Freaky Friday!

Brooke Candy

OK, it was a week and now it's coming to an end. I thought we should head into the weekend with something of an offbeat nature.

"Yes" it's Brooke Candy with a giant fish. I have no explanation for this, and will not offer my response so you will have yours alone as a reaction to it.

I saw Brooke perform once at a to do Donwtown LA, she was awesome! Loud, ballsy, in your face, putting on a raunchy music show just like one of the guys. Kudos!

Do something "freaky" on this Friday August 2nd 2024 and Google her, do it and do it now!

Head into the weekend with a loud bang and end it in a blaze of glory!!!

Michael's Musings

It's A Brat Summer!
Michael Shinafetl

That's correct Minions I'm having a Brat Summer, because while reading up on the trend I saw the the six things one needs to do to have a truly Brat Summer.

One of the key things? "Have fun in spite of it all." Based on this one I am a MAJOR Brat! The more you know...

FYI Fear is stupid and so are regrets. Not to mention house cleaning.

Why did the chicken cross the road? So he wouldn't have to debate Kamala!

Me seeing someone's baby for the first time: "They have their Father's eyes." If you know, you know

Don't bother me I'm joy riding on an astral plane

When shopping for wines look in the Exciting Whites section. That's all you need to know

BTW I don't have a bucket list, But my f#ck it list is a mile long, you?

Nothing is hotter than the view of a young in shape Marlon Brando shirtless. Fight me!!!

I don't know about you, but this weekend I wanna rock a little!

Woman Crush of the Week - Madonna who is celebrating the release of Cherish 35 years ago today! All hail the Queen!

It's always out of code, time to break out the MAMU

There's a very unhinged amount of GIFs and stickers

When somone leaves me a voice mail I feel stalked

If you thought the debate was bad you really won't like the swimsuit competition

Time for me to marry the day

Hump Day & Chill

Another Wednesday, another Hump Day & Chill. We made it to the middle and honestly I'm in a take no prisoners mood.

Thus I'm not in the mood to tolerate ridiculous drama. That's correct you heard me ridiculous drama.

That seems to be the plague of the masses these days and I want no part of it.

Basically this hat sums it all up for me in the most delightful way.

Yep, I'm not here on this planet for that shit...

Paint It Black

Blackened
Jennifer Anniston

One of my favorite songs ever is Paint It Black by the Rolling Stones. Small wonder since my favorite color is, well, black. Coincidence I think not!

So here we have Jannifer Aniston getting painted black literally on the set of The Morning Show. From the info I've obtained she got the make over shooting a protest scene. Protesting what? I do not know...there's a lot to protest these days.

Love that her inital shirt color was white, makes it more dramatic.

And that's just what we need presently, more drama...

NOT!!!

Life Is A Mystery

David Lynch & Laura Dern

"In a darkness, And the mysteries, Of love, Come clear" - Mysteries Of Love, Julee Cruise

Laura Dern dropped out of college because UCLA would not allow her to take a leave of absence to film "Blue Velvet." She gave David Lynch's script to the head of the film department in order to convince him, but he fired back at her: “First of all, if you make this choice, you are no longer welcome at UCLA. You’ll be out. But secondly, having read this script, that you would give up your college education for this is insane.” Dern says that "today, if you want to get a masters in film at that school, when you write a thesis there are three movies you are required to study. And you know what one of them is? Pisses me off."

"Easy Listening"

Sandra Bernhard

New York - Performer, actress, compelling storyteller Sandra Bernhard is back on the road in 2024 with her "Easy Listening" live extravaganza.

Ride along with Sandy as she takes you on a tour of her musical influences. From the first time she heard the Supremes on AM radio on a snowy night in Flint, Michigan, to her first concert, Simon and Garfunkel… these are the songs you love and remember. The strumming guitars, the singalongs… from Peter Paul & Mary to the Stones – with Slaughter On Tenth Avenue playing on the Fisher HiFi (“Absolutely no one can touch this, do you hear me!” screamed her father) – as Ravel & Debussy drifted up from the basement where her mother just wanted to take a small break. The sounds of home that we all remember… jazz from your brother’s bedroom, your sister shouting along to Janis as she plotted her escape. The cross-country move to Arizona opened new musical vistas, as the ‘60s gave way to the ‘70s and the women of the era acted as our spiritual guides… Tina, Joni, Dusty, Aretha, Laura, Carole… Climb into the Pontiac station wagon and get ready to hit the road.

"The holiday vibes floating in the desert, Christmas carols hanging on a Saguaro. We’ll be bringing you old memories and new, just the way you like it:  groovy, cool and cozy." says Sandra

Be it on-screen (“American Horror Story,” “POSE” - HERE), radio (Sandyland on Sirius XM’s Radio Andy Channel 102) or on stages across the globe, Sandra Bernhard has been one of the most exhilarating performers for the past five decades.

A pioneer of the one-woman show, Sandra’s trailblazing style has won her a loyal following and critical praise as she continues to tackle difficult subjects head on with sincerity and her whip smart insight.

"Bernhard teaches the children – all those burgeoning spoken-word artists and monologists how to perform observational comedy with style, and right on the political edge."  - The New Yorker
