Gus Kenworthy Is Sexual

Dressed To Kilt
Gus Kenworthy

In case you are not familiar with, nor read Attitude Magazine well Gus Kenworthy decided to reveal what a horny guy he is. Don't believe me, here is the quote from the interview he did with them:

“In terms of being viewed as sexual, I don’t care. I’m flattered and fine with it. I’m a very, very sexual person and I’m very open about it.”

Oh the mind does wonder what specific kinds of activity this does cover. "Yes" it's obviously sexual, but I want specifics, sexual covers a lot of territory.

Anyway in case you ever wondered what Gus thinks about in his free time, now you know.

He's another typical male.

Friday Vibe

I Feel Pris-sy!

For some cosmic reason my Friday Vibe is Pris from Bladerunner played to perfection by Daryl Hannah. "Yes" a Nexus-6 a "basic pleasure model" -

Pleasure or not, that didn't stop her from being kick ass when put in a corner. Pris was not only a sexy replicant she was could take you out!

Pris and myself have those two things in common, thus she is my spirit animal for this Friday September 29th 2023.

So if you see me out and about with the come hither stare, watch out! It might be hiding my contempt for you, and won't you be happy when I let that go!

It's the last Friday of September TGIF Minions!!!

“And all at once, summer collapsed into fall.”

Indeed fall is now here and I'm ready for change. Fall teaches us the beauty of letting go, with nature giving us a magical example, the trees. Honestly I'm ready to let go, I even have a tattoo that says "Just Let Go."

Time to put into action what I have inked on my upper left arm Minions, you've got this!

Hump Day & Chill

"I can buy myself flowers, Write my name in the sand, Talk to myself for hours, Say things you don't understand" Flowers, Miley Cyrus

We all know the awesome hit song Flowers by Miley Cyrus, it's a favorite of mine. Well now we are going to take an unexpected turn into Flower Land. It's time to Hump Day & Chill to "Eaten By Flowers."

As I was on one of my many walks through the City of Angels I spied this stencil on the ground and snapped a photo of it, and "Yes" that is my bare foot next to it.

What does it actually mean?! Hell if I know, but it's meaning can take on many forms and that's the beauty of it. It means what you want it to mean.

I know you want to know what I personally think it's meaning is, I was going to tell you but I think you should just think about it while you Hump Day & Chill.

PS go buy yourself some flowers today too!!!

Monday Motivation

Not sure this is really Monday Motivation, why don't we call it a Monday Reality Check? Yeah, that's it, that's the ticket!

Listen to what Morticia has to say, she knows of what she speaks. I base this on personal experience.

What kind of experience is that you ask? Well let's put it this way I have first hand round the clock experience to be precise.

"Yes" I had the extreme displeasure of being around someone who is exactly what Ms. Addams describes above. I highly do not recommend the experience.

Thus the moral of today's reality check is beware of the close minded ones, their mouths do run on and on like they have something to say and the knowledge to back. Truth? they have neither.

Have an amazing week and take care of yourselves!!!

Silly Sunday

Name That Tune

"The tide is high, but I'm holding on, I'm gonna be your number one" - The Tide Is High, Blondie

Saw this meme and thought it was hilarious! Also true the fact that I found it hilarious means I am old.

For those who may not be old let  me break this meme down for you. We have Debbie Harry frontwoman for the group Blondie. A case of Tide up on high shelf. Thus referencing the Blondie song The Tide Is High.

Simple no?

Everyone needs levity, thus I felt the need to share the silliness, hence Silly Sunday.

Now get out there and live, love and laugh!

Bi, Bi, Bi

Tyler Blackburn

Guess what today is Minions??? It's Celebrate Bisexuality Day! I know a handful of bisexual beings and I would have to say if there is one quality that I wished I had, being fluid would be one of them.

Thus with admiration and respect I am commemorating this day.

Since I am a big Pretty Little Liars fan and am currently binging the series for a second go, I thought I would pick Tyler Blackburn (Caleb Rivers) as the poster guy for today.

Here's what he had to say about the subject in a 2019 interview with The Advocate:

"I'm queer. I've identified as bisexual since [I was] a teenager," he said. "I just want to feel powerful in my own skin, and my own mind, and in my own heart."

Perfectly stated Mr. Blackburn, that's all anyone wants for themselves.

Time to celebrate!

The Desperate Hours

Director William Wyler (Detective Story, Roman Holiday) pairs up two Hollywood legends - Humphrey Bogart (Casablanca) and Fredric March (The Best Years of Our Lives) - for their only appearance together. The result is an electrifying tour de force pitting two giants of the silver screen against each other. Three escaped cons, led by the ruthless Glenn Griffin (Bogart), force their way into a suburban home, intending to hide out while they await the arrival of an all-important package. But what should have been an overnight stay extends into a protracted hostage situation, pitting Glenn against the embattled family patriarch, Daniel Hilliard (March) - a man with everything to lose. Adapted by Joseph Hayes (The Third Day) from his own novel and stage play and inspired by actual events, The Desperate Hours is a classic tale of suspense from a master filmmaker at the height of his creative powers, now fully restored from the original VistaVision negative.

"Stories To Tell"

As musical trends come and go, The Hangmen have remained uncompromising since their formation in 1986. From big money major label deals to debilitating drug addiction, lead singer

Bryan Small has continued to charge forward with the headlong momentum of a runaway train.

Bridging the gap somewhere between The Gun Club and the Rolling Stones, the band’s latest offering, Stories To Tell smashes together Small's lurid love songs with unsparing, unsentimental blasts that shine a penetrating light into the dark and seedy corners of life. From the melodic “Midnight Riders” to the haunting “On The Outside,” Small delivers an album with a simplicity and depth of songwriting reminiscent of Neil Young and Tom Petty.

_“Midnight Riders is a rite of passage song. It’s the way my friends and I lived in our early days navigating life, being in bands and coping with everything as kids in Hollywood. We didn’t have boundaries. We had mentors who were notoriously fucked up geniuses in our eyes. I’m not surprised by the path we took for ourselves - some made it, some moved home and some died."

Small himself recently relocated after 38 years in Los Angeles to his hometown of Missoula, Montana, so his kids could grow up around family.

“We recorded in different studios over the course of about a year and a half, which is the way some of my favorite albums were made,” reveals Small, “This is the first record since Mike Ness (Social Distortion) produced In The City that I’ve kinda let go of the production and mixing to get a different view of these songs.”

Longtime Hangmen fan Rob Schnapf (Elliot Smith, Beck, X) also stepped in to produce two tracks on Stories: “On The Outside” and “Last Time I Saw You,” a tribute to “Rontrose” Heathman, the former Hangmen and Supersuckers guitar player who passed away in 2020.

Stories To Tell also includes a raucous cover of Credence Clearwater Revival’s “Sinister Purpose.” “CCR has always been a part of The Hangmen’s DNA to some extent. It was a bit of an overlooked song that spoke to us. Jimmy James (guitarist) brought it to the band and it was a natural fit.”

Stories To Tell will be released September 8, 2023 on Acetate Records. A month-long European tour commences September 13 in Paris.

Monday Motivation

Here's some Monday Motivation wisdom via Oscar Winner Jamie Lee Curtis' mouth. This is something I'm not sure you really grasp until a certain age. It's not something I think you could wrap your head around without a certain amount of years lived.

But if you do understand this completely and are under fifty, congratulations!!!

Personally it is my capacity to change that has given me tremendous happiness as well. It does make one more content to just be and flow with the world around themselves. I can be happy watching TV, Eating at my favorite local restaurant or experiencing what is happening around me in the moment.

Remember change and flow are essential and nothing to be afraid of. Adapt to your personal journey in life, relax and go with where it takes you. The rewards will be great!

Monday Motivation indeed!!!

"All Mine"

Roman

Roman’s new single, “All Mine”, completes the artist’s trilogy of songs detailing the emotional rollercoaster of his five-year marriage and subsequent divorce.  Where “Price to Pay” dealt with the consequences of choosing a partner that did not reciprocate his love, “Crazy” was about the hurt, pain, embarrassment, and confusion that swirled in his head as a result of it, “All Mine” is more optimistic with an upbeat and playful retro vibe.  “It comes from a much stronger, more confident place,” Roman acknowledges. “I wrote the song when I finally came to understand that I have to shift my focus and make this moment about me and my priorities.”   Produced by Velvet Code, Roman’s “All Mine” is being distributed by So Fierce Music/The Orchard/Sony Music Entertainment and is available on Apple Music, Spotify, and all digital platforms.

“For too long, I’ve had a tendency to lose myself in supporting others,” Roman continues from his Los Angeles home.  “The main message of ‘All Mine’ is that we should never place the needs of another person or circumstance or situation above our own.”

Roman is renowned for his wide vocal range that spans four octaves and his electrifying sound that blends R&B with Hip Hop influences and pays homage to the legendary dance divas of the '90s and early 2000s.

Last year, his debut single "Price to Pay," produced by Velvet Code, soared to the top of the charts, reaching #1 for global digital and radio airplay, and the #4 spot on the House of Pride Top 30 chart, where it remained for seven months.  His second release, "Crazy," earned the adoration of DJs worldwide with the Tony Moran Anthem remix of the song premiering at White Party Palm Springs and climbing to the #3 position on the Masspool club chart and #1 on both the House of Pride Top 30 and the King of Spins DJ-rated chart.

All Mine” is produced by Velvet Code. The remixes are by DJ Guy Scheiman, Tweaka Turner, Rob Moore, and Dario Xavier.

The Vincent sisters provide the background vocals on “All Mine”. Pam Vincent is best known for singing back-up for Aretha Franklin in the 70’s and 80’s. Her sister, Joyce Vincent, is the other half of Dawn of Tony Orlando and Dawn.

“It was a blast producing these wonderfully talented ladies,” Roman says. “We were able to really stretch and play. They were such professionals and it was just the best time!”

Creepy C#nt Friday

All our lives have some amount of commonality, this means that chances are you too have had a Creepy C#nt in your life.

The issue with these creatures is that you'd think you could ignore them and they would get their own life.

Well that just isn't the truth, and that's something that one of this not rare enough species never tells.

Let's just put it this way, it really doesn't take too much effort to confuse and out wit them. However they do tend to cling on to your life for dear life.

Basically they have no life of their own and try to suck the living out of yours because they are the most jealous, evil creatures that have ever lived.

But I'm here to tell you they will eventually buzz off, because the fact that they can never come too your level will frustrate them so much that their head will implode.

So let's toast Creepy C#nt Friday by wishing them a good riddance and the misery they already have and richly deserve!

Hump Day & Chill

Pretty In Blue
Isabella Rossellini

"She wore blue velvet, Bluer than velvet was the night" - Blue Velvet

I'm not sure how chill this really is, but it's occupying the corners of my mind. "Yes" it's Isabella Rossellini straight outta Blue Velvet.

Thus let us Hump Day & Chill to her magnificence in it! Isabella portrayed nightclub singer Dorothy Vallens whose son and husband have been kidnapped by first class psycho Frank Booth.

I saw Blue Velvet when it first came out, there had never been anything like it prior. Was it shocking? For it's time it was, I personally wasn't shocked by any of it. That being said one of my friends who was with me was incensed when it was over and said how she almost walked out and now needed to go home and take a shower.

Yeah, there's that. Whatever your take on the actual film no one can deny the glory of Isabella Rossellini in it.

So a Hump Day & Chill toast to the goddess that is Isabella...

Cheers!

Monday Motivation

Sometimes Monday Motivation is right there happening before our eyes, poetry in motion if you will.

Fall draws nigh and it's all about letting go of things that no longer serve you. In fact I have a tattoo on my upper left arm the says that very thing: Just Let Go. See the trees and I are on the same page.

It's something that I have lost some sight of and am getting back to, it's a very liberating and healthy thing to do.

So let's hit the ground like a tree leaf and let things go on this fine Monday.

Are you ready???

Current Mood

Well some clever Minion out in the ether made this meme and of course it made it's way onto the WWW. "Yes" it's the Firestarter mash up we all didn't know we needed until now.

To make it precise it takes an image of Drew Barrymore from the Firestarter movie and the lyrics from the song Firestarter by Prodigy and makes into one direct hit of a Current Mood.

Make of it what you will, but this definitely captures part of my vibe today. The more aggressive side shall we say...

Don't say I didn't give you the heads up!

Lollipop

In “Lollipop,” the first single release from his upcoming album, out artist Jaime Adrian claps back at the negative nellies who keep trying to quash his spirit.  “Growing up, I was constantly told I wasn’t good enough,” he laments. “That I would never succeed in the music industry because I was too girly or too loud or I wasn’t as good as so-and-so artist playing on the radio.  I’ve come to learn that no matter what I say or do, someone is always going to hate.  This track is about shoving my lollipop in their face and shutting them up once and for all.”

With its dark Latin/reggaeton pop beat, “Lollipop" has a different energy and vibe then Jaime Adrian’s previous records. It’s sexy and in your face.  “It’s a different kind of anthem that it is meant to make everyone wanna go right up to their bully and snap their fingers and sway their hips,” he says.   Produced by Velvet Code, Jaime Adrian’s “Lollipop” is being distributed by So Fierce Music/The Orchard/Sony Music Entertainment and is available on Apple Music, Spotify, and all digital platforms

Jaime Adrian was born on the east side of Chicago.  His father passed away when he was 17.  His mother raised him and his little brother and sister on her own.   It was a Mexican and very Catholic neighborhood and kids made often fun of Jaime for being different.  They called his love of singing “not something a real man would do” and for years, they managed to silence his voice.

Until The X Factor came calling.  Jaime Adrian flew to Kansas City and was the first person in line for the season two auditions of the televised competition show.  He arrived with a blue mohawk, claiming to be the male Britney Spears. A few weeks after performing for the preliminary judges, he learned he had made it to the live show auditions!  “When I got to the arena, I was told by a producer to speak only to Britney and serenade her with one of her own songs.”  Listening to the producer’s advice would prove to be his first blunder.

His anxiety was through the roof.  Jaime recalls meeting Britney, Britney asking him a few questions, him gushing of how she was his biggest idol, Britney looking confused and then him breaking into one of her signature songs that was way out of his vocal register.

L.A. Reid called Jaime’s performance horrible karaoke.  Music manager Louis Walsh questioned why he would dare insult Britney by obliterating one of her songs. Demi Lovato was the only judge to come to Jaime’s defense, telling Jaime that he was a good singer but that it was the wrong song for his voice, which he knew, but had only attempted because the show’s producer told him he had to.

“I learned that day that competition shows like The X Factor aren’t interested in making my dreams come true, they’re about making good TV for viewers.”  He realized that he had been tricked by the producer into making a fool of myself for a funny soundbite.

He spent the rest of the day crying in his hotel room from embarrassment.   He stopped singing after that.   “Once again, I allowed bullies to silence my voice.”

It wasn’t until 2020 when he moved back to Chicago, met producer Velvet Code, and signed with the music label, So Fierce Music, that Jaime began to find his voice again.  “With Velvet’s help, I have been able to discover the kind of artist I want to and can be. I’ve become comfortable with who I am and what I have to offer.”

Today, he draws inspiration from Euro Pop, the infectious rhythms of Latin Pop, and the nostalgia of 2000's Pop.  He’s released several singles, including “What Were You Drinking”, “Feed My Ego”, “Beautiful Life”, and “Belong”.

He’s not trying to be the next Britney or the next anyone anymore.   He’s taking the quirks that people have always found weird and different and amplifying them because they are what make him special.

“I know that a lot of my audience can relate with ‘Lollipop’ and my hope is that it’s catchy and upbeat sound will inspire them out of any funk.   No one is alone.  We’re in this together.  And anyone who thinks they can silence us can suck it.”
