Same Old Love

Bride of Frankenstein
Elsa Lanchester

"Take away your things and go

You can't take back what you said, I knowI've heard it all before, at least a million timesI'm not one to forget, you know
I don't believe, I don't believe itYou left in peace, left me in piecesToo hard to breathe, I'm on my kneesRight now, 'ow
I'm so sick of that same old love, that shit, it tears me upI'm so sick of that same old love, my body's had enoughOh, that same old loveOh, that same old love" - Same Old Love, Selena Gomez
Bride of Frankenstein is one of my favorite films. It was made in 1935 and stars Elsa Lanchester in the title role.
I watch it every year around Halloween and it's themes and story still ring true to contempoary times.

In 24 More Days...

Channeling Elsa...
Kylie Jenner

What's the fun of Spooky Season if we can't have a Halloween Countdown flown in on a broom occasionally for good measure? I ask you? I'm waiting as usual...

Say what you will, or won't, or better yet say nothing at all about Kylie Jenner seen here as The Bride of Frankenstein.

For those of you not in the know the Bride of Frankenstein is a 1935 film starring Elsa Lanchester as, well, The Bride. I saw it for the first time a few years ago, there is a reason it's considered a classic of cinema, it's terrific! Highly recommended for any lover of horror out there.

Kylie's homage as a sexier version of The Bride to me is dead on (no pun intended, or perhaps it was) - So with only 24 more days left, join Kylie and myself as we get in the spirit of the season.

It's the most wonderful time of the year after all...Boo!

Hump Day & Chill

Electrifying!
Frankenstein & Bride

"I was working in the lab, late one night, When my eyes beheld an eerie sight

For my monster from his slab, began to rise" - Monster Mash

Frankenstein and his Bride are taking New York City by storm and striking a pose in Times Square, an iconic one at that.

"Levity" is the vibe for this Hump Day & Chill, join me won't you in imbibing in it. You know you want it, and so do I.

I'd make a reference to romance, but I'm sorry the old Michael can't come to the blog, he's evolved.. So this is where it lands and stays "Levity."

Let's let our inner child out in the wild today with inspiration courtesy of Frankie and his Bride.
