Michael's Musings

"Will You Walk Into My Parlour?"
Michael Shinafelt

"Will you walk into my parlour?" said a spider to a fly;

" 'Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy.

The way into my parlour is up a winding stair,

And I have many pretty things to shew when you are there." The Spider and the Fly, Mary Howitt

This great poem has rented space in my head of late, partly because tis the Season of the Witch and partly because it's a dead on metaphor for what's happen in the world today. I highly suggest you Google it and read it, in the meantime welcome to my parlour...

While the RHOBH season finale was tidy and meh, have you seen the preview for the reunion special? Holy F#ck!!!

Did any of you take the opportunity to reacquaint yourselves with your soul during the Facebook/Instagram blackout???

Mikey and Bubbles are gorilla songwriters, you read that correctly and literally

Didn't catch AHS: Death Valley last night, will watch today. Anyone birth any aliens?!

I love lemon water...the more you know

According to Page Six Meghan Trainor and husband Daryl Sabara have toilets next to each other. A couple who obviously gives two sh!ts about each other

FYI I don't block haters, it would deprive you of seeing me win

Pardon me while I engage in my Illuminati ritual

Woman Crush of the Week - it isn't Halloween without Elvira who has a new book Yours Cruelly and recently came out, you go ghoul!

Does mayo belong on a burger? "Yes" 100% "Yes!"

Hope, Friends & Vodka - what more does one need???

Just when you thought it was safe to reconnect with humanity...

For some reason Black Celebration by Depeche Mode is on a loop in my head this morning

On Thursday's I wear black, that could be why (RE: Black Celebration)

Hump Day & Chill

Killer Looks
Patrick Bateman

Tis the season to get scary, thus I thought we should Hump Day & Chill to a hunk of a certain genre. That's correct Minions we are going all out horror this week with Patrick Bateman straight outta American Psycho.

Seriously though, you could see why Patrick's dirty deeds could go undetected. With his charm, good looks and charisma to burn all you really want to do is ______ well, you know what to fill that blank in with I'm sure!

Patrick wields an axe with the ease of a pro baseball player batting at the home plate (as seen above.) Then gets home and strips down to nothing but his tighty whities (as seen below) for an intense work out to chill...killer! (literally)

Killer Body
Patrick Bateman

All this and more make Patrick Bateman the psycho of your dreams, but the real question is: can he cook?

Hump Day & Chill at the link below and find out for your bad self...

10 More Days Till Halloween...

10 more days till Halloween, Silver Shamrock! What's that? You're telling me there are actually 26 more days until Halloween? Perhaps, but there are only 10 more days until Halloween Kills hits the big screen and I can't wait!!!

"Yes" I know the reviews are mixed, but honestly does it really matter what critics say about the second act of the current trilogy? (concluding next year with Halloween Ends)

That's correct Minions I thought NOT!

Despite the less than stellar advance reviews, there seems to be a common thread that those scribes can agree on, this installment delivers what it is supposed to: Thrills, Chills & Kills...💀

Michael Myers forever!!!

Eaten Alive

 Nashville Pussy - Eaten Alive

A ferocious hellride of a live double record that is proof positive that the band
is one of the best live acts ever

Coming to CD and Digital Formats on November 5th (Ruyter Suys’ birthday) and Vinyl January 14th from Slinging Pig Records, the band's record label

The first single Wrong Side of A Gun coming October 8th

"One of the most satisfying rock experiences ever recorded."
Brave Words

Coming hot off of their critically acclaimed 7th studio album, “Pleased To Eat You”, Nashville Pussy returns with “Eaten Alive”, a ferocious hellride of a live double LP that is proof positive that the band is one of the best live acts ever. Recorded in the UK, this is Nashville Pussy’s “Live at Leeds” and one of most unrelenting concert albums since Motorhead’s “No Sleep Til Hammersmith”.

Being slated for released to coincide with their October/November tour with The Toadies and Reverend Horton Heat, “Eaten Alive” will be unleashed to the world on Slinging Pig Records, the band’s very own record label.

“This is the album that our fans have drunkenly demanded for years”, says singer Blaine Cartwright.
“‘Make an album that sounds like you guys do live!’, I’ve heard that phrase slurred in my face in accents from all over the world” jokes Blaine.

“So here it is you drunken bastards!”

The mesmerizing leads of legendary guitarist Ruyter Suys leap off the grooves and grab the listener by the throat. Ruyter has been hailed with accolades since the bands inception including being named “one of the top female performers of all time” by That Metal Show. And that’s just one example.

Combine that with the irresistible thunderous rhythm section of bassist Bonnie Buitrago and hard hitting drummer Ben Thomas, and it makes for one of the most satisfying rock experiences ever recorded.

“Eaten Alive” not only serves as a perfect souvenir for hundreds of thousands of lucky rock n’ rollers that have seen Nashville Pussy in the 40 plus countries over past 25 years, it’s also an excellent starting point for all those unfortunately yet to have been exposed to the fiery baptism of hard rock that the band delivers on a nightly basis.

Nashville Pussy is ravenously looking forward to their upcoming (twice postponed) tour of Europe. It all starts with Sweden Rock with Blue Oyster Cult, and ends at Barcelona Rocks with Judas Priest two months later. In between, the band will be eating fans alive all across Europe.

The band is unstoppable... This album is proof.

Mean Girls Day

Iconic
Lindsay Lohan & Jonathan Bennett

It's October 3rd - Happy Mean Girls Day! For those of you who may not know why Mean Girls Day is today, look no further than the meme I posted above, it's self explanatory.

Who knew when Mean Girls came out that it would become such an iconic film and cement Lindsay Lohan as a 100% bona fide star? Raise your hand if you did, mine is raised FYI.

Seriously who couldn't love this movie, with it's wit, insight and being of the moment Mean Girls was, and still is "So Fetch!"

Mainly due to star Tine Fey's spot on script and Mark Waters direction. "Yes" Mean Girls is a film that has endured for over a decade and boasts a great cast that brought it with memorable performances.

So join me won't you in celebrating all that is mean.

PS Never forget "On Wednesdays we wear pink..."
