Centaur Motorcycle Club’s Mid-Atlantic Leather Weekend is an annual festival weekend that attracts thousands of leather men, kinksters, fetish-lovers and curious spectators from all over the world to Washington, D.C. over MLK weekend. The event is an opportunity for the leather and fetish communities to showcase their craft in a safe environment designed to provide an immersive experience. It also provides critical support to the LGBTQIA+ community, raising over $150,000 this past year for local non-profit organizations.
This year’s festivities begin Thursday, January 11th and run through Monday, January 15th. Once again, the KINETIC Presents team of local DC party producers - Zach Renovátes, Dougie Meyer, and Jesus Quispe (Q) - have partnered with Centaur M.C. to produce KINETIC: KINK, four official events headlined by seven of the world’s leading festival DJs. Bootcamp, UNCUT XL, discoVERS XL and the weekend’s main event, KINETIC: KINK, will take place at various venues throughout Washington, D.C. “This year’s KINETIC: KINK will be the largest main event in MAL history,” Zach Renovátes says. “Thousands of men from around the globe will be descending into the nation’s capital this MLK weekend, experiencing an all-new state-of-the-art production and headline performance by the incomparable drag artist, Katya.”
On Thursday January 11th, VIP pass-holders are invited to report for basic training at BOOTCAMP, the weekend’s opening party taking place at BUNKER (2001 14th St NW). Partygoers are encouraged to arrive in military gear. DJ Joshua Ruiz will man the decks from 10pm to 3am, whipping the recruits into shape.
The weekend’s debauchery continues on Friday with men cruising the labyrinth of extended play zones at UNCUT XL. DJs Onyx and GSP will commandeer all three massive rooms at REPUBLIQ Nightclub (2122 24th Pl NE), providing pulsating beats from 10pm until 4am.
It all leads to the monumental main event, KINETIC: KINK, taking place Saturday, January 13th from 10pm to 4am at the multilevel mega-club, Echostage (2135 Queens Chapel Rd NE). Superstar DJ’s Abel and Alex Acosta will headline, and the event features a special performance by RuPaul’s Drag Race Superstar, Katya. Revelers are encouraged to show off their best fetish gear for the main event which features live kink acts and unrestrained performances designed to force partygoers into submission.
The weekend’s grand finale takes place Sunday night, at discoVERS XL. KINETIC Presents is proud to partner with Centaur M.C. Mid-Atlantic Leather to once again produce the epic weekend’s official closing party. DJs Dan Slater and Alexis Tucci will spin jubilant disco and house music from 10pm to 4am at Zebbie’s Garden (1223 Connecticut Ave NW). A special performance by Boomer Banks and other surprise acts will be seamlessly integrated into the high-energy sounds throughout the night.
The KINETIC: KINK main event is 18+, and all other events are 21+. KINETIC: KINK VIP Weekend Passes include express entry into all four KINETIC: KINK events, as well as dedicated VIP area access and VIP-designated bars and bathrooms at select venues.
