from the bottom of the iconic Bodecker skate pool (already seen on the Stephen Colbert Show and known for its incredible acoustics and striking design), plus a screening of music videos and a private viewing of David’s original paintings, some of which are also included in the lush deluxe box set edition of Tracks From the Attic. Ticketed live streaming will be available for 48 hours after the performance to allow fans from all over the world to take part in such a special event. Pop-punk duo the Dollyrots have released “Still Holding On" in the US with a brand-new accompanying lyric video. The song is now available on all major streaming platforms.

“Still Holding On” chronicles the current state of the World with Dollyrots style optimism. Kelly explains, “Still Holding On” is a standalone single pulled from our newest recordings, from the first full album sessions since 2019! A hint of the flavor of the upcoming full-length album to be released this Fall. It’s a song about counting on the people you love to get you through the strangeness of modern life. The lyric video features an AI generated version of me, a digital reminder of how off-kilter the Future is becoming”.

In March they released the 7-inch single “Hey Girl”, which was co-produced with Stevie Van Zandt at his Renegade Studios in NYC, with Geoff Sanoff Engineering. The single was released during the band’s “Hey Girl” Spring US tour. The B-Side “I Touch Myself” - a cover of the Divinyls 1990 hit - was co-produced by longtime collaborator John Fields (Jimmy Eat World, All Time Low, Meet Me At the Altar), who is responsible for the bulk of production credit on the upcoming full-length LP due out this fall.

They will be bringing their live party on the road with summer tours planned in both the South and the West Coast with support by friends Don’t Panic and Dog Party. This Fall the band will also embark on a co-headlining run with Tsunami Bomb, including a September 1st pitstop at the 3rd annual Camp Punksylvania Music & Camping Festival at the legendary Circle Drive-In Theater in Pennsylvania. "Decades"

Belinda Carlisle, the Grammy nominated Rock n Roll Hall of Famer has announced a string of US tour dates that will take the iconic singer-songwriter across North America this July and August.  The trek begins on July 1^st in Peachtree City, GA and will hit New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas and other towns and cities before winding down in her hometown of Los Angeles August 27^th at The Greek Theatre.  Most tickets go on sale Friday, February 17^th but some venues will have different on sale dates. The ”Decades” tour will showcase Belinda’s infectious energy and the mesmerizing, gutsy vocals of her vast catalog comprised of more than twenty top-charting global singles from five solo albums which have reached gold, platinum and multi-platinum sales marks from the last 35 years.

Margaret Cho continues to be the must-see female comedian-actress hybrid: she stars in Hulu's well-reviewed rom-com movie -"Fire Island" (People’s Choice Award & Gotham Award winner) with SNL alum Bowen Yang, in Awkwafina’s Nora From Queens and with Iliza Shlesinger in Netflix's "Good on Paper." Margaret was also part of Netflix's 2022 “Stand Out Comedy Special” and "Over The Moon" with Ken Jeong & Sandra Oh which was nominated for an Academy Award & Golden Globe Award.  And, the cherry on the cake may be her inclusion in VOGUE Magazine’s “9 best female comedians of all-time’ alongside other comedic icons Joan Rivers, Gilda Radner and Wanda Sykes.
