You're A Shining Star

Smile Everyone, Smiles
Anne Hathaway
With her latest movie The Hustle co-starring Rebel Wilson opening today, Anne Hathaway received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday, naturally.

The Oscar Winning actress for Les Miserables, certainly has a great body of work that has earned her the honor.

But in all honesty what compelled me to do a post on this today was the infectious smile she had while being immortalized on Hollywood Blvd

"Yes" her smile is what's making me happy this morning, Friday May 10th 2019. It's the most sincere thing I have seen all week.

Thanks Anne for a lovely kick off to the day ahead, your mega watt smile is one of the many reasons you're a shining star. So bend it like Anne today minions, like I know you can.

Go get em'!!!

"The Hardcore show for DEVO was like relocating a tail you misplaced a lifetime ago."
Mark Mothersbaugh

Are they not men? Nope, I guess they're Devo! You get one guess as to where I will be January 17th 2015...

LA screening event with Mark Mothersbaugh, Gerald V. Casale & Bob Mothersbaugh, Director Keirda Bahruth and Producer Rick Ballard

Saturday, January 17 - 7:30 PM
6712 Hollywood Boulevard
Hollywood, CA 90028 Map

DEVO was among the most thought-provoking bands to emerge in the aftermath of punk, but before hits like "Whip It," they worked in the basements and garages of Akron, Ohio to make raw, unfiltered music that the group called "Hardcore DEVO."

In the summer of 2014, DEVO did ten shows performing these seminal pre-fame songs, created between 1974 and 1977 and rarely played since then. Shot at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California, this exciting concert film captures these groundbreaking artists performing the songs that started it all, interwoven with interviews revealing the history of the band. In total, these 21 oddities serve as a tribute to departed, original DEVO bandmate, Robert "Bob 2" Casale.

A special screening event will be held on Saturday, January 17th at 7:30 PM at the Egyptian Theatre (6712 Hollywood Boulevard - Hollywood, CA 90028). A discussion with director Keirda Bahruth, coproducer Rick Ballard, and DEVO members Mark Mothersbaugh, Gerald V. Casale, and Bob Mothersbaugh will follow.

Having a hit musical can cause scheduling conflicts, especially when it's extended! My congrats go out to Stuart Gordon and his stage version of the hit cult film, Re-Animator!

Yes, the ubiquitous Mr. Gordon was supposed to give a full length interview to Entertain Me, but due to both of our conflicting schedules it was unable to be made into a reality. That being said Stuart will appear in my special Halloween piece, and trust me you will not want to miss the devilish comment he gave for All Hallows Eve.
