Michael's Musings

Michael Shinafelt
"Lift Your Wings and Show Them How Much Hell an Angel Can Cause" - Wisteria Andrews

"Yes" this quote is the perfect summary as to what kind of angel I would be, and quite frankly am. Don't let those wings and the look of serenity fool you. Thus it's time to see how much Hell I can cause, ready set, wings in lift position and take off!!!

Mike Clifford's "Wonderful World"

In The Director's Seat
Mike Clifford
Yesterday I had the extreme pleasure of being part of former Teen Idol Mike Clifford's video for his upcoming cover of the Louis Armstrong classic What A Wonderful World. Mike as you may recall is most famous for his Top 10 hit Close To Cathy. The video is for the dance version which will keep you shaking your fucking booty and be stuck in your head forever.

For those of you who like to take things slower there will also be a ballad version available too. The shoot was a joyous occasion and has a cameo from Jay London of Last Comic Standing fame.

Let's get to it, check out the images from the shoot and remember what a wonderful world we live in!

TBT: "Bend & Snap"

Bend & Snap
Reese Witherspoon

Just when you couldn't feel any older than you do, Reese Witherspoon is here to remind you, you are. Yeah, thanks a lot, Reese!

Reese's star vehicle Legally Blonde is now fifteen years old, that's like over one hundred in dog years. She took to her Instagram and Snap Chat to remind everyone of that by recreating costumes and scenes from the movie. She also reminded us of Elle Woods flirtatious "Bend & Snap" move she taught the lovelorn Jennifer Coolidge in the film.

I Want To Go To Harvard
Reese Witherspoon
While completely formulaic, LB is one of the funniest comedy's I have ever seen thanks in no small part to Witherspoon's spot on performance. Not to mention a juicy little cameo by Raquel Welch, just to let you know how truly old I am...

Enjoy the photos of Reese paying homage to the film that made her a star.

Happy Throwback Thursday

Keeping Up With Kesha

Kesha on "Nashville"
Despite her legal woes that keep her from making new music, Kesha Rose is keeping plenty busy with, drum roll please....acting gigs!

Earlier in the TV season she annoyed Jane on Jane The Virgin as her not so quiet musical neighbor. She will also be making a cameo on Nashville as who else? Herself, the latter half of it's current season.

While I do no purport to know anything about the sexual abuse allegations Kesha has fired at Dr. Luke. I do know that obviously the situation is not a workable one. Kesha is a grown ass woman and should be able to decide what is best for her and her musical output.

Kesha should be allowed to create in an environment free from fear and intimidation, whatever the details of that might be.

See you on Nashville grrrrrrrrrrl!

American Horror Story: Funny Girls?

Barbra and me. What a completely amazing woman. #Funnygirls
Is It Really Funny? Time Will Tell...

Things are heating up on the American Horror Story: Hotel set in a seemingly cryptic post on her Instagram, Lady Gaga released this photo with the abovementioned caption.

While both of these women are totes on the amazing scale, it gives one pause to wonder...is the ultimate diva Ms. Barbara Streisand going to be making a cameo on this AHS season of Hotel?

Or did she simply drop by the set to visit since it was in her neighborhood to show her respect to the new generation of Diva, Lady Gaga, passing the torch? The brain does wander and wonder.

Respect between two mega stars? Or co-stars in love?

Time will tell...

Kim Richards Out

Get Well Kim
Kim Richards is no longer a regular on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

She may make a cameo or two, but...while I could be snide about this I choose not to. Leave that to people who have no lives.

This actually makes me sad. I grew up with Kim, she was in one of my favorite films of all time Escape to Witch Mountain.

Let's not berate her for her transgressions. How about sending out some love in hope she gets her life back together.

Sweetie Darling: Absolutely Fabulous The Movie

"Sweetie, don't you need some help, or something?"

Saffy: Where are you going?
Edina: New York.
Saffy: I didn't think they let people with drug convictions in.
Edina: Darling, it's not a conviction.
Patsy: Just a firm belief!

Get ready it's time to celebrate with a shot and a line, more news comes from Jennifer Saunders regarding the Absolutely Fabulous feature film and it goes something like this...

Sometime earlier this year, Saunders confirmed that she had started writing the script for an Absolutely Fabulous movie. With a release aimed for the end of 2015. Well she recently made another announcement regarding it, that is a awesome news to fans like myself.

Saunders has leaked that the show’s original cast will be back to play their roles in the film, and hopefully every star who made a cameo appearance in the show’s five-season run will appear as well.  “I haven’t got the storyline completely sorted out yet,” she said, “but I want to cast everyone who has ever been in the show in it.”
Have A Drink, Kate Moss

Wow! So hopefully we will get to see the likes of: Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Helena Bonham Carter and Sir Elton John, bringing their fabulous selves back to the film!

Y-e-s!!!

Time for another celebratory shot and a line, Woo Hoo! I am looking forward to an Absolutely Fabulous 2015!
