It's been over forty years since KC and The Sunshine Band danced onto the music scene, transforming the landscape of pop music, and creating a signature sound spanning generations young and old. With sales of over 100 million records, nine Grammy nominations, three Grammy Awards and an American Music Award, they are still known today as one of the most progressive bands of the 70s; and in the midst of a millennial, digital age, their music is still discovered daily by millions around the world through its continual placement in top box office movies, TV commercials, TV shows and video games. This month, the band celebrates international recognition with 1984 hit "Give It Up," licensed for use in one of the leading scenes in blockbuster action movie, KINGSMAN: The Secret Service -- marking over 200 on-screen musical appearances for KC and The Sunshine Band. Whether the scene is fun and light-hearted or violent like in KINGSMAN, (where "Give It Up" plays as the villain acts out his infernal plan), and new Australian indie film, Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead, (where "Get Down Tonight" is the anthem of choice as the lead character, a mad scientist, goes to town on terrified, live "cadavers" in his lab), KC and The Sunshine Band seems to have created an R&B, funk and disco infused soundtrack for pretty much every type of scene imaginable, whether its scored by music supervisors out of irony, or logic. "It makes me happy to know that my music has withstood the test of time," said Harry Wayne "KC" Casey. "Disco and funk have never really gone away. Look at Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' current No. 1 Billboard smash, "Uptown Funk." That song takes it back to the sound of my day. I'm glad to see my musical style being preserved not only on-screen but in current radio hits too." Over the past forty years, the list of films and commercials KC's music has been summoned for is seemingly endless. In the early 70s, at the height of the KC and The Sunshine Band phenomenon, they made their on-screen debut with "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty," in Top of the Pops and The Brady Bunch Hour, before "That's The Way I Like It," made its way into a comedic skit inSaturday Night Live. Then, in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s, viewers and KC were reacquainted once again in Deuce Bigalow, Blow, Legally Blonde, Austin Powers, Saving Silverman, Rush Hour, The Simpsons, Dr. Dolittle, Forrest Gump, The Players Club, Space Jam, Picture Perfect and She's So Lovely, to name a few. More recently, in 2010, Sun Life Financial enlisted KC and his band as actors in its TV ad, humorously commissioning the band to change their name to the "SunLife Band," and their Saturday Night Fever hit, "Boogie Shoes," made its resurgence in 2014 in a Raisin Bran commercial. Other modern-day hit series like Scandal, The Big Bang Theory, Dancing With The Stars, Lovelace, Three Many Weddings, and the East Enders have all featured KC's music within the past two years. Furthermore, this March, Director Mark Moormann and Beacon Films, LLC will bring the music and career legacy of KC and The Sunshine Band to the Miami International Film Festival in the feature-length documentary, THE RECORD MAN, capturing the life of KC's long-time producer and record executive Henry Stone. Grammy's: Tonight's The Night

Alright everyone as you all must know by now because of the media blitz tonight is Grammy night and I don't mean your Dad or your Mom's Mother. It's the music equivalent of the film biz's Oscars...coming soon BTW.

There will be many cool performances tonight including Superbowl darling Katy Perry, Madonna, Adam Levine + Gwen Stefani and many more!

There will also be a performance from super group and fan favorite Pentatonix for the award show. PTX as fans call them are also nominated in the category of Best Arrangement, Instrumental, or A Cappella for their Daft Punk Medley.

A Great Big World will be crisscrossing the globe this year when they launch an expansive international run, the appropriately titled "A Great Big World Tour". This marks their return to Europe and sees them hit numerous territories for the first time. The tour also perfectly coincides with the launch of the group's latest single "Already Home". With an elegant piano intro, the song builds into another impressive, inspiring, and infectious chorus from the group. It's another majestic anthem from A Great Big World following upon the stratospheric success of “Say Something” with Christina Aguilera which has reached international multi-platinum sales.

About “Already Home”, A Great Big World adds, "We wrote this song years ago, but it's kind of spooky how much the lyrics mean to us now that we've been away touring for months. We're realizing that 'home' doesn't need to be a tangible and physical thing. It can be that quiet place that is always there inside of you, or the love that exists between two people, no matter how far apart. So in that sense, we are always 'home."

In support of the song and critically acclaimed debut album, Is There Anybody Out There? [Black Magnetic/Epic Records], the tour starts on May 10^th with the iconic Los Angeles radio show Wango Tango, and then sees the New York pop duo of Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino visit at least twelve countries over the course of four months.

Axel and Vaccarino preface the tour saying, "It's pretty unbelievable that we've reached a point where we're able to travel half-way across the Earth, and have fans coming to see us and support us. That's why we write. That's why we perform - to connect. The world is beginning to feel a lot smaller than our name suggests!"

On April 1, A Great Big World’s music returns to hit Fox show Glee as the group’s uplifting anthem“Rockstar” will be covered by the cast during a pivotal episode. This is the second time Glee has chosen to perform one of the group’s songs. In 2013 the Glee cast performed “This Is the New Year” (video) and helped launch the song to its viral success.  Get ready to hear “Rockstar” like you’ve never heard it before.

It's been a magical journey thus far for the group. In addition to debuting at #3 on the Billboard Top 200, Is There Anybody Out There? received widespread critical acclaim upon its release in January.

Have You Heard? "White Noise Owl" Rocks!

So the next time you see a white owl, get it to make some noise, and rock on with your bad self! Ha! kidding!

"White Noise Owl" is a band that's been there, done that, collectively toured the world, and individually snagged many awards along the way...blah-blah-blah.  Let's get serious, folks...you've heard it all before.  

You know the players involved and nothing they can say will possibly prepare you for the impact that their labor of love will have on you this time.  The long distance connection that fused together the talents of Lo-Pro vocalist Pete Murray, newcomer Chris Shy, Snot bassist John Fahnestock, and drummer extraordinaire Will Hunt (who has played with everyone from Grammy winning superstars Evanescence to living legends like Zakk Wylde and Tommy Lee) is one that no P/R spin could ever capture.  The guys met for the first time in LA with mega-producer Ben Grosse (Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed, Fuel, Filter, and a myriad of others) at The Mix Room and famed East West studios for a few weeks to put their impression on their dream project.
