Just Because...Brad Pitt

Once Upon A Time...
Brad Pitt
Just Because he's at the premiere in Mexico City. Just Because I loved Once Upon A Time In...Hollywood & Just Because It's Brad, bitch. Here he is the man of the moment Brad Pitt!

While Brad has never had that Schwing factor for me, there is no denying he is one good looking man. Not to mention one good actor as well...

In fact if I were a betting man, which I am not (seriously I'm not) I would venture to place my money on Mr. Pitt finally nabbing an Oscar for his role of stuntman and possible felon Cliff Booth in Once Upon A Time In...Hollywood

Brad is perfection in the film. It's showcases his acting chops and is a good old fashioned Movie Star type turn to boot.

If you have yet to catch Once Upon A Time In...Hollywood, what are you waiting for?! Seriously, what???

Hump Day & Chill

By The Sea
John Krasinski

Today I thought we would go a tad unconventional in the hunk department. With number one at the box office Movie Star, Director & Co-Writer of A Quiet Place John Krasinski.

Remember when John rose to fame on The Office? I only do by proxy since I never watched it, but I did hear of John

There's something about John, while he is good looking, he is not quite your run of the mill stud. He is like a thinking person's sex object. He has an intelligence that shines through and that is one of the keys to his sex appeal.

While I know Mr. Krasinski has gotten way buffed up since his early The Office days, I chose to use an image of him not shirtless. One I found sexy, as it gives off a pin-up sort of vibe.

I hope you enjoy this view of John as much as I do.

Time to Hump Day & Chill!

Queen Margot

I admit it, I had only heard of Margot Robbie before seeing I, Tonya. "Yep" I, Tonya was the first time I had even seen Ms. Robbie in a film. She was spectacular as Tonya Harding. I suspect she will take home the Golden Globe this Sunday for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy.
What's that you say? What about her turn as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, you mean you didn't see that. "No" I didn't thank you very much, honestly you would have had to kidnap me, tie me up and prop my eyes open A Clockwork Orange style to get me to watch it, and I would still find a way to resist.
Robbie who appears on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter with Tonya Harding tells them she has one regret about doing that movie:
"There's just all this stuff you learn along the way, like, when you get those death threats, it's [smart] to have a security team do a background check on whoever sent them to see if there is any past history of violence because you'll need to know whether you need security to go to certain events. And every time you do a background check, it's going to cost $2,000, so take that into consideration when you're getting yourself into this."
"And it's like, 'OK, that's a different kind of career.' Because then you need to always do a job that can financially support that lifestyle; you can't just do indie films for the rest of your life because that film back there changed everything and now you have to be able to afford security, I just wish someone had explained a lot of those things to me early on. I wouldn't have resented the position I found myself in because I would've known what I was getting myself into."

See kids being a Movie Star isn't always shits & giggles. Best of luck to you Margot on Sunday, you got this!

Just Because...Supermodels

Smile & Say Versace!
l-r
Claudia Schiffer, Donatella Versace, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Helena Christensen

Just Because it's nostalgic, Just Because they all still look amazing & Just Because they are legends - Here are the four of the biggest Supermodels ever: Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford & Helena Christensen with designer Donatella Versace.

What brought the four women together you may ask? They were at Milan Fashion Week to strut on the catwalk for, what else? Versace, I am sure Donatella's presence must have tipped you off to that one, if it didn't...

Rumor has it these four stole the show. But of course they did sweetie darling. They were from an era when being a Supermodel was like being a Movie Star, and emanating the like qualities of one.

Not like modeling is today. What's that? You want me to go there? I'm not in the mood to write a dissertation about that nor do I care enough to do so. This being stated I am sure you can fill in the blank without me telling you what's going through my mind.

Anyway, this image is one for the Entertain Me books.

You'd better werk!

Joan Crawford Lives! "No More Selfies Ever!"

I'm Not Dead Bitches!
Joan Crawford
Does anyone wonder what would have transpired if Joan Crawford were alive today? Well wonder no more your prayers, or perhaps nightmares have been answered!

Check out the press release below to get the 411 on what m.o.m.m.i.e.D. is up to now, that's correct I said now, like at this very moment now...

When JOAN CRAWFORD is stopped at the gate to Hollywood Heaven and ordered to Hell “for reasons well known to her,” she charms (acts) her way past the aspiring-rapper guard and manages to enter Heaven on probation. To get off parole, she must return to Earth to both explain her Mommie Dearest sins and perform good works, most notably: rescue true celebrity back from today’s reality starlets and civilian selfies.

In her riveting posthumous fake autobiography, MOMMIE SMEAREST: See Joan Crawford In Bitch Selfie Ain’t Make You No Movie Star, Joan, writing as L. LeSueur, reinvents herself as the rap artist mo.m.m.i.e.D.

From a secret base at a Florida trailer park, JOAN CRAWFORD launches a raucous plotline that parodies today’s rich and famous − including reality starlets from Hollywood, Washington, Wall Street and the mall – many of whom Crawford finds lacking as true stars. As part of her good works to gain entry to Heaven, Joan plots to unmask a corporate executive blowhard in a mini-skirt-power-suit she views as a personal-brand-building fraud.  And most significantly, Joan takes aim at the newest form of “d”-lebrities:  everyday people who think they’re stars because their YouTube video has gone viral or their selfies have a thousand likes on Facebook.

In addition to trailer parks and a chicken-processing factory, readers are whisked into phony-fabulous locales including Trump Tower, pro-football stadiums, boardrooms, and the New York Times social columns.  In between her squabbles and plot twists, Joan offers hilarious flashbacks from her own rich Hollywood life, including a never-revealed (until now!) audition for TV’s The Brady Bunch, and a feature-length lie called Monster Dearest: Keeping Up with the Crawfords, in which Crawford sort of, but not really, explains herself as Mommie Dearest.  She even records her first rap song and video, “Bitch, Selfie Ain’t Make You No Movie Star”, watch it and watch it now!!!

In the end, multiple story lines converge into an affirming crescendo celebration that includes criminal indictments, a high-profile gay society wedding, and the final verdict on Joan’s entry into Hollywood Heaven.   It all serves as a reminder of the ‘realness’ of fame, especially in today’s celebrity-obsessed culture where anyone with a smartphone can be a star.

MOMMIE SMEAREST: See Joan Crawford In Bitch Selfie Ain’t Make You No Movie Star is available digitally and in softcover now at https://www.amazon.com/Mommie-Smearest-Crawford-Bitch-Selfie/dp/0989380521.

JOAN CRAWFORD’s single, “Bitch…Selfie Ain’t Make You No Movie Star”, voiced by famed celebrity impersonator Bonnie Kilroe, is available on iTunes.

Again?!?! "A Star Is Born"

Born A Star
Lady Gaga
"Time won't change the meaning of one love, Ageless and ever (ever, ever)
Evergreen" - Evergreen "A Star Is Born" Barbara Streisand

Hollywood does seem to have one love for sure in the timeless tale of A Star Is Born. It was first made in 1937 with Frederic March as the troubled movie star and Janet Gaynor as the aspiring up and coming actress who he guides to fame. Then it was remade two more times with James Mason & Judy Garland and Barbara Streisand & Kris Kristofferson respectively. For the record the only one of these I have seen is the Garland/Mason one, both were brilliant in it!

So, is the third time going to be a charm, or is it going to be three strikes and your out?
Lady Gaga, who I love as a talent, what she stands for and who she is, is in talks to star in the third remake with the, I don't get his appeal, Bradley Cooper directing as well as co-starring.

Rumor has it Gaga has tested for the role and Warner Bothers execs were impressed. As well they should be as I am sure our Lady's test was off the hook! My trepidation about this lies solely with Cooper.

If he wants to direct, great! However, I think Gaga's presence and talent is so strong she deserves a male lead with a lot more testosterone. Jon Hamm perhaps?

Dolly Parton's New Development

Dolly Parton Keeps Developing

DOLLY PARTON SIGNS DEVELOPMENT DEAL WITH NBC

Network to Develop Slate of Two-Hour Movies With Legendary Country Icon as Producer

Like, who out there does not love Dolly Parton?! Given this news perhaps a live broadcast of the musical "Hello Dolly" should be on the fast track!

NBC has signed a development deal with Dolly Parton, one of the most honored female country musicians of all time and an American icon.

"I am so excited to be involved with my friend Bob Greenblatt, who produced the Broadway version of '9 to 5: The Musical' with me, and my longtime friend and former agent Sam Haskell. We want to create projects for NBC that are both fun and inspirational with a family audience in mind," said Dolly Parton.

In conjunction with production partner Sam Haskell of Magnolia Hill Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television, NBC will develop a slate of two-hour TV movies based on the songs, stories, and inspiring life of Dolly Parton. This extraordinarily prolific country music artist and movie star will produce these projects that are meant to appeal to an inclusive family audience.

"I don't know anyone in the world who doesn't love Dolly Parton, and the idea of developing television movies inspired by her incredible life and the stories she has sung about for decades is exciting to all of us at NBC," said Robert Greenblatt, Chairman, NBC Entertainment." I hope we will create some uplifting movies that the entire family can enjoy together, a genre of programming that still seems largely untapped on television."

Added Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment: "We all feel so lucky to be in business with Dolly. We're so excited about working with her to infuse these movies with her incredible work ethic and that genuine hopefulness and positive outlook that has been her trademark for years. And you can bet there will be a lot of her music in them too."
