Big Time Gambling Boss

Considered one of the finest films in Japanese cinema, Big Time Gambling Boss will be available on Limited Edition Blu-ray for the first time on Jan. 3, 2023, the initial release from new imprint Radiance Films.

Originally released in 1968, the film was hailed by Paul Schrader as the richest and most complex film of its type, while novelist Yukio Mishima declared it a masterpiece.

The film is set in Tokyo in the thirties, where gang boss Arakawa is ill and a successor must be named. The choice falls on Nakai, but being an outsider he refuses and suggests senior clansman Matsuda instead. But Matsuda is in jail and the elders won't wait for his release, so they appoint the younger and more malleable Ishido to take the reins. Clan honor and loyalties are severely tested when Matsuda is released, resulting in an increasingly violent internal strife.

An atmospheric tale of gangland intrigue written by Kazuo Kasahara (Battles
Without Honor and Humanity) and starring Tomisaburo Wakayama (Lone Wolf and Cub, The Bounty Hunter Trilogy), and genre legend Koji Tsuruta, Big Time Gambling Boss is one of the all-time classics of the Yakuza genre. Radiance Films is proud to present this crucial re-discovery for the first time ever on Blu-ray.

Just Because...Gerard Butler

Great Balls Of Fire!
Gerard Butler
Just Because we need a distraction from the chaos, Just Because I've got chills they're multiplying & Just Because he's a total stud, that's right minions it's time to get us some Gerard Butler

Look at Gerard as he carries the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Flame during the torch relay in Sparta, Greece. "Yes" peeps, just when you thought he couldn't get any hotter (pun intended) we get Flaming Butler!

Honestly I am surprised they even had the torch relay given everything going on in the world at large. But I'm glad they did so I could get a look at Man Candy in the form of one of my favorite fantasies.

Hey Greece is the word after all.

Mic Drop!

Just Because...It's Weird

It's All Fun & Games Until...
Miranda Kerr
Just because it's weird, just because it's visual & just because it's Miranda Kerr, here is yet another one of a kind image from Tokyo.

That's right kids just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful photo op of Ms. Kerr and a Japanese food company mascot who goes by the name Marukome Kun. Yeah, you read that correctly, I don't get it.

All I know is it has something to do with promoting food, but honestly I find Marukome to come off more than a little disturbing. With his big blank eyes and wide open mouth...I will stop short of going there, think about it, but not too much.

Miranda is giving good face despite what I think is a totally awkward and perverse situation. Seriously would you want to be photographed with that?! I thought not.

Be disturbed, be be disturbed!
