 <sup>Matt Nathanson’s new album Show Me Your Fangs – his tenth studio recording – delves deeper and further into the complexities and observations of everyday life than any of his previous albums. Songs such as “Giants,” “Bill Murray,” “Adrenaline,” “Washington State Fight Song,” and the title track tell vivid stories touching on the overall theme of self-identity and how we choose to reveal ourselves. These vignettes are all offered wrapped in richer, musical textures with Nathanson’s signature seductive hooks. In as much as these songs have a solemn message, leave it to Nathanson to offer the perfect counter balance with the album’s new single “Gold  In The Summertime” with its sultry ‘70s soul groove.

To celebrate the release of Show Me Your Fangs, Matt Nathanson will kick off an acoustic North American fall tour beginning September 28th in Boston, MA through October 30th in San Diego, CA. Full list of tour dates below. Tickets go on sale Friday, July 31st and each ticket purchased will include a download of Show Me Your Fangs upon release.

Matt shares, “I’m heading out on a super intimate, acoustic North American club tour this fall. After the last few summers of playing big places (which has ruled, btw), and bashing it out with electric guitars, I’ve been missing just playing acoustic guitar and telling stories. So, I’m leaving the rhythm section at home and Aaron [Tap] and I are gonna bust out for the month of October, troubadour-style.”

Singer-songwriter Matt Nathanson will be featured on the Lifetime TV series Celebrity Bucket List this Saturday, March 8^th at 8:30am ET/PT (check local listings for additional times across the U.S.).  In this episode—taped in his hometown of San Francisco—Nathanson fulfills one of his lifelong dreams, meeting iconic singer Chris Isaak. This episode of Celebrity Bucket List is the latest in the series that offers celebrities the opportunity to experience doing something they’ve always wanted to do. Nathanson recently had the opportunity to cross another item off his “bucket List” when he made a guest appearance on VH1’s That Metal Show. A diehard fan of the metal genre, Nathanson joined hosts Eddie Trunk, Don Jamieson and Jim Florentine to share his knowledge and love of all things metal. Following his appearance on Celebrity Bucket List, Matt Nathanson will be going overseas to play sold out dates for his first headlining UK tour. His latest album Last Of the Great Pretenders features the song "Heart Starts," the catchy theme to Celebrity Bucket List, as well as the hit single “Kinks Shirt”— which is seeing continued success at radio, currently #28 and climbing on the HAC chart after already hitting Top 15 at Triple A radio.  “Kinks Shirt” is also being heard on America’s Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest, The Billy Bush Show and Rick Dee’s Countdown.

 Acclaimed singer/songwriter Matt Nathanson has just premiered his new video “Kinks Shirt” from his current release LAST OF THE GREAT PRETENDERS on ROLLINGSTONE.COM. The clip, directed by and featuring comedian Bobcat Goldthwait, was filmed in various places in Los Angeles, including the strip club Cheetah’s.  Matt shares:

Dancing With The Stars: Get Yourself Some Matt Nathanson

Occasionally I have found a random reason to tune in to a portion of the show they call "Dancing With The..."Stars".


That would be the times they had an actual star on it...the lovely and super sweet, Pamela Anderson, who I have had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing. The amazing Margaret Cho, who I have interviewed several times and know - and of course the awesome Kirstie Alley, who I, sadly do not know, nor have I ever interviewed her, Hey Kirstie if you are reading this, contact me! Well here is another reason to watch on March 27th get yourself some Matt Nathanson...Woot!


March 20, 2012 - MATT NATHANSON is scheduled to perform on the premiere of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show, ” Tuesday, March 27th (9:00- 10:00 p.m. ET/PT).

NATHANSON’S performance on DANCING WITH THE STARS comes in the midst of his North American tour with Kelly Clarkson and his headlining 2012 ‘All Night Noise’ tour.

Since the release of his latest album, Modern Love, Nathanson has performed on numerous television shows including Jimmy Kimmel, Leno, Conan, Rachael Ray, VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live and The Bachelor to name a few. He has appeared on Howard Stern and nationally syndicated radio programs such as Billy Bush, Kidd Kraddick and Fox All Access. He also participated in the recent TEDx conference joining some of the world’s top speakers on a panel discussing the creative process.
