This photo that I spotted on Pamela Anderson's Instagram spoke to me immediately, not sure exactly why, yet it did.
Something about Pam and a gnome in the woods captured my Current Mood which at present is whimsical.
I've been feeling the world of possibilites has opened up of late. There's a freshness in the energy that surrounds things that make them seem new again. When you see things through a different lens it's truly amazing how much more depth of perspective you have on it.
Thus Ms. Anderson and her magical gnome really struck where I am right here, right now.
Hola Minions, do I have the perfect Hump Day & Chill recommend. Yesterday I watched the Netflix documentary Pamela, A Love Story about icon Pamela Anderson.
The tagline sums the it all up perfectly: She defined a decade. Now she will define herself.
I have interviewed and hung out with Pamela and this is my takeaway from it:
"This documentary is so Pam, she is a lovely person with no pretense. Really nice."
Seriously you should watch it, you will come away with my take on her. I remember telling people how great she was and them giving me a perplexed look. Then one day I was at a party and an acquaintance of mine had guest starred on her sitcom Stacked and mentioned how awesome she is. We swapped Pam stories and he said everyone always looks at him puzzled as well when he speaks fondly of her as well. It was nice to meet someone who knows and understands.
Well, what are you waiting for?! You have a documentary to Hump Day & Chill too!!!
Recognize this pic of Pamela Anderson circa the Barb Wire era? Well, wait for it, this is actually Lily James from the upcoming Hulu limited series Pam & Tommy. The story is set to revolve around her and Tommy Lee's (Sebastian Stan) whirlwind romance and sex tape scandal.
When I initially heard of this project I was like meh. But then I found out that the eight episode series is being directed by Craig Gillespie of I, Tonya fame. Now I am excited as I, Tonya took the bio-pic format and gave it a triple axel.
If the end result of Pam & Tommy is anywhere near as entertaining, well we the audience are in for a real treat!
BTW - while Lily James bears an at a glance resemblance to Anderson, she sure is giving Pamela Anderson Vibes in the stills I have seen thus far. "Yes" I have interviewed Ms. Anderson so I do have something other than media impressions to base this on.
As you can see I am trying my best to get into the Holiday mood, it's been a tough year for us all, thus it's the least I could do.
With Christmas a mere 14 days away I thought I would continue what I started on Hump Day with Jared Leto. That's correct Minions, it's Sexy Santa time again in the form of Pamela Anderson.
Nothing says sexy, or sex for that matter quite like Pam. She's sure to put some pep in your something today as you toil away the hours until a scant two weeks from today.

Being that it was a magazine for gay men I had to pose the inevitable question: If you were gay for a day would you be a man or a woman? She of course said "man" My follow up question? What would you do as a gay man? She stated: I would know how to give a better blow job. There you have it, mic drop. Pam was a lot of fun and sweet as can be. Bet you'd never thought you would see this combo of three names together? Frankly, neither did I, but in the good ole biz of show these days I also know anything goes. Oh yes, let me spill exactly how these three appear in the same headline. Pamela Anderson stars in a sci-fi short by Luke Gilford, bearing the title Connected. Which also features narration by Jane Fonda and music by Jake Shears. Got it? Here is what filmmaker/photographer Gilford has to say about it: “’Connected’ is a portrait of a woman grappling with aging, self-perception, and transformation in a technologically optimized world,” Gilford explains on his website. “Jackie (Pamela Anderson) is … obsessed with self-improvement tapes (voiced by Jane Fonda), and she is soon drawn to an advanced yet enigmatic wellness spa that promises to enhance her mind, body, and soul.” The short is quite effective and shows Ms. Anderson in a whole new light, as someone who is yearning for something different than what she has been pigeonholed as. And boy is it ever! Here are some pix of Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron from the set of the currently filming Baywatch Movie. The word is this time around BW is a straight forward comedy, rather than the unintentional one it actually was. It's humor will also be distinctly R-Rated...well that sounds enticing. While no one can ever duplicate Pamela Anderson's iconic run down the beach, this round Baywatch has some serious man candy in the form of Johnson and Efron to compensate. Hey, no matter your sexual preference you've gotta admit, these two are 100% Beef! The former Rock took to his Instagram with this comment about his Co-Star Efron: "#BAYWATCH Day 1. My character "Mitch Buchannon" just gave @zacefron's character "Matt Brody" the all important beach speech about what it means to have manly "Alpha balls". Zac's ad-libbed responses were brilliant! So as the world probably knows, OK for sure they know. Pamela Anderson will appear as the cover model and pictorial for the last nude issue of the iconic magazine Playboy. Yeah, don't ask me why they are ending their wonderful balance between class & sass some financial expert must have advised Hugh Hefner on that. Best Wishes.
Let's get back to Pamela. In my estimation Playboy hailed the official queen of that magazine. The most perfect cover model/icon ever and someone who I greatly respect as a person.
Why you ask? Because I have interacted with her. "Yes" I did an interview with her for Instinct Magazine, for the now defunct column: The Chick We'd Switch For.
She was charming, sweet and very giving during our chat on the phone. She then invited me down to her book signing for Star, which she co-wrote. At The West Hollywood Book Fair. She loves her gays and it was an invitation I gladly accepted.
I was V.I.P. before anyone else, yeah hate me I didn't have to wait in line. She was sweet, remembered me from our phone conversation and even personalized a copy of Star with an autograph dedicated specifically to my Mom ( I gave it to her as a Christmas gift that year.)

OPERATION TROOP AID HONORS KID ROCK WITH 2014 "PATRIOT AWARD"
I've always knew who Kid Rock was, a successful Rock Star who was in a relationship with one of my favorite people & interview subjects, Pamela Anderson. However I had never heard his music... That was until my friend, publicist extraordinaire, Ken Phillips gave me one of his CD's. Listening to Kid Rock's music for the first time was a religious experience that made me a fan for life. Operation Troop Aid(OTA), a nonprofit organization which supports U.S. Troops, honored award-winning, multi-platinum selling humanitarian Kid Rock, last week in Nashville, Tennessee, with the 2014 Operation Troop Aid “Patriot Award.”
Presented annually by OTA to celebrities that champion the men and women serving in the American Armed Forces, the rock star was awarded the Eagle Trophy for his countless endeavors to support troops overseas and at local hospitals and for supporting numerous military charities. Well known for his role as an American Patriot, Kid Rock, has performed at various military bases and continues to meet military personnel at every concert appearance.

"He really gets it… Last year, Kid Rock challenged his fans to help raise money to send care packages to the troops. Two of my favorite things, Morrissey & Pamela Anderson have joined forces for the video "Earth is the Loneliest Planet" a spoken word piece by the big M himself.
I encountered Morrissey once at The Viper Room in Los Angeles when he was there to see a band that I was there to see Girl in a Coma, an all female group with a name that "yes" was a homage to the Morrissey song "Girlfriend in a Coma" thus it made for an overall too cool for school evening.
Also I have interviewed the delightful Ms. Anderson for Instinct magazine when it was good for a great column they used to have "The Chick We'd Switch For."
When I posed the question "If you were gay for one day would you want that experience to be as a man or a woman?"
She enthusiastically said "A man . I have so many gay male friends and hear so many great stories."
To which I replied "What would you want to do as a gay man?"
Pamela quipped "If I was a gay man I would know how to give a better blow job ."
This is verbatim as I just transcribed it from a copy of the magazine with my interview in it.

pigs...and while we are on the subject, Corinne Dekker is here for
your entertainment, yes she of the guinea pig fetish – she is Ms.
Charo Pickles, Celebriguinea extraordinaires Mom and assistant to one
Ms. Jennie Garth on “A Little Bit Country” not to mention a
comedian, actress and accomplished vlogger - The Canadian born Ms.
Dekker is here to tell us: just how many licks does it take to get to
the center of an udder?...OK Corinne, we're waiting...!
CD: I know I dialed the wrong number, I
could not find where I placed the other one.
MS: You were prompt though, that's all
that matters. Most people are, only a few times has “late” really
happened, one of those times was when I interviewed Pamela Anderson.
CD: Really how late was she?
MS: She ended up being a half hour
late.
CD: That's not too bad.
MS: No, it wasn't and she was really
busy at the time. The funny part is once I got her on the phone I had
to cut her off at some point because I was running behind schedule.
She is the nicest woman, I loved her!
CD: It's because she is Canadian, we're
all like that.
MS: Oh, you're Canadian too!
CD: Yes, all of us are nice, except for
maybe Bill Murray. (laughs)
MS: So, let's talk “A Little Bit
Country” - I was loving the udder episode. I can't believe you
thought you needed to suck on a cows udder to get milk out of it!
CD: “A Little Bit Country” was a
real reality show...um, that whole bet with Jennie, where I had to
suck the cows udder if that was not the only way to get milk out of
one, I'm embarrassed to say, I did believe that.
MS: That was my next question, if you
really believed that.
CD: Well it turns out my Mom thinks she
probably told me that to make me drink milk as a kid, I don't know
what. (laughs) I still kind of believe it, if the milk is stopped
up that you should do that...it was legitimate so I clamped my mouth down on that udder, I
keep my bets.
MS: Udder sucking works, obviously,
but it isn't really necessary. (laughs)
CD: No, but there are worse things in
life than sucking a cows udder. (laughs)
MS: So I watched your latest vlog, I
liked the Piglympics and I know you have a thing for Guinea Pigs.
CD: They are the most lovely little
creatures.
MS: Yes, Charo Pickles is the
Celebriguinea of the group.

CD: She is the celebrity, she has a
Twitter and a Facebook page. She has fans of her own that are
independent of mine.
MS: Why the name Charo Pickles?
CD: Charo was my first guinea pig baby
and she has the same coloring as the actual Charo. Plus she makes
squeaky noises, like when Charo goes “Coochie, Coochie”. Then,
honestly I love dill pickles, so I thought, when you say it fast,
Charo Pickles, sounds like, jar of pickles. She will glare at me if I
only say Charo or if I just say pickles, so I always have to address
her as: Charo Pickles.
MS: You and I should go out sometime.
CD: Perfect! You like guys and I like
guinea pigs. (laughs) That could be a problem. (laughs)
MS: Getting back to bets and dares, your sushi dare was mega gross!
CD: I told Jennie about that. Yeah I
went for sushi and I don't really love sushi...
MS: It's not my favorite either.
CD: I mean it's fine, but...I ordered
the most disgusting looking sushi on the menu and it had a texture
like paint, it was just gross.
MS: Yeah, I am not a huge fan of sushi
either and never understood what people see in it. I mean I can eat
it, but I never suggest that me and my friends go and have sushi.
CD: Michael think about this, maybe we
are doppelgangers, maybe you are the male homosexual me and I am the
female Canadian you.
MS: Hmmmmmmmmmm....you may be onto something, Ms. Dekker.
CD: Well I feel the same way about
sushi and that makes something else we have in common.
MS: The last time I went for sushi was
about four years ago for someone's Birthday and me and a friend of
his threw Sashimi at him, of course we were drinking saki.
CD: Those were expensive airplanes!
(laughs)
MS: You were on “Ugly Betty” when
the show was actually good.
CD: I was on the second episode, and I
am to blame for the demise of it, if they had brought my character
back like they said they would, perhaps it would still be running.
(laughs)
MS: Also you were on “How I Met Your
Mother” I can't believe that show has been running that long.
CD: Yeah, what's it been on eleven
seasons? I remember when it was pretty new and me and my friends were
like: “That's a weird title, it will never work”. That was back
in the day when sitcoms did not have these epic long titles. (laughs)
It wasn't like “Everybody Loves Raymond”.
MS: That was a show I never understood.
CD: Oh I loved it, maybe you can help
me, I want to go on a date with Brad Garrett. I met him once and he
called me pretty.
MS: Funny?
CD: No, pretty, and I thought: “let's
make out” ! He's single now and I'm single, we wouldn't even have
to make babies because I don't want them. I'm single and ready to
mingle. I'm not sure who you know, but get me some Brad Garrett.
MS: I don't really have a celebrity
crush.
CD: Well it's not like I have a picture
of him on my wall, I just want to go on a date with him.

Occasionally I have found a random reason to tune in to a portion of the show they call "Dancing With The..."Stars".
That would be the times they had an actual star on it...the lovely and super sweet, Pamela Anderson, who I have had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing. The amazing Margaret Cho, who I have interviewed several times and know - and of course the awesome Kirstie Alley, who I, sadly do not know, nor have I ever interviewed her, Hey Kirstie if you are reading this, contact me! Well here is another reason to watch on March 27th get yourself some Matt Nathanson...Woot!
March 20, 2012 - MATT NATHANSON is scheduled to perform on the premiere of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show, ” Tuesday, March 27th (9:00- 10:00 p.m. ET/PT).
NATHANSON’S performance on DANCING WITH THE STARS comes in the midst of his North American tour with Kelly Clarkson and his headlining 2012 ‘All Night Noise’ tour.
Since the release of his latest album, Modern Love, Nathanson has performed on numerous television shows including Jimmy Kimmel, Leno, Conan, Rachael Ray, VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live and The Bachelor to name a few.
