While I am fully aware that "Walking The Pooch" is a euphemism that  means....well look it up. In this case it is a literal thing, and for that my wandering eyes are quite grateful. Especially since it takes on the form of one Jon Hamm.

"Yes" Minions it's Jon Hamm letting his dog out for a walk in Los Angeles and what a sight to behold it is! Especially since he's doing it in shorts that show off his great legs. 

However one thing seems to have changed, does Mr. Hamm no longer freeball? Now don't tell me none of you remember the notorious "Hamm" in Jon's sweatpants photos of him going sans underwear. That sight was real and spectacular and from the looks of it he does not seem to have released the Kraken, or maybe the camera angle hides it.

Today's Monday Motivation is inspiration. While I have been very inspired creatively during this pandemic there is the occasional dry spot. Thus this morning I was surfing the Internet in search of some.

Well I found it in the form of Jon Hamm in a t-shirt, shorts, mask and flip flops. How is that inspiring you may ask? Well it got my creative juices flowing if you get  my drift, and I think you do...

Not everything that inspires me is adjacent to lust, but in this very moment, right here, right now that is what is doing the trick. 

Hey tomorrow's inspiration could be a piece of art or a dog I see while out and about. Perhaps it will  be another human being's act of kindness. That's the exciting thing about getting inspired you just never no where it's coming from, but it always does and often surprises.

Happy Father's Day to all of you Daddy's out there (now do you get why Jon is my poster guy for it???) - Anyway nothing beats a Hamm sighting in sweatpants, although it does not look like Jon is up to his freeballing ways from this shot. Which is a bummer, I know he got a lot of attention for it in the press when Mad Men was on the air. Perhaps he decided to tie the Kraken down to avoid the unwanted(?) focus it drew.

Whilst having lunch with a friend at the LA County Museum of Art the other day, the subject of the TV show Mad Men came up. We both admitted our love of it, and lamented it's demise.

If you watched the show weekly like I did you know Peggy was Don's protegee at the advertising agency where they worked. "Yes" they had an unusually close bond, "No" they did not sleep together, although everyone assumes they did.

I remember really noticing Justin for the first time when was oh so bad in the Charlie's Angels follow-up, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. Justin was so hot being the sadistic criminal Seamus O'Grady who is the Ex of Dylan Sanders (Drew Barrymore) in the movie.

"Yes" he made my toes curl, and then some. I then remembered him from David Lynch's Mulholland Drive where he portrayed another lousy member of the male sex. You know the real portion, not the dream portion of this living Hollywood nightmare.

While he is a good actor, there is nothing like the many images of Justin freeballing on the WWW. He gives Jon Hamm a run for his money, ah Hell who am I kidding, I could never choose one or the other in this case, we'd have to compromise and go menage.

Monday Motivation

Yesterday I did something that I haven't in a long time,meditate. With a little bit of a cough and the sniffles I decided it was OK to take some down time and do the minimal things that I needed to without being anxious. "Yes" I cleared my head of all thoughts of what I "should be" doing and just was.

It was one of the best days ever! When you feel anxious, stuck in a rut or just plain over things, take a mental vacation. It takes strong discipline to do it, but if everyday could be like, not to mention feel like yesterday I would be on cloud nine, ten, eleven...

Thus meditation is Monday Motivation - I leave you with this now iconic image of Jon Hamm doing just that in the series finale of one of my favorite shows ever Mad Men. If you recall Hamm's character, Don Draper came up with the iconic Coke jingle during this zen moment....I'd like to teach the world to sing, indeed....

While speaking with a friend of mine yesterday he mentioned seeing Jon Hamm in the current flick Beirut. He praised Hamm and the film. There's a tongue twister "Hamm and the film" say it three times fast c'mon, I dare ya.

Needless to say the conversation got me Jon Hamm dreamin' - "Yes" I started thinking about the sexy guy with the um, special delivery between his legs. 

Thus here he is in retro swim trunks during the shooting of Mad Men, one of my favorite TV Shows evuh. 

What's that? How is he Monday Motivation? Because Hamm's body is a hot regular guys body, not overly pumped but in good shape. Something that is attainable.

Having lost 40 lbs. recently having a body like his is my current goal, one I have almost reached.

So Happy Monday, time for me to have some private motivation with Jon!

I make no bones about my thing for Hamm on here (get it? Bones?) He has movie star looks and a nice slice of you know what to go along with it. Hollywood does seem to have one love for sure in the timeless tale of A Star Is Born. It was first made in 1937 with Frederic March as the troubled movie star and Janet Gaynor as the aspiring up and coming actress who he guides to fame. Then it was remade two more times with James Mason & Judy Garland and Barbara Streisand & Kris Kristofferson respectively. For the record the only one of these I have seen is the Garland/Mason one, both were brilliant in it!

So, is the third time going to be a charm, or is it going to be three strikes and your out?

Lady Gaga, who I love as a talent, what she stands for and who she is, is in talks to star in the third remake with the, I don't get his appeal, Bradley Cooper directing as well as co-starring. 

Rumor has it Gaga has tested for the role and Warner Bothers execs were impressed. As well they should be as I am sure our Lady's test was off the hook! My trepidation about this lies solely with Cooper.

If he wants to direct, great! However, I think Gaga's presence and talent is so strong she deserves a male lead with a lot more testosterone. Jon Hamm perhaps?

With the end of the final season of Mad Men drawing near and fan anticipation growing of how the series will end, did you ever wonder how the cast celebrated the taping of the final episode of the Emmy Award winning drama?

Drink excessively? Chain smoke until dawn? Smoke pot and have a Bacchanalian orgy? You know the way they do on the show.

Christina Hendricks recently gave Vulture the 411:

“We partied for about a week straight,” Hendricks spilled. “We’re all surprisingly into musicals,” she explained “There was a lot of singing of "Little Shop of Horrors," ‘Defying Gravity’ (from Wicked), and a little bit of "Frozen.” The secret is out now, the cast of Mad Men are musical geeks “I wish we were cooler.”

Thanks Christina for that bit of fun information, what a great way to move on from a great show, that although I am dying to know how it all ends, I will be sad to see it, the cast and Jon Hamm's bulge go.
