Freaky Friday

Look, Up In The Sky...
Tippi Hedren

Ever wonder what would happen if nature rebelled against you in the form of a docile creature such as a bird? Well I actually don't my sister's parakeet attacked me a few times, so that has been scratched off my bucket list.

This coming Tuesday I will be hitting The Montalban Theater in Hollywood for a retro screening of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. It has been a long time since I have seen it, like, I believe I saw it when I was in High School. So I don't remember too much about it, other than cute little birdies taking on the demeanor of animals gone wild and that Tippi Hedren was a stalker of sorts.

So in case you haven't guessed it Ornithophobia - fear of birds, is this weeks Freaky Friday inspiration.

Thanks Tippi & Alfred looking forward to revisiting this classic under the stars on the rooftop of The Montalban this Tuesday. I hope there are no birds in sight...Ca ca ca!

Hump Day & Chill

Raise A Glass, Now Kiss My...
Angelina Jolie
Today I've got chills, they're multiplying...usually I have reserved today for a delicious side of man meat. But today I cam craving a different kind of "chill" the one belonging to the world of adult beverages. The martini to be exact.

"Yes" passing by landmark Hollywood restaurant Musso and Frank reminded me of days of yore when I spent time on the Blvd., Hollywood that is seeing movies almost every weekend at the Grauman's Chinese Theater and then sauntering down to M & F for a gin martini with two olives.

Gin was my jam, a vodka martini almost seemed like an amateur concoction and a two martini chill @ Musso's was a quadruple treat. That's correct minions when the bartender made them while you watched there was always an extra something more that he poured into a side decanter that made it equal two, thus two for one! Trust only a couple of rounds and my boots were made for more than walking.

So join moi and Ms. Angelina Jolie and raise a glass and "Chill" - because it's "Hump Day" after all...

For those about to rock, I salute you!

You've Got To Have Friends

Luann de Lesseps & Lance Bass
After the tumultuous past couple of years - a quickie marriage/divorce, getting arrested for a DUI, assaulting a Police officer, entering rehab, relapsing and re-entering rehab and to top it all off being sued by her ex-husband and children, Luann de Lesseps of The Real Housewives of New York City has had quite the bumpy ride.

Lucky for her she's got friends, and lots of them as she takes to the stage in her cabaret show #CountessAndFriends - Look who dropped by while she was performing at The Borgata in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Why it's none other than NSYNC singer Lance Bass!

Honestly I kind of like Luann, mainly because she owns her mistakes. She does not blame everyone else for her problems. While her reactions to them may be less than ideal, we've all been there and done that.

It's nice to see her having a good time and taking her act on the road. She, like all of us, deserves to have something on our lives that makes our soul happy.

Most importantly she has a great support system of, well, friends.

C'est la vie!

Just Because...Janelle Monae

Express Yourself
Janelle Monae
Just Because this image gives me life, Just Because she's an amazing talent & Just Because she Janelle Monae Bitches. Janelle belting out her hits during a performance on NBC's Today Show at Rockefeller Plaza in NYC is all you need for any given Sunday.

While Janelle is primarily known as a powerhouse vocalist, it was her performance as Teresa in the film Moonlight that really got my attention. She was truly amazing!

Janelle is one of the rare talents who can, and does do it all and nails everything she commits to. She is so alive when she expresses herself through her art, her passion for what she does is joyous.

So, it's Sunday and you have a choice (there's always a choice) - play it safe or bend it like Janelle.

Which will you choose, I bet you know what I chose...

Sarah Jessica Parker

T.G.I.F! Friday is here and it's time for a a dose of Sex and the City realness, or maybe it's simply something out of the ordinary, ya know...freaky!

Honestly I don't know how she pulled this mismatch outfit off, butt it werks. Behold Sarah Jessica Parker in an ensemble that really has no right to even look good on the most fashion challenged person and yet, it really does.

Stripes, floral, yellow & pink - Oh my! On the streets of NYC no less, or more, or less. Whatever. Sex and the City indeed!!!

SJP has always been a fashion forward sort of lass, and she has always done it with class, without a big _____ fill in your blank people, I bequeath it to you.

Thus we head into the weekend with a dose of sex, the city and SJP Freaky Friday fashion (say that three times fast) Life is De Groovy!

Hump Day & Chill

F#ck, Marry Or...???
James Spader
About last night I attended a retro screening of  Pretty in Pink up on the roof of The Montalban Theater in Hollywood - and I was reminded that The Blacklist star James Spader was once, well a hottie.

Once upon a time James was the go to guy in Hollywood if you wanted and sleazy, sexy and good looking villain for your teen film

One of his finest creations was monster Steff McKee in, duh, Pretty in Pink who was so jealous of his friend Blaine McDonagh's (Andrew McCarthy) relationship with High School misfit Andie Walsh (Molly Ringwald) that he tries to sabotage it.

Even though you love to hate Spader in the movie, he does ooze an oily charm and sex appeal that makes you want to "do" him as well.

Of course this got me thinking if my favorite go to site for Celebrity Skin of the male variety Tye Briggs Favorite Hunks & Other Things had any  nude shots of James. The answer is a resounding "Yes!" several of his supple booty and even a glimpse of his nether regions.

Now that's entertainment!

Bad Ass - Justin Trudeau

Human Rights
Justin Trudeau & Antoni Porowksi
When Rolling Stone Magazine ran the cover story on Justin Trudeau proclaiming "Why Can't He Be Our President?" I definitely felt the yearning for just that. America really does deserve someone, and something better than our current dictatorship.

"Yes" Trudeau is easy on the eyes too. Good looking and have you seen those images online, ya know the close ups of his supple bubble...OK I digress, his looks and booty are just a bonus.

Just when you thought Justin couldn't get any more bad ass witness him riding in the Montreal Pride Parade alongside Queer Eye star Antoni Porowski.

I'm not sure exactly what Canadians think of Trudeau's overall leadership, one thing is for sure he is obviously a Human Rights advocate and that is something I can get behind. Not like our current state of affairs where we have a leader who thinks no one should have any rights, except Straight Rich Caucasian Males.

I leave you with this Tuesday Thought -

Monday Motivation

Weight For It...I've Lost 50 lbs!
Michael Shinafelt
Happy Monday! Today I choose myself, "Yes" I am my own Monday Motivation. This weekend I attended a photo exhibit that I was in. By in, I mean a there was a photo of me nude at 180 lbs.

I chose to do this because I had ballooned to a whooping 213 lbs whilst I am only 5'7".  I was proud that I had gotten back to the 180 I was, yet I still knew there was further to go.

Sometimes life deals you a different hand than others. I have been quite candid on here about my 3 years of clinical depression & anxiety issues, and a life that could have been lived differently had said issues that affected me been recognized earlier.

This post is because I am proud! Proud of the person I have become, proud of the fact that I took myself off the anti-depressant I was on and have taken back my life.

Oh and let us never forget - toxic individuals beware, you have been, and will be dismissed.

This is a journey. While everyday is a challenge, it is worth all the effort! I wish you all the strength to make that effort. Trust me it's a tough nut to crack, one of which I have firsthand knowledge.

My weight loss was recently chronicled on Tye Briggs Favorite Hunks & Other Things via a series of nude photos.

Yep, you get me at 180, in my 170's and at 163 for that 50 lb total loss I bragged about  - I'm  planning on losing some more, but for now... This is my journey - what's yours? Know you are not alone, there are so many who are going through whatever you are, reach out. It's the best, not to mention nicest thing you can do for yourself : )

Click on the NSFW link of my journey below, if you like. As stated in my post I am 100% nude and I feel mighty real. Monday Motivation indeed!

Sunday Schwing!

It Takes Three
Daryl Hannah, Peter Gallagher & Valerie Quennessen
With Summer winding down I got to thinking about all the things I love about this time of year and one of them is of course guys in little to no clothing. I also flashed on one of my many actor crushes  from days of yore, actor Peter Gallagher who starred in one of my favorite movies about the season Summer Lovers.

Summer Lovers is a tale that goes like this:

"A young American couple and a French woman engage in a threesome in the Greek Islands."

Ahem, get why I like it now? Of course you do...!!!

The film co-starred Daryl Hannah as Gallagher's girlfriend and Valerie Quennessen as the third party.

Oh, one more thing, Peter who turns 63 today - Happy Birthday Mr! Also got naked in this triangle of love story. Front & back, and of course I got you the un-coverage via Tye Briggs Favorite Hunks & Other Things. You know I would not deny my minions, ever.

Now the time has come to Schwing, Schwing it good, join me won't you by clicking on the link below...

Sweet Release - Amethyst Journey

Jeremy & Alaska
Photo: Magnus Hastings
And the sky was made of amethyst...

World Famous drag star Alaska Thunderf*ck’s new musical group Alaska and Jeremy have officially released their debut album Amethyst Journey today via PEG Records, the LGBT-focused label of Producer Entertainment Group (PEG).  Alaska and Jeremy is the collaboration with her long-time musical partner Jeremy (Mikush).

Amethyst Journey is available via all digital retailers as well as Alaska and Jeremy’s website:

Amethyst Journey was meticulously crafted and molded with love and patience alongside producer Markaholic.  Jeremy and Ihave been making music together for over 9 years. After taking a retreat into the woods of the Russian River Valley to write, reflect, and commune with nature and one another, Amethyst Journey was born.

The album is a collection of songs that are a combination of our outlook and inspirations-- a response to current issues and the state of our planet.  We believe the LGBTIA+ community has a unique position to bridge collective misunderstandings and create positive change for humanity.

All of the songs were recorded in downtown Los Angeles with producer Markaholic.  We worked together along with Mark to craft and mold each track with love and patience.” said Alaska.

Entertainment Tonight premiered the first single & video, “Aliens” today.  “Aliens,” the album’s overture, is a folk music-based lullaby written for the people of Earth that asks the questions: What is the future we want?  Does the idea of extraterrestrial visitors come from a Savior complex... or an Armageddon complex?

Amethyst Journey: Track by Track commentary:

The album's overture, "Aliens" is a folk music-based lullaby written for the people of Earth that asks the questions: What is the future we want?  Does the idea of extraterrestrial visitors come from a Savior complex... or an Armageddon complex?

Truth in the Light

This song was originally released by Jeremy on his solo album, Somewhere In Between, and we re-recorded it together.  It's a song that addresses what happens when relationships grow and mutate.  Can we grow distant, yet still maintain some kind of heart connection?

So Far Gone

Being on the road and being away from our family and our loved ones is one of the most challenging parts of our work as artists.  The pain and release from those feelings of distance and longing and isolation is the inspiration for this song.

The Wind

This song is a pagan prayer and is an invocation that calls forth the four elements-- Air, Earth, Water, and Fire.

Son of a Mother

We all possess an X chromosome. What binds us all is that every one of us has a Mother.  This song worships the Divine Feminine, and cautions those who abuse or disrespect her power.

The End of the World

In our current climate of instant gratification, humanity needs perspective on large-scale change.  We've created a heavy metal theme song for the Apocalypse, drawing upon ancient perspectives on cosmic cycles. It leaves the door open and asks the questions:  Is this truly end of the world...  Does it have to be?

Originally inspired by the visual experience of being elevated and beamed up by an extraterrestrial space ship, "Ascension" evolved to become a sonic exploration of the ups and downs of the evolution of consciousness and spiritual transformation--it's a cosmic download!

At the End of the Day

The sister song to Alaska's "It Is What It Is," also from Jeremy's Somewhere in Between, it can be simultaneously played with "It Is What It Is" to create a symphonic experience influenced by Renaissance choral music and contemporary a cappella artists.

In addition, Alaska will continue touring throughout the world for the remainder of the year.  Tour Dates
