Tip Of The Day: Stay In Your Lane

Saw this on Instagram this morning whilst scrolling, straight outta Iman's page. It resonated with me and since sharing is caring here it is!

Stay in your own lane and mind your own business is what everyone should do. Unfortunately we live in a world where others scapegoat, project and deflect their sh!t onto those around them rather than accept responsibility for their own actions.

Be the hare you want to see in the world.

That's all...have a groovy week!!!

The Age Of Fake

Let's face it the world is topsy turvy presently, it's like were in some messed up other dimension where honesty is questioned and fake is believed above all.

It's time for the universe to reset itself into sane mode.

Meanwhile enjoy the BS!

That's all...

Hump Day & Chill

Feed Me!

Nothing says Hump Day & Chill like a shirtless hunk being fed grapes, so it is written and so it shall be, at least for today.

Life has been pretty stagnant of late, the world seems to have stopped. but we can still smell the roses.

When I saw this image I felt transported and calm. It fed a few fantasies of mine as well. OK, they really aren't fantasies, more like memories. Fluff up your pillow and dream about that one.

This is a perfect oasis for me and gives me all sorts of feels. You know what feels are, correct? Like tranquil, relaxed, groovy get the picture???

So I'm kicking my Hump Day & Chill off with this image in mind. It's giving me life at present and I hope you all get something from it as well.

Monday Motivation

If You're Happy & You Know It...
Matt Bomer

Wow! Just Wow! There is so much turmoil going on in the world I am, well, needing an oasis to escape to. Is there actually one available where my positive energy won't take a licking? Most likely not.

Thus my Monday  Motivation is finding things that make me happy today. Like this photo of Matt Bomer wearing next to nothing on the beach meditating. This is how I am starting off my Monday and now because of me, so are you.

As I navigate the journey that is today I am going to focus on everything that there is to be happy about, and pay it forward with good vibes only.

Seeing this image of delicious Matt looking oh so tranquil on a peaceful stretch of sand is a great kick off point.

It's giving me what I need right here, right now. Then when I move on with my day it will be time to find some other Monday Motivation to bring back the happy. I am up for the challenge, you???

Who's the Happy Monkey? Why you are, duh!

" A Nation Stands In Need..."

"Where Truth Is The Enemy..."
Jay Jacobson

The byline are the lyrics I am fixated on from Jay Jacobson's latest single These Troubled Times. If you have to ask why, you really haven't been paying attention to the world around you the last few days.

You may recall the interview I did with Jay when the single first dropped, if not, hit the link below:

Jay just dropped a hauntingly beautiful and evocative video to accompany the song of our times.

Hit it after the jump! Stay at home and stay safe 💓

Happy Easter Lockdown

It's All An Illusion...
Michael Shinafelt

My name is Michael, I'll be your Easter Bunny today, give it up do as I say, give it up and let me have my eggs...

This is my current Easter Mood, black & white, with the beautiful Los Angeles skyline in the background and a mysterious bunny, that is symbolizing who knows what?

While times are uncertain, there is still beauty in the world and this captures all of that and more, depending on what you take from it.

Honestly I felt like Frank the bunny from Donnie Darko when this was shot. However I don't believe the world is that bleak, I always choose the ray of light over the darkness. That doesn't mean I don't have my moments, I am realistic, but my will and belief in the good of others is strong.

Wishing you and yours the best.

Happy Easter from Michael Bunny!

Tunesday Tuesday!

No Explanation Needed

Today I celebrate one of my favorite bands evuh! That's correct minions time to take out the trash and bring on the Garbage!

I have seen them and heard them in concert at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, CA  - they were real and spectacular. Front woman Shirley Manson's vocals are the bomb!

So, here comes one of my favorite songs (actually all of their songs are my favorites) that really hits a home run as to what's happening now in the world.

"Yes" I, like all of us do, sometimes  "I Think I'm Paranoid" - well, seriously. Hey given everything that's happening now. I rest my case.

Mic Drop... "You can look but you can't touch, I don't think I like you much, Heaven knows what a girl can do, Heaven knows what you've got to prove"

Hit the timely video after the jump, yeah, I said jump.

Monday Motivation

Seeing Red
Meghan Markle & Prince Harry

With all the chaos in the world I thought we needed some Monday Motivation today that would represent and spread some joy. Thus when I stumbled upon this photo of the "Artist Formerly Known As Prince" Harry and Meghan Markle at the Mountbatten Festival of Music, I knew I have struck MM gold!

Because, let's face it, life is tough, that's just the way it is. These two are going trough their emancipation from the Royal Family at present and publicly so they are pretty much a unifying symbol of that.

Yet, those matching vibrant red ensembles are enough to put a smile on anyone's face 😀

Perseverance is the word for this Monday. Everyone of us has the strength to deal with life's adversities.

So put on your personal "vibrant red" and go out into the world and seize the day!

Friday Fun!

Never Worn White
Katy Perry

With all the intense things going on in the world, I thought we all deserved to take some time out!

"Yes" its time for celebrity news that is fun and will bring a smile to your face 😊 If not, at least it will not agitate you.

Thus the biggest celeb news happening is Katy Perry revealing via the video for her latest ditty Never Worn White that she is pregnant by husband to be, Orlando Bloom. Can I get an Awwwwwwww...? I thought I could.

Perry is relieved the secret, until now, bun in the oven is out, as she is reportedly tired of sucking in her gut. OK, obviously I am not a woman and will never be pregnant, but it seems with a baby on board you really couldn't suck in your gut, but who knows, I could be wrong, and most likely am???

Anyway, Katy Perry announced the happy event in true, well, Katy Perry style by revealing her bump in the video to the world. Now that's a birth announcement!

Good one Perry! Congrats to the happy couple! See the big reveal after the jump...

Just Because...Christina Hendricks

Streets of Fire!
Christina Hendricks

Just Because I am a big fan of the show Mad Men, Just Because she looks fabulous & Just Because she is painting the town red, here's Christina Hendricks on the streets of NYC!!!

While I believe they ended the show Mad Men when the should of, with what I thought was a brilliant series finale. I still lament the fact that it's gone. I loved it so much!

All of the characters were so interesting, even if they weren't particularly likable.

Christina Hendricks portrayed one of my faves Joan Holloway. "Joanie" as she was often referred to on the show, was well dare I say it, always the smartest person in the room. She was in control of who she was and pretty much controlled everyone else. She knew how to leverage her considerable sex appeal to her advantage, while still maintaining her dignity.

Not things were not always smooth sailing for "Joanie" she always managed to keep herself together.

I wonder how "Joanie" would navigate today's world, being as it is way different. I believe she was the type of woman who would know how to work any situation in any time and place. Thus she would handle today's world like an expert, business as usual, carry on.

World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day
Annie Lennox

It's World AIDS Day today - this is to remember as well as search for a cure. While having HIV does not mean you will contract AIDS and people on medication can live healthy lives thanks to Western Medicine. There are many parts of the world that isn't true.

This day is to remember and never forget those who came before us and were ravaged by the disease and did not have the scientific advances we have today. It is also to know that in some countries it is still and epidemic.

Thus I bring you one if my favorite Divas & Activists Ms. Annie Lennox who works tirelessly to find a cure. Hit the video for he song Sing below that addresses it.

Remember everyone is going through something, try to be kind to one another...

Come On Get Happy!

Happiness Is...
Lizzo

"Hello world, here's a song that we're singin', C'mon get happy, A whole lotta lovin' is what we'll be bringin', We'll make you happy" - Come On Get Happy, The Partridge Family

Today I am channeling Lizzo celebrating her sister's Birthday from the happiest place on earth, Disneyland! I was there just two weeks ago and had a grand time, and "Yes" like Lizzo, I got happy!

With all the strife going on in the world around us, please remember to do the one thing that counts most, make yourself and others smile, everyone, smiles.

It doesn't cost a thing and it feels good for all parties involved. Lizzo personally makes me smile every time I see her do anything. Thus I hereby decree Lizzo the mascot for getting happy.

Enjoy your day 100% minions...!

Kissing Strangers?

Just Because it's what the world needs now, why don't we all show some love to each other. "Yes" that's correct reach out and touch somebody's _____ fill in the blank, Just Because...

Bear witness to America Ferrera showing love to Judith Light at Superstore For Your Consideration Press Line in Hollywood.

What brought on this random act of affection? No one knows but when America crossed paths with Judith she decided to show some love to her. It doesn't really matter why. It's the act and thought that counts.

So get out there and show some love today to someone. "No" you don't have to kiss them like America there are plenty of other ways to do so.

Today's fun loving bomb comes courtesy of Busy Philipps, ya know Michelle Williams BFF. Along with her caption: “World’s greatest/most beautiful photo bomber" - that would be a reference to one Ms. Salma Hayek.

New Year, New...

You Make Me Feel, Mighty Real
Michael Shinafelt

Well it's here, New Year's Eve has arrived! 2018 here we come! So let's cut to the chase, if there is one completely asinine NYE sentiment it has to be: "New Year, New Me" - Ummmmmmm, OK how in the F#ck is that going to happen?!

The things going on with you from last year aren't going to magically disappear at the stroke of midnight, they will carry over. Not to mean that is a bad thing, it simply means you are still going to be you. Sure you can work to improve yourself, in many ways like your health, taking a class and learning something new or being the change you want to see in the world. But new you, WTF?!

All we can do is the best we can by constantly striving to become our authentic selves in service to a better world to inhabit. Thus I never make New Year's resolutions they are only a recipe for failure and I am constantly working on bettering my world all year long.

Basically all NYE means is it's a different year. Nothing more.

Happy 2018 and may you you strive to become a better you everyday!

Just Because...Unicorns

Team Unicorn
Selena Gomez

Just Because she is so adorable, just because she has a Unicorn sweater on & just because well why the hell not. Here is a fun image of one Ms. Selena Gomez sporting a sweater with the mascot for pure imagination on it, a Unicorn.

For some reason I enjoy seeing Unicorns in the many forms they manifest themselves into our collective consciousness. Selena Gomez wearing a Unicorn sweater out and about in Los Angeles is no exception.

Personally I wished the mythic animal were real, could you imagine how much more fun life would be? Seriously, they would add some much needed light to a world that really needs more levity.

So be the Unicorn you want to see in the world today!

Ciao!
