Only 17 More Days...

Could It Be Satan???

You know the term "The Devil Is A Bottom?" Well if you didn't now you do. He lures people into temptation after all, thus it makes sense.

Here we see Satan working merrily away on his Pride Flag as actual proof! He is clearly a Queer ally of the fun time sort. Satan the Good Time Guy, if you will.

This Devil is also here to remind you that it's scant 17 more days until Halloween...

He's going to tempt you with those apples of his, oh my!!!

Bottoms up and Devil laughs! Good times indeed!

ALONE is "Fine"

Breakthrough Queer Artist ALONE Releases “Fine”A Song That Re-examines What Makes a Sexy Man Today

“Fine”, the brand-new single from breakthrough Queer artist ALONE is out to expand the prevalent notions of sexuality, masculinity, and what it means to be a sexy man today. “There are many expressions of masculinity and they all can be hot,” the artist insists. Produced by ALONE and recorded in NYC with a full live band, the celebratory track, with its dark, sultry vibe, pays homage to 80s Rock strip songs but from an unapologetically Queer perspective. “’Fine’ is meant to get listeners in the mood for lovin’,'' ALONE reveals, “and my hope is that it liberates people to be vocal and proud about who they are and what turns them on.” ALONE’s “Fine” is available now on Apple MusicSpotify and all digital platforms.

"Fine" is ALONE's second release following his debut single "Everything" which has garnered over 50K views on YouTube. "Fine" departs from the bright, classic RnB style of "Everything" and introduces listeners to ALONE's darker side with a Rock-inspired production. "It's the kind of song that makes you wanna take off your clothes and give someone a lap dance," ALONE explains.  His powerful Blues-Rock vocals ride a dirty rhythm set by distorted guitars and a throbbing low-down bassline as the lyrics narrate a story of Queer passion. "I feel like today's culture looks at Rock music, including its Pop incarnations, as a 'straight' genre and I beg to differ," ALONE continues from his NYC home. "The Queer legacy of Rock 'n Roll dates back to its inception with artists like Big Mama Thornton and Little Richard, and has always been present through artists such as David Bowie, The Velvet Underground, and Freddie Mercury — it's time we reclaim it.”

ALONE, born “Alon,” was raised in Israel, in a small coastal town called Herzliya. His father died in military action when he was three and a half years old. He grew up in a household of women, with only his mom and sister. His musical influences were Prince, Grace Jones, George Michael and Sylvester.    “Growing up as a Queer kid who never fully fit in anywhere, seeing a Queer artist like Sylvester was a beacon of hope,” ALONE reflects. “It made me feel like I wasn't alone, like there was a future for me and that there were others out there like me.”

Upon moving to New York City, Alon changed his name to ALONE to reclaim the word; empowering its meaning from something sad and scary to independent and in control. “Being alone is one thing everyone experiences from time to time. There is beauty and strength-building in it. The binary concept that being alone is bad and being together is good is false. Both are equally important to our growth and well-being.”

ALONE’s “Fine” is available today on Apple Music, Spotify and all digital platforms. Visit his website and follow ALONE on Instagram @ TogethALONE.

Love Is A Dirty Word

Let's Give Them Something To Think About

Tilted Field, in association with VS. Theatre Company, is proud to present the World Premiere of Giovanni Adams’ new play Love is a Dirty Word, opening in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 17th at 8:00pm. The solo work, performed by Adams, with musical accompaniment by Arturo Lopez, is about a young man finding redemption when he is deemed too dirty to love. This autobiographical piece is rooted in Mr. Adams’ experience as a black, queer, Christian man crossing lines of identity, affinity and ideology. Love is a Dirty Word was developed and directed by Becca Wolff (No Static at All, Outstanding Solo Show, 2015 NY Fringe Festival). The play will run through Saturday, July 15, 2017 at VS. Theatre on Pico. For more information please visit http://vstheatre.org and https://www.facebook.com/events/835544223260279.

The story begins and ends in Adams’ hometown of Jackson, Mississippi. The songs are originals by Mr. Adams and arranged by Mr. Lopez. Designers include Melissa Trn (costumes) and Rachel Myers (set). The 80-minute show will run Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00pm at VS. Theatre, which is located at 5453 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90019. The first show on Friday, June 16th is a preview performance. Opening Night is set for Saturday, June 17th. Tickets are $30 each and available by calling the box office at 323-739-4411 or online by visiting Brown Paper Tickets at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2951780

Adams and Wolff began developing the show in the summer of 2015 when “...the perceived abject otherness of blackness was being made visible in the most horrific fashion. The spectacle of black death gone viral was a wake up call and a reminder that to be born black in America is to live with a heightened awareness of your out-of-placeness,” says Adams. “Safety can be real hard to find. This got me thinking about my own complex relationship to love and home. Is there such a thing as being too different – too dirty to love? That’s the seed of the story that we’re trying to tell. This story is a meditation of my childhood memories in Mississippi, accompanied with music and images. It traces my journey back home to reconnect with the little boy buried on the inside of me…a liberating act of love."

Their musical influences include Baltimore club, booty breaks, and ballroom house, all wrapped in a world of couture fashion.

Through their music, Double Duchess encourages fans to be and tell their truth regardless of sexuality, gender, or race. “We don’t want any beautiful faces hidden from the world,” says Krylon Superstar.
Double Duchess’ next full-length release is tentatively scheduled for March/April 2015. The album will cover a wide range of sounds and include collaborations with fellow queer artists Nicky da B and TT the Artist.
