When I was a young impressionable gay boy I remember being fascinated, no make that fixated on Playgirl Magazine. For the uninitiated Playgirl was a magazine featuring articles like Playboy, but unlike Playboy the nude photo spreads were of men, not women, showing the Full Monty. I used to wonder about the guys who posed for those spreads. Who they really were and how they felt about the whole thing. Much to my delight while surfing Tye Briggs Favorite Hunks & Other Things I came across quite a few follow-up interviews with former Playgirl models who have bared it all for the world to enjoy. One interview in particular caught my interest, I think it had a lot to do with the model being straight as many models for Playgirl were gay men. It is from a layout done in 1975 with a then nineteen year old Gene Carter. Gene did the chat with Tye in January of 2011 - it is a fascinating piece on a man in his 50's looking back on getting naked for an international magazine. So it's time for a retro Hump Day & Chill minions, click on the link below and get to it! https://favoritehunks.blogspot.com/2011/01/1975.html
Did the byline titillate you? Perhaps arouse you? Or at least make you curious? Well here is stud Jon Hamm to talk about sex. Sort of, while catching a wave on the WWW I found Hamm addressing his sex scene in Bridesmaids via People Magazine and since I love me a slice of Hamm I had to read more! Well he did not disappoint. He delivered exactly the type of answer you'd expect from a guy who oozes S-E-X... File this under Enjoyable: "While Jon Hamm admits it was awkward filming his sex scene with Kristen Wiig in the 2012 comedy Bridesmaids (especially since he had to wear a "flesh-colored thong"), he also kind of … well, enjoyed it. "It's like running in the rain. There's a certain point where you go, 'Fuck it, I'm already wet. I'm not going to get any less wet so I might as well enjoy how this feels,'" he told Playboy." (text People Magazine) Hows that for some Saturday Sizzle? Thought so! Jon on Twitter: https://twitter.com/JonMHamm
Whatever your take on Real Housewife of Beverly HillsLisa Rinna is, I think we can all agree on one thing, the woman has chutzpah! Recently during some down time in her hotel room Rinna decided to take a nude selfie and post it on Instagram. Then she had second thoughts and took it down, then she did what Lisa does, put it back up with the caption: “It’s back, I got scared then I said I’m 53 — zero f--ks given! Cheers to @playboy for going back to nudes. The female body is so beautiful, every size and every age. Be proud! #thefemalebodyisbeautiful #allshapesandsizes #loveyourself #loveyourbody.” Yes, Lisa is 53 and she looks amazing, quite inspiring I must say. If this is what putting Xanax in your smoothies does I'm going to start that regime pronto! It's Tuesday, and aren't you happy?! Lisa on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lisarinna/?hl=en
So as the world probably knows, OK for sure they know. Pamela Anderson will appear as the cover model and pictorial for the last nude issue of the iconic magazine Playboy. Yeah, don't ask me why they are ending their wonderful balance between class & sass some financial expert must have advised Hugh Hefner on that. Best Wishes.
Let's get back to Pamela. In my estimation Playboy hailed the official queen of that magazine. The most perfect cover model/icon ever and someone who I greatly respect as a person.
Why you ask? Because I have interacted with her. "Yes" I did an interview with her for Instinct Magazine, for the now defunct column: The Chick We'd Switch For.
She was charming, sweet and very giving during our chat on the phone. She then invited me down to her book signing for Star, which she co-wrote. At The West Hollywood Book Fair. She loves her gays and it was an invitation I gladly accepted.
I was V.I.P. before anyone else, yeah hate me I didn't have to wait in line. She was sweet, remembered me from our phone conversation and even personalized a copy of Star with an autograph dedicated specifically to my Mom ( I gave it to her as a Christmas gift that year.)
Below I hope you can read it, is my interview with Ms. Anderson.
Tony Palmer's 1973 Film About Hugh Hefner, The Founder and
Editor of Playboy, to be released on October 21
Hugh Hefner & Playboy are pretty tame by today's sex tape society, but he will always have a place in the history of the world as a pioneer & visionary -
The quote below that states this little opus is as "distasteful as one might have expected" clearly reviewed it in 1973 when it was released, raise a glass here's some ass!
"A brilliant, thoroughly good humoured and subtle dissection of an extraordinary man
by a master film maker." - The Times
This 1973 documentary by the award-winning director Tony Palmer shone a light on the multi-millionaire Hugh Hefner and his Playboy empire. It gave Hefner the opportunity to tell his story and, of course, it offended the usual suspects - Mary Whitehouse, the Daily Express and many more. The film charts Hefner's rise from a small-time publisher to Playboy becoming one of the world's best known brands.
As Hefner says: "We had no money at all, and I mean literally no money. I doubt that any major magazine in our time has ever been started with as little initial investment. My own investment in Playboy was $600, all of it borrowed. The entire enterprise is now valued, in 1973, at something around $200 million."
He continues: "The real essence of Playboy was trying to put not just sex, but the whole notion of play and pleasure, back into the American concept of living. And that proved to be a little more revolutionary than I realized when I started."
The 53-minute film will be available on DVD on October 21st via MVD Entertainment Group.
"As distasteful as one might have expected."
- The Daily Express
"It blatantly flouted TV's legal obligation not to offend against good taste and decency"
Here it comes all you hardcore John Lennon, Yoko Ono and Beatles fans - it's the transition from being one of the Beatles to being a revolutionary, all the dish straight from John Lennon and Yoko Ono themselves...
This eight CD box set features John Lennon & Yoko Ono's five iconic conversations with Village Voice journalist and radio personality Howard Smith. These in-depth discussions about music, love, creativity, peace and politics illuminate the couple's transformation from Beatles into revolutionaries.
These interviews have been mastered from Smith's original audio recordings, which had been buried in the back of his West Village loft for 40 years. Never before released on CD.
May 28 - 29, 1969 - Live phone interview, the Bed-In Montreal (35 min)
Smith speaks on the phone with John & Yoko, who are in their suite at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal. Among other things, they discuss selling Peace as a commodity, the Activist Movement, and Lennonʼs denial of being, nor intention of being, a leader.
Dec. 17, 1969 - Ronnie Hawkinʼs Ranch, Ontario Canada (89 min)
Smith traveled to Ronnie Hawkinʼs Ranch outside of Toronto to interview John & Yoko. While eating shrimp tempura, they discuss the ins and outs of recording with the Beatles, the bandʼs uncertain future, Woodstock vs. Altamont, and the impact of the Youth Movement.
Dec. 12, 1970 - Regency Hotel, NYC (86 min)
Smith interviews John & Yoko the day after the Plastic Ono Band albums are released, and they are in the midst of shooting 2 art films. They discuss the emotional process of their music including specific songs from the albums, their time in Janov therapy, how they handle fame, and whether the Beatles will ever get back together.
Sept. 9, 1971 - St. Regis Hotel, NYC (71 min)
Smith interviews John & Yoko on the day Lennonʼs album Imagine is released. They discuss the album, Onoʼs upcoming artist retrospective, Paulʼs, Georgeʼs and Ringoʼs own individual albums, the mediaʼs criticisms of their relationship, Johnʼs "working class" nature, and future plans.
Jan. 23, 1972 - The Lennonsʼ Bank St. apartment, NYC (86 min)
Smith drops by John & Yokoʼs West Village apartment on the day of a WPLJ Beatles marathon which can be heard at times playing in the background, often inspiring and directing the conversation. They discuss the experience of being a Beatle (and a Beatle wife) and the break up, stage fright and the emotional rollercoaster of performing, breakthroughs acquired in Janov therapy, love, and Revolution.

Berlin based performance artist, Clea Cutthroat is an "Entertain Me" favorite as you may recall when she responded to this writer's "10 Random Thoughts".
Well Clea has been moving faster than a speeding bullet since last we spoke, it's time to "Check In" with her.....
So, Darlin’ are your
knickers off?
Nope! They are right where they should be...I think
:)
See Darlin’ you are a
whore, isn’t “Showgirls” one of your favorite
movies?
Yes, and I would definitely be Cristal delivering that
line! No whores here honey, just bitches. I've even watched that movie in German
and it still translates. The language of glass marble sabotage is international
amongst us dancing divas.
We met this year at The
Satellite, in Silverlake, CA for the first time, after I’m not sure, how many
years at sea, I love it!
Can you believe
it? Finally, we crossed the oceans and rivers of planet Earth and cyberspace to
physically meet in person!
Was so amazing to finally meet you
(officially) but, I gotta admit I feel like we've been friends brushing each
other's hair and giving each other manicures for years now!
Mr. Shinafelt & Ms. Cutthroat
You were actually a native
from my actual hood, expand.
I guess that makes us "homies" then,
huh :)
Yes, I am an authentic, born, mall-raised, frozen
yogurt feed valley girl from Reseda, San Fernando Valley.
I guess those
early years of lining my lips with dark brown eyeliner, then filling them in
with nude shimmering lip gloss was really just a foreshadowing of my drag
queen-esque future to come.
“Bonaparte” is a great
performance art band.
Thank you! It
really is. I love being a part of Bonaparte. It is really and truly such a
unique opportunity to be able to perform with such amazing musicians and fellow
performance artists that inspire me to no end. Within Bonaparte, we are all
equal pieces to the puzzle, and I can honestly say I love every piece.
It's the most amazing opportunity to take my classical dance training
and mix it with my cabaret/burlesque/side show life. I'm constantly learning and
expanding from everyone involved, and that is what keeps you going as an
artist.
I am as happy as a clam. ("clam" hmm...no vagina pun
intended.)
How did “Ms. Cutthroat” become
involved?
I met Bonaparte in Paris. Paris, Texas that is. My
parents just moved there...I was visiting so we all got tickets to go see the
rodeo. While we were there, I see this little guy, looking like Napoleon in the
middle of it all. Seriously. I was so curious about him, and I finally met him
when we both went to the bar to order some beers and nachos. I know, it sounds
bizarre, but then we talked and found out I was planning on moving to
Berlin...he has just moved...and well, POOF!
And 4, or 5 (cant remember
now) years later we're touring the states and I finally got to meet
you!
See, horseshoes do bring good luck.
...We should go to a
rodeo together, don't ya think?
What’s
your favorite number you do with them, or do you not play
favorites? Well, I play a bunch of different "persona's". I have
Amie, Alice, Juanita, Sister Mary...to name a few...and if I start playing
favorites then it's gonna turn into a bitch fest, and I cant deal with all of
these personalities at the moment. Plus, Sister Mary is a drunk, and she is
always slapping Amie around.
If you were a Punk
Song, what punk song would you be? Without a doubt. "Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie", Black Flag. Henry
Rollins. Doesn't get much better. That album,
Damaged, was so influential to me when I was younger. It was like a
treasure chest of emotions that I didn't know that I could tap into. It changed
everything for me.
One of the best 5 shows I have ever seen, was going to
see Black Flag with Henry Rollins in NYC. I have never seen someone so
possessed, obsessed and dominant on stage as Henry. Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie was always one of my
favorites, but when I saw that live...it blew my mind. I knew that it was that
energy, fire, rage and passion that I wanted to manifest in Clea.
Sitting here I'm a loaded gun
Waiting
to go off I've got nothing to do But shoot my mouth
off

Obama recently supported
Gay Marriage, your thoughts?
"YES!" "THANK GOD!" "FINALLY!"
...and then I got annoyed because it is so ignorant, small minded, and
pathetic that there is a large group of self-righteous people that believe they
hold the moral and religious code of the universe, and can decided who can, and
can not get married.
Who gives a flying fuck?!!? I don't care if two guys
get married, or if Billy in Georgia needs to dress in a large furry animal
costume to get off at night. I wouldn't care if Sarah Palin loved a man or if
she hosted lesbian orgies dressed as a latex zebra in her spare time. It's all
bullshit and i am sorry that we are in a world where REAL problems get pushed
aside to discuss if a government can decide if I am allowed to choose who I fall
in love with.
Obama needs to gives this country a verbal slap for being
so stupid. Yes, stupid. We will tune into watch Kim Kardashian's 72 minute
wedding, and watch every time Elizabeth Taylor walked down the aisle...and what
is the problem with two people who are in love, but (gasp!) of the same gender
getting married? Why do we care who I, he, she decides to spend their life with?
To me, it sounds like a lot of bored people with closeted desires/fears and have
no better way to release them.
Everyone needs to get over themselves, and
start worrying about our country's education system, our environment that is
boiling, the state of the economy, and stop worrying about who any of us write
love letters too.
I'm more concerned about giving young girls a strong
female role model. I don't care if you want to be President of the United
States, CEO of whatever, a secretary, a Playboy Playmate, a housewife, nor do I
care who/who
http://www.facebook.com/cleacutthroat
m you share your bed with at night. What I do care about is that you
do it with dignity, pride, following your own moral code, and leaving a strong
example to the next generation.
Grrrrrrr...now I need a
maragarita.
You are one of the coolest
women I have ever met.
lol! I don't feel very cool at the moment
after writing that tirade above!
Ok, deep breath, and big sip of the
margarita (delicious!)
Thank you very much! But, if I think about it too
much I will start blushing as I type this:)
I appreciate that you think
I'm cool..cuz I think you're cool too! And having people I respect, respect me
back is pretty much all I can ask for in the end...and a Slurpee machine. I will
really know that I've made it when I have a Slurpee machine in my flat. It
ridiculous, but it's my thing.
Too bad we could not meet
in New Jersey for Cinco Di Mayo.
Maybe next year? I mean, how
amazing would that be to celebrate with a few margaritas in Atlantic City? Maybe
only going to Reno could top that!
What is happening with you in
the future?
This year is going to be quite busy touring with
Bonaparte. The third album will be coming out later this year...so we are
starting soon with summer festival season, and then a club tour in the
fall.
Otherwise, I am
burlesque-ing it up all over Europe, and my BIG goal for this year is to finish
my 1 woman show. My fantasy is to have it up in NYC Jan/Feb 2013...I know that
date may need to be adjusted due to touring, but it is my passion. I love
burlesque, it has been, and continues to be very good to me, but I really want
to push myself out of the "burlesque" box and into a box that is all my own.
I've been wanting to do this for years, but my last tour in NYC gave me a big
kick in the ass, so engines are roaring and I'm busy busy getting it ready to
go!
Love you Woman, you keep it
real.
I love you!!!!
...and thank YOU for giving me
such a great platform to keep it real...
As Cristal would say,
"It's amazing what paint and a surgeon can
do"...I always felt that way about wigs and a loud
mouth.
Six time “Playboy” Latina model Yvette Lopez is here, and she has the music in her.
With songs such as “Bloodrush” “Freakshow” and “Tell Me It’s A Lie” …
She wants you to dance!
So get off your butt and do it, and do it now…!
MS: Loving all your songs including the current one “Bloodrush” - your recurring theme in all of them seems to be about being lost in music.
YL: Music is my life, it’s all about music. My Father was a musician, he did his first 45 when he was 7, so all my upbringing was about music. Now that I am doing it, it seems to be all about music again.
MS: Of course you may intertwine that more with sex than he did. (laughs)
YL: (laughs) Yeah, mines a lot different than his stuff.
MS: But it all relates to music, I noticed that.
YL: I co-wrote 4 of the songs with Jens Gad of Enigma. I also co-wrote with a lot of other people, it was a lot of fun, I have never written before, I didn’t know I could. It came out very easily, and now I am excited to get back in the studio and do some more stuff.
MS: Writing is my natural gift, I don’t believe in writers block, if it doesn’t work, go back and change it.
YL: Exactly! That’s what a producer told me one time.
MS: Well your producer is right!
YL: Yeah, just go back and write it down.
MS: So, let’s talk about “Bloodrush” it’s about music, but it’s about sex & drugs as well….It’s crazy, it’s so open for interpretation on 3 different levels.
YL: (laughs) Yeah, my producer picked the subject and said: “What is a Bloodrush to you”? Of course it’s sex, what is better than that? So we went with that and when we were shooting the video I was so lucky that my friend, Mikey Post was there.
MS: I thought that was Mikey
YL: Yeah, it was Mikey! I asked him to do the video and he said: “Hell Yeah” and there he was choking me and pulling my hair.
MS: So what’s up with it Darlin’ ?
YL: Well I have the Playboy name behind me which is great, some people think, because of that: “Oh she’s a girl who just takes her clothes off” but if you listen to the music, it’s pretty damned good! Right now, we are figuring how to get it out to the radio stations and different venues. Did you ever hear my first single, “Tell Me It’s A Lie” ?
MS: Yes, Romi (Simmons) played it for me in her car after I saw you at EG Daily’s show at the club on Vine in Hollywood, CA. So what happened with that?
YL: We have it iTunes, it does pretty decent on there. After a while Romi and I got pretty busy and stopped promoting it, which was pretty silly, and now we are promoting it again because of all the stuff that is happening.
MS: She told me what the song was about, before I heard it, it is about a woman whose man cheats on her with a guy, well OK, the lyrics are open for interpretation which is great!
YL: Oh yeah, that would be fine with me. It could about a guy or a girl….I date both sexes. I prefer a man to a woman, but…
MS: You flow.
YL: Yep, at least in life.
MS: “Freakshow” is another song of yours I loved.
YL: I love that one too I recorded it here in Los Angeles, with Peter Rafelson, he’s worked with Lady Gaga, he wrote a number one hit song for Madonna, he’s pretty well known. I really want to put a show together with that song, me tied up in a cage, with a lot of stuff going on around me. With me and a bunch of little people and everyone doing all these crazy sex things. That is a turn on song for me.
MS: I especially like the line “Put the leash on, you know my kitty wants to play” OMG, what does that mean?! (laughs) You got your music career going on.
YL: I hope so, the music industry is all about doing it yourself these days.
“This is something that’s bigger than life”….”Bloodrush” - Yvette Lopez
