Standing Tall Margot Robbie as Barbie!!! |
OK, I admit the ONLY reason the Barbie movie was on my radar remotely was the talent involved. "Yes" I tend to pay attention when Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Greta Gerwig & Noah Baumbach decide to combine forces.
Yet, I was still skeptical, I mean honestly what can you really do with the premise that wouldn't be ridiculous?!
Well even though I'm still not sure what they are doing with the actual film in terms of premise, after seeing the teaser trailer that dropped yesterday...sing me up, I'm there!!!
C'mon Barbie Let's Go Party...Hit the teaser below...

Remember Mike Clifford? He was a Teen Idol in the 60's best known for his signature song Close To Cathy.
Did you know he is still making music? Well he is, he has a wonderful rendition of the Christmas staple Ave Maria as a gift to all of his fans and music lovers.
At this point I am betting you are wanting to hear it, well get it after the jump!
Ho, ho, ho and all that jazz...

Santa Baby Santa Claus & Marilyn Monroe |
All of you know by now that I am a huge Marilyn Monroe fan! Also I am aware that perhaps I need to put in more effort on the "Christmas Spirit" thing.
Thus we are going to Hump Day & Chill with this whimsical piece of art featuring who else?! Marilyn Monroe & Santa Claus.
An image too cool for yule.

Tis the season for classic cinema (say "classic cinema" three times fast, I dare ya) - Thus I bequeath to you, straight outta Jay's Classic Movie Blog: Bonnie and Clyde.
Hey, it was 1967 when this groundbreaking film came out and I need to revisit it as I watched it when I was too young for it to really land in my underdeveloped mind. I believe it is currently on Netflix, unless it isn't any longer...
Also the two leads, Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway are terrific eye candy.

Jennifer Coolidge as Tanya McQuoid |
"Yes" Minions I called it (as did many others) - Tanya McQuoid said "Hello" to the other side on the season 2 finale of The White Lotus.
Hey let's face reality the character has run it's course over the past two seasons and really had no where to go in the just announced season 3.
Now for my truth. While many of you out there felt sorry for Tanya, I never have. She is her own worst enemy and "Yes" she isn't too bright. But for me at least she is a victim of her own narcissistic neediness. I mean seriously who blows off seeing a photo of their current husband with the gay host of the place they are staying because he distracts her with sex and a party in her honor?!
Sure Jan...NOT! Red Flag party of one!!! She's a grown ass woman and knows better, but does it anyway.
This being stated she did make for good viewing, while she lasted, and Jennifer Coolidge was brilliant in the role.
While I am not sure where people like Tanya end up in the afterlife, I hope it's somewhere people are giving to the needy.
Mic Drop!
