Drinking Game Alert

Winning!
The Kardashians
Have you heard? Last nigh Keeping Up With The Kardashians won favorite "Reality Show" at the 45th E! People's Choice Awards. "Yes" the people have spoken and this is what the hive mind voted for.

Don't get all snobby on me now and pretend you have NEVER seen an episode of KUWTK. Even if you are not a regular viewer or fan, everyone has watched at least a few episodes sporadically throughout the years

In fact I watched an episode of it last week, which brings me to today's topic of the timeless Drinking Game. You know where you take a shot every time a certain word is uttered, yeah that one, that's the ticket.

While watching the show it struck me like lightning that Kim, Khloe & Kourtney utter the word "Yeah" a lot, and when I state a lot I mean almost like every sentence. Thus the seed was planted that this would make a most excellent Drinking Game. That's correct minions, every time one of the Kardashian Sisters (or any other person) spouts "Yeah" take a shot. I guarantee you will be black out drunk by the end of the hour.

"Empire" Tie One On With Cookie Tonight!

Cookie Wants Nookie!
OK, I admit while I had heard of the hottest new show to hit the airwaves, Empire, I never tuned in until Courtney Love guest starred on Episode six of the series. I am a big Hole fan (insert joke here.)

Damn it! From that point on I had yet another TV show I was addicted to. So, yes, of course I watched the first five episodes prior ON DEMAND and have watched every episode since.

Cookie Lyon, played by the awesome Taraji P Henson, is my spirit animal...I would not dream of missing tonight's two hour finale!

Empire, Empire, Empire - click your heels together three times and tie one on this Hump Day during the season one send off.

I came across the rules for a clever drinking game any Empire fan will L-O-V-E, thanks US Weekly for this you guys are da bomb!

You should take a drink…

1. Whenever Cookie offers up her nookie.
2. Whenever there’s a famous guest star.
3. Whenever Hakeem throws a bitch fit.
4. Whenever Cookie looks fierce in fur.
5. Whenever an artist threatens to leave Lucious for Beretti.
6. Whenever someone mentions the name “Bunkie,” because it is a phenomenal name.
7. Whenever someone references “being a Lyon.”
8. Whenever Jamal wears a ridiculous scarf.
9. Whenever you find yourself secretly crushing on Jamal despite his ridiculous scarf.
10. Whenever Porsha is the perfect sidekick.

"Scandal" The Covering Of Kerry Washington's Baby Bump

Is that your knee Mr. President? Or are you just happy to see me?
Tonight as all of us Gladiator's know is the season finale of one of the best shows on TV "Scandal."

I've really got to hand it to the whole creative team that works on this, a show with story lines that escalate usually falters mighty, but "Scandal" like the Energizer Bunny just keeps going and going...and getting better.

"Scandal" is like riding the fiercest roller coaster at Magic Mountain! I can't wait to see what happens in tonight's wrap of the current season.

Now that I have clarified that I am a true fan of the show and it's awesome ability to entertain, let me say one of the more entertaining aspects of this season for us Gladiators was seeing all of the creative ways they covered series star Kerry Washington's baby bump.

C'mon you know you were amused by it as much as I was. Some of them were typical, while others were downright genius!

My personal favorite President Grant's (Tony Goldwyn) knee obscuring Olivia Pope's bump so the prying camera could not film it. Totally awesome and amusing at the same time.

Confess did anyone out there have a drinking game based around this? I bet some of you Gladiators did...!

The best thing though is the brilliant team behind "Scandal" did manage to keep their female lead and show anchor front and center where she belongs. That is the one mistake most shows with a female lead make, when their leading lady gets pregnant - they move her out of the center of the action and whip up other story lines for the supporting characters and they lose the shows focus and it goes downhill from there.

Excited to see how they end the season tonight and "yes" I will be checking out Operation Camouflage Kerry's Baby Bump as well.

Happy viewing Gladiators!

It's always scandalous on your TV! http://abc.go.com/shows/scandal

Bring On The Drinking Games! The Golden Globes Sunday January 12th

Cheers!
Last year I missed the Golden Globes due to technical difficulties and when I heard about them via various posts on my Facebook home page, boy was I riding on a bummer, and not for the reasons you might think.

Do I care who wins? Hell to the no! Do I like to see glamour? Well of course don't we all? But what truly saddened me was I missed Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's co-hosting antics, not to mention their sure fire way to get you wasted while watching drinking game.

Well this year I will not be denied! I will be watching this magic duo grab my funny bone out of my body, chew it up and spit it out, and drink along with their diabolical plan to get the celebs in attendance and the audience at home D-R-U-N-K, thanks ladies!

FYI, just my L-U-C-K they have upped the ante, Lord I am going to be a goner this year!

Fey states: "Any time you see a gown with sleeves, you're going to drink. Any time they cut to Tom Hanks for a reaction shot, do five push-ups and you will be ripped by the end of the ceremony."
Poehler's went further: "How about this for a drinking game? Every time I drink, everybody at home should drink. And if Bryan Cranston speaks, everybody has to do a little bit of meth. Just a touch, because that's all you need, just a touch."

Alright you two it's on!

Reel Life: It's The "Super Cyclone"

Ming Na & Nick Turturro in "Super Cyclone"

"When a SUPER CYCLONE threatens the entire west coast, a brilliant meteorologist (MING NA) and a brave petroleum engineer (NICK TURTURRO) join forces to battle the elements"...

That is the synopsis for Writer/Director Liz Adams latest disaster opus from the hottest independent company around: The Asylum.

Liz Adams last disaster flick for them was the well received "Air Collision" with Jordan Ladd.

Much like "AC", "SC" is a fun B-movie ride because of it's savvy writer/director and the game actors.

"Super Cyclone was so much fun to make – Ming Na and Nick were really game to do anything we asked of them – running from flaming hail – floating in a fridge – you name it". - Liz Adams

I love this type of thing, from the stock footage of horrible weather, to the nudge and wink special effects.

"The entire shoot was done in 18 days – it was really fast work for such a effects movie". - Liz Adams

Wow! That is quick! Congrats to Ms. Adams who is an award winning director for the short film "Side Effect" and is now making her mark as an astute low budget movie director.

Note to The Asylum: You should actually market this movie as a combo fun B Movie thrill ride and a drinking game. If I had a shot, a beer...whatever for every time a character in the movie said: "It's the super cyclone" - I would be either laughing myself silly or passed out by the end of the film.

P.S. I was not drinking and I DID laugh every time someone said: "It's the super cyclone" the degree of laughter varied, it was dependent on which actor was delivering it...I had a ton of fun watching this!
