It's no mystery the X-Files with Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny is back. Yes, geeks Scully & Mulder together again! Gillian has always been one of my favorite actresses. Quite versatile, with amazing presence and talent. I will never forget when I saw her as Lily Bart in Terence Davies adaptation of the Edith Wharton novel The House of Mirth, which was a house of anything but FYI. She was riveting! Feast your eyes on Ms. Anderson promoting the X-Files recently at Fox's TCA panel in Pasadena. Educated guess, she is moist for some cryptic reason. Perhaps to be deciphered in an upcoming X-Files episode. The Truth Is Out There, but guess what? You'll never ever find it.... Gillian on IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000096/?ref_=nv_sr_1
Fresh off her career defining roles for Jack Hill in Coffy and Foxy Brown, Pam Grier continued her domination of the Blaxploitation genre, in cult filmmaker William Girdler's (The Manitou, Abby) 'Sheba, Baby'...
Grier plays Sheba Shayne, a private eye based in Chicago who is called to her hometown to stop the local mob boss (played by "that bad D'Urville Martin", Black Caesar, Dolemite) from moving in on her father's loan business. Aided by her father's partner, Brick Williams (Austin Stoker, Assault on Precinct 13, Battle for the Planet of the Apes), Sheba finds out that the violent thugs aren't going go away without a fight. Car bombs, gun fights and boat chases ensue whilst armed with her curves, street smarts and a .44, Sheba is in for a bloodbath!
Grier would appear in three Blaxploitation classics in 1975 (the others were Bucktown and Friday Foster), where she was at the top of her game and genre, with the Los Angeles Times calling her "cool, tough and glamorous - a female fantasy Wonder Woman", further cementing her status as the first female action star.

Pretty Little Liars is back, five years after the torture "A" aka Charlotte DiLaurentis and guess who turned up D-E-A-D in Rosewood? "A" got out of the nut house and someone killed her ass! Obviously this will be the central mystery (with a lot of sub plots happening) for the seventh and rumor has it, final season of the show. What did I think you ask? I loved the five year forward jump. It added much needed new life to the show. While I would never abandon my "Liars" the switching things up move proved to be awesome! Kudos to the astute writing. How will it all end? Out of the mouth of Lucy Hale aka Aria Montgomery comes this bold statement: "I used to say, oh I want the girls to end up happy and live an A-free life, but I kind of want it to end really tragically," Hale shares. "I want people to be really upset, like they've lost something when the show ends, because I know that my favorite shows have ended that way, so a tragic ending. I'll just leave it at that." Bingo! I have to get with Lucy on this comment. Cheers to an unhappy series finale! Keep up with the Lying at: https://www.facebook.com/prettylittleliars

So saddened to hear the news that one of the biggest influences in my life on many levels, David Bowie has passed away due to cancer. Dear David, This is an open letter to you to list the numerous ways you have impacted my life throughout the years. My first exposure to you musically was the Ziggy Stardust personae and album. I was mesmerized by it. Favorite song: Suffragette City. I heard the album years before I owned it via a friend of my parents teenage son, yeah I was a mere kid then. The first album I owned by you? Let's Dance. Favorite song? China Girl. "Yes" David you were my first. My first major rock show ever! The Tubes opened for you at the Tacoma Dome in Washington State. I will never forget the amazing show you gave a combination of theatricality and brilliant music! Oh, you were also another first for me. My first Rock God crush, yeah I thought you were sexy a fuck! I met you when I worked at Tower Records Sunset. You were to only star I ever met that I was actually nervous about saying "Hello" to. I remember grabbing a vinyl LP copy of theTin Machine album for you to sign, when myself and the other employees brought our things to the register, you were so gracious and kind. You signed everyone's treasure with true class. When we expressed our awe of you with regard to the legend you were your response was: "Oh please, I'm no big deal." I managed to see you in concert a total of four times, each one a religious experience. You can never completely know the total depth of the impact you had on my life as a young gay man. But I will leave you with this. You made it easier, seeing someone out there who dared to be different, an innovator and mostly dared to be himself. R.I.P. Thin White Duke
