Tonight I will be attending the 25th Anniversary Screening of Mulholland Drive at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Hollywood, CA naturally.
Also there is a quite David Lynch like twist to this, for those of you who don't know, Hollywood Forever is his final resting place, thus Mr. Lynch will be in attendance.
Here is what Todd McCarthy for Variety said about this classic when it came out in 2001:
"The story is hardly straight in "Mulholland Drive," the compelling but intentionally inscrutable return of the "weird" David Lynch that will please his hardcore fans even if it has them scratching their heads as well."
Scratching my head??? As If! For some reason Mulholland Drive has gotten more linear the older I get. To me it is a very straightforward Hollywood tale.
I can't wait to join the enthusiastic crowd of David Lynch fans tonight amongst the stars and the deceased!
