Here Come The Judds

Naomi & Wynonna Judd
Remember when the Judds were hot, hot , hot?
Then you are old.

Together, Country Music icons Wynonna and Naomi Judd made musical history throughout their career receiving eight Gold and eight Platinum records, selling over 20 million albums and scoring twenty Top 10 hits between 1984-1990. Now, Curb Records is excited to bring fans the ultimate collection of those years together. The Judds – All-Time Greatest Hits will be released on Friday, June 30 – and will feature each of the classic hits that helped to make them a household name on Country Radio in the 1980s and 1990s.

"Some things continue to get better with time, like fine wine and the Judds music," says Naomi Judd. "I’m so proud that our music has stood the test of time. It makes my heart smile when I turn on Country Radio and I can sing along with our hits."

The twenty-one song set will feature each of the duo’s top ten hits, as well as “You Can’t Go Home Again (Flies On The Butter),” a recording from 2011. Beginning with the classic #1 hit “Mama, He’s Crazy” in 1984, and continuing through 1991’s “One Hundred and Two,” the duo established a career that will stand with one of the top duets in Country Music history. Fourteen times the duo topped the Billboard Country Singles chart, and each of their five studio albums were certified Gold or Platinum.

Along with their sales and airplay success, The Judds also dominated the awards shows like no artist before their time. Starting in 1984, the duo netted nine CMA Awards, including a run from 1985-1991 as either Vocal Duo or Vocal Group of the Year. Their trophies also include the 1985 Single of the Year “Why Not Me,” which is also included on The Judds – All Time Greatest Hits. They also won seven straight trophies from the Academy of Country Music – and the 2013 Cliffie Stone Pioneer Award. Their award collection also includes five Grammy awards. The Judds were the subject of a 1988 CBS TV-Special called Across The Heartland, a 1995 NBC mini-series based on Love Can Build A Bridge, the best-selling novel written by Naomi, and a 2011 reality series, The Judds, on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

Stop Bullying! Morgan Frazier

Morgan Frazier and Stand for the Silent

Team Up For Anti-Bullying Tour

Stops Planned for Schools Across the Country Beginning in October

Does anyone really know who Morgan Frazier is? Well neither did I until recently. Anyone who stands up against bullying gets my vote as one cool person. I found out about the awesome Morgan via a press release regarding her Anti-Bullying Tour - her parents pulled her out of school e
ntirely because of her own bullying experience. Support this talented and amazing young woman...carry on and read on!

Country recording artist Morgan Frazier and anti-bullying organization Stand for the Silent are taking their message on the road with a tour that will begin at schools in Knoxville, Tenn., New Bern, N.C., Charleston, S.C. and Charlotte, N.C., with more stops to be added. Their mission is to change kids’ lives and bring awareness to bullying and the real devastation it causes. Since May 2010, Stand for the Silent has traveled to hundreds of schools and spoken with more than 700,000 kids. Sidewalk/Curb recording artist, Morgan Frazier has joined the cause and partnered with the organization to help bring global awareness to the issue. Morgan will join them at select school tour dates, where she will perform her new single, “Hey Bully,” a song inspired by Frazier’s personal experiences.

“I am so honored to be working with Kirk and Laura Smalley and Stand For The Silent to tackle this issue.  I have witnessed first-hand the power of their presentation through feedback from students in every city they reach.  We must all play a part in educating people of all ages about the devastating effects of bullying”.

At the beginning of each Stand for the Silent school presentation, student leaders read the biographies of bullying victims that have lost their lives to suicide as submitted by their families. According to the organization, every seven seconds a child is bullied in this world, 160,000 kids stay home from school every day due to fear of bullying and 25% of high school students in America will actually have a plan to take their own life before they graduate. “Hey Bully” was inspired by Morgan’s own experience with bullying, which eventually led her parents to remove her from school entirely.

Stand for the Silent exists as a platform to allow Kirk and Laura Smalley to share their story and offer education and tools that will prevent their tragedy from happening to another child and family. Kirk and Laura’s mission is to continue to change kids’ lives and bring awareness to bullying and the real devastation it causes. Since May 2010, Kirk and Laura Smalley have traveled to hundreds of schools and spoken with more than 700,000 kids.  In March 2011, Kirk and Laura met privately with President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in The White House prior to attending the first ever White House conference on bullying. Their story is featured in Director Lee Hirsch's feature film, Bully. Kirk and Laura have been invited to a number of conferences on bullying and met with Lady Gaga this spring at the launch of the Born This Way Foundation.

About Morgan Frazier:
Recognized in Country Weekly’s “Ones To Watch in 2013,” Morgan Frazier’s remarkable journey began in a small Texas town where she made her way to Nashville by literally going door-to-door.  At just nine years old, Morgan recorded her first CD in her hometown of Breckenridge, Texas.   Although they had no formal plans to market or sell the CD's, Morgan's family believed in their little girl's talent and ordered one thousand copies. For the next two years, Morgan and her family traveled all over the South and Southwest selling over thirty thousand copies of her album. At the age of sixteen, Morgan followed her dream to Nashville where she perfected her songwriting craft and honed her chops at the legendary Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. Not long after, she signed a publishing and recording contract with Curb Records’ imprint Sidewalk Records. Having experienced bullying first hand, Morgan co-wrote her latest single, “Hey Bully” to bring awareness to the growing epidemic.

What?! LeAnn Rimes Still Sings?!

Who knew Ms. Rimes was still a singer? All most of us have known her for the past few years was the Bitch who took Eddie Cibrian from Brandi Glanville...not my words, Brandi's, paraphrasing and artistic license apply.

And boy did Brandi never let us forget it, it was her claim to fame and made her one of the "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills".

Rimes other claim to fame of late has been about her weight. "Is She or Isn't She Anorectic" - when she is seen out in her bikini.

OK, well LeAnn it's time you reminded peeps why you are famous in the first place, you are a gifted singer and songwriter, looking forward to "Spitfire" putting you in the press for something other than malicious gossip!

LeAnn Rimes announces release of new album SPITFIRE

Physical CD Available Only at Walmart

14 song collection available June 4th, 2013 featuring Special Appearances
by Alison Krauss, Dan Tyminski, Rob Thomas and Jeff Beck

Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter LeAnn Rimes is releasing her new album, SPITFIRE, on June 4, 2013. Rimes, who co-wrote nine of the songs on her newest offering, says “This album is a peek into my world; who I am, what I’ve gone through, what my emotions are.  It’s an intimate conversation between me and whoever’s listening.  I hope I’m saying things that are hard for others to express.  It certainly took me a lot of work to get to this point. And it’s still easier to sing these thoughts than it is to say them out loud.  The intimacy in my music is just beginning.”

“Curb Records is receiving global reviews for LeAnn’s brilliant album, Spitfire.  Her performances with Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20), Jeff Beck, Alison Krauss and Dan Tyminski are amazing and a great representation of LeAnn’s ability as an artist and songwriter, says Curb Records Chairman, Mike Curb.  “LeAnn and producer Darrell Brown have created a very special musical adventure that is delivered straight from LeAnn’s heart.  We’ve always known she is a great singer.  This album simply proves outright that LeAnn is a great, multi-faceted artist.”

SPITFIRE is co-produced by Darrell Brown, LeAnn’s longtime friend, whom she calls her “writing soul mate”. Rimes speaks of this album as a “journey” and says there were several memorable moments along the way from having multi-Grammy award-winning engineer, Al Schmitt (Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, Norah Jones) mix several songs to having Alison Krauss and Dan Tyminsky sing background vocals on “What Have I Done?”.  After ten years of trying to write or record with Rob Thomas, the planets aligned as Rob added an undeniable groove to “Gasoline and Matches”, which also features the legendary signature guitar styling's of Jeff Beck, whom LeAnn previously worked with on a Barbra Streisand tribute at the Grammys to benefit MusiCares.

“SPITFIRE covers a range of emotions that I’ve experienced in my lifetime, from anger to love, from frustrations to letting go”, says Rimes.  “Darrell and I talked about telling that story in chronological order, but that didn’t work sonically, so he said, ‘It’s the truth…in no particular order.’ And isn’t that what life is about?”

The physical CD will launch exclusively at Walmart and is currently available for pre-order at:  http://bit.ly/Spitfire1
