The Stage Pre-Show

The opportunity presented itself last night for me to attend a live, intimate performance by Duran Duran on Jimmy Kimmel Live in Hollywood (Thanks James Rieker) so of course I jumped on it!

It was fun to take a trip down nostalgia lane, hey all of their female groupies (and male ones) are now in their forties. Anyway the guys put on a great show and they all must have a portrait in the attic as they looked amazing!

They also performed two of their biggest hits: Hungry Like The Wolf and my personal favorite DD song Save A Prayer.

So no more prattling feast your eyes on photos I shot from the evening.

OK, first off excuse me, I can be a tad irreverent, on second thought, yeah, a lot! That being stated no one in the world could have a better friend an ally than Judith Light.

The LGBTQ community is one lucky bitch for having this awesome woman embrace them. 

Now starring on the show Transparent (with my buddy Ian Harvie) Judith had this to say about Danny Pintauro's recent coming out as HIV + : “I am so proud of him,” she lovingly says  “He’s talking about being HIV positive. He is being incredibly proactive. He now has a wonderful husband named Wil. He’s giving a different face to what is still a disease that has not been handled.”

I used to run into Judith every month where I went for a waxing, yeah I used to wax, not anymore, she went there for skin care. She was always so kind and loving, she is freaking awesome!

While I am not in the habit of doing this in general, I feel strangely compelled during another day of over the top heat in Los Angeles to wish George and Amal Clooney a Happy One Year Anniversary !

Yeah, you remember it was the gasp heard round the world when perpetual Hollywood bachelor, George Clooney married the then Amal Alamuddin. Not only is she beautiful she is also a very accomplished Human Rights Lawyer.

So go figure when Barbara Walters interviewed Mrs. Clooney as her most intriguing person of the year all she could babble on about was how she nabbed her husband. Barbara really, retire completely not just from The View, please.

Not only are these two a media outlets wet dream of a couple, more importantly they seem like the perfect fit and in a year where an exodus of couples splitting has been a weekly occurrence it is nice to see two people who look like they were meant for each other.

One of my favorite sassy broads is Leah Remini. She was, to me the only reason to watch King of Queens, sorry, no not sorry Kevin James.

I have always admired her chutzpah and the fact that she is packing large, larger than most men I know.

Especially when she left the "religion" you dare not speak out of turn about, Scientology in 2013.

Well here she comes with a tell all about her experience with them. Aptly titled: Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology published by Random House.
