Monday Motivation

Sometimes Monday Motivation is right there happening before our eyes, poetry in motion if you will. 

Fall draws nigh and it's all about letting go of things that no longer serve you. In fact I have a tattoo on my upper left arm the says that very thing: Just Let Go. See the trees and I are on the same page.

It's something that I have lost some sight of and am getting back to, it's a very liberating and healthy thing to do.

So let's hit the ground like a tree leaf and let things go on this fine Monday.

Hello Fall! "Yes" Minions today is the first day of Fall, my most favorite time of year. So we are going to literally Hump Day & Chill to the season of cooler temps and autumn leaves.

We have some seasonal pin-up guys on hand to help us celebrate, Andrew & Jonah (pictured above)

Andrew is a tad more on the modest side than Jonah, he gives us skin, but does not go Full Monty. While Jonah on the other hand is a giver, all the way!

Turn Back Time...

It's that time of year again to get in formation and Fall Back, not to be confused with Hollaback.

Thus it's time to trot out that tired yet effective Cher meme that utilizes her hit single If I Could Turn Back Time. While I know the meaning of the song has nothing to do with literal time change, I wonder if Cher had an inkling she would become the meme poster child for Falling Back?

Personally I don't see how she couldn't have had some sort of an notion. It's such an obvious get.

Moving on, remember to set your clocks back one hour tonight. That means you get an extra sixty minutes added to your day tomorrow...Yay!

Well it happened today. We all collectively woke up and Bam! it was Fall just like that. Where did this year go, I ask you? I know you don't have an answer, and honestly I don' either.

All I know is I spent this year basically out of commission because of of a surgical procedure I had to have done and the adventure will finally be over in the next two weeks. Thus I am ready for a change of pace, that just so happens to coincide with the change of season 😘

Fall has always been my favorite time of the year, there is something comfortable, yet transformative to me about it. Having been laid up for ten weeks this is going to be one Hell of an interesting Equinox for me. "Yes" I have had a lot of time to reflect and redirect. 

What does it all mean? I know what it means, but I'm not going to spill, not yet anyway. Just know, you'll find out...

With just a little over a month left of Summer (Fall begins September 23rd) my mind has turned to thoughts on the subject of Summer Vacation. Everybody does it, all the popular people do it, give in to the peer pressure.

Since I have spent my Summer having Bunion Surgery and recovering from it, I got a vacation sort of. It's one where I have been sitting around binge watching things without guilt. Oh and of course writing this blog and other such things.

It's times like this I wonder "What would Gerard Butler do?" or more to the point "What would I do to Gerard Butler" - here's Gerard in a swimsuit aboard a boat. Your Welcome.

Since I was not able to reach the beach this fine Summer, I brought some of the eye candy that it offers to me. "Yes" the WWW is a wonderful thing. 

Well Gerard I wished I could have been there and done that with you but alas, here I sit elevated in front of my computer writing about the Summer I didn't have. Yet somehow the one I did was it's own gift, this vacation was meant to be spent mostly alone and that is sometimes exactly what one needs.

So here we are, it's the first day of Fall and guess who's hitting the tractor?! None other than Jennifer Garner. 

Damn Grrrrrrrrl, what did divorcing Ben Affleck do to you? You are now loco and you feel a need to mow down strawberry fields? Yeah, I'm kidding. 

I'm not really sure why Ms. Garner is sitting on top of a tractor, but it's a great visual to kick off the first day of Fall 2018. 

What's that you say, you can't believe we are winding down 2018 already. Neither can I, and neither can the my imaginary friend named Bertha.

But alas Fall is officially here despite that today it is going to be in the 80's in my neck of the world Los Angeles, CA.

Even though fall doesn't officially begin until September 22, Labor Day marks the end of summer symbolically because it is the last holiday weekend of the season.

That being said while summer is headed into the twilight stage, the summer weather will go on with all of 2017'a crazy heat waves.

So let's bid adieu to the season with this shot of Dancing With The Stars Derek Hough playing Frisbee at the beach.

While Derek doesn't do much for me on the Schwing meter I will state I would like to have a body like his. Evenly proportioned with just the right amount of ripple.

Are You There Mars? It's Me Matt Damon

Will Matt Damon Be Your Favorite Martian? 

Fall is just around the corner and it is shaping up to be hotter than the scorching summer we have had only this time the heat will be hitting your local movie theater.

Hunks and beauties galore will be gracing us with their presence in the cinema with highly anticipated projects of prestige that scream: Gimme, gimme an Oscar after midnight - to other works of art merely saying, hey, look at me I'm not Sandra Dee.

Always interesting and mostly top notch Director, Ridley Scott brings us The Martian with hunky monkey Matt Damon. I am so in for this one!

Matty plays an astronaut who is presumed dead after an unexpected storm (um, does anyone ever expect storms?) hits on his mission to Mars. Well THAT blows, quite literally.

What is a stranded astronaut who is not really dead to do? Ridley Scott has been hitting high notes of late after some brief downtime, I believe this one is going to be so treble!

As fall 2015 draws nigh, be on the lookout for images of Cher wearing Marc Jacobs for his fall 2015 campaign.

The multi-faceted Cher now has working Marc Jacobs designs this fall on her vast to do list.

Willow Smith is also on board as well, but does anyone really care with Cher occupying the same orbit?

James & Heidi Durbin Are Ready To CELEBRATE with Announcement of Second Child Due This Fall

Congratulations to my buddy James Durbin, he and wife Heidi are expecting baby number two! 

American Idol alum & pop rock star James Durbin and wife Heidi Durbin are celebrating the announcement of their second child due this Fall.  Heidi is about 8 weeks along and is expected to deliver the new bundle of joy in November.  This will be the second child for James & Heidi.  Their son Hunter Durbin will turn 5 years old next month. 

Says James & Heidi, "We are looking forward to more laughter in the house with this new addition.  We love those silly baby expressions and big brother Hunter will probably be a big help too."
