Current Mood

Pamela Anderson & Her Gnome

This photo that I spotted on Pamela Anderson's Instagram spoke to me immediately, not sure exactly why, yet it did.

Something about Pam and a gnome in the woods captured my Current Mood which at present is whimsical.

I've been feeling the world of possibilites has opened up of late. There's a freshness in the energy that surrounds things that make them seem new again. When you see things through a different lens it's truly amazing how much more depth of perspective you have on it.

Thus Ms. Anderson and her magical gnome really struck where I am right here, right now.

Embrace change, it's what's life is about!

Michael's Musings

Justify This!
Michael Shinafelt

I don't know about you but I'm feeling yummy today. I just returned from some much needed R&R and closure, and as they say my batteries have been recharged. I am now officially ready to forge a new path for myself.

This also means that I have a new motto, the bottom line as it were. Like it states above "Justify This!" What's the motto? F#ck around and find out...that's all. Time to justify some more random things...

It's like she's in this giant condom, discuss...

One thing I am for sure doing in 2024 is letting go of my old grudges in order to make room for newer, stronger grudges

Small circle, Private life, Peaceful mind

FYI Even cowgirls have unmanageable diarrhea

Always remember Minions you are too fabulous to fit in!

So the actor playing Ken in Barbie gets an Oscar nomination and the actress who plays the title character does not. Make it make sense, oh wait it does...Misogyny is still alive and well

Finally got around to seeing Cocaine Bear - it blew, literally and figuratively

In other news Horton Hires A Whore, the more you know...

Woman Crush of the Week - congratulations to Annette Benning on her much deserved 5th Oscar nomination for Nyad. Perhaps the 5th time will be the charm???

I won't let you leave until you've tried my tart

Clubs are extremely overrated. I'd rather be at home baking cookies and sucking d!ck!!!

Loving Crystal 2.0 on RHOBH, I suspect this has always been who she is, she's simply kept it hidden until now

Went putt putt golfing for the first time in forever this past week. I sunk the ball in 2 strokes on most of the greens, and the couple of other greens that were left 3 strokes, I'm King of the World!

Creating magic this week, oh yes I am

Hump Day & Chill

Let's Hump Day & Chill for the amazing Oscar Nominee who stars in Poor Things Ms. Emma Stone!

Have you seen Poor Things? It's totally different head that's for sure, that being stated Emma Stone is truly amazing in it. She goes to a whole new level of creativity with her role of Bella Baxter.

OK, enough of the hyperbole what I really want to know is WTF does the condom quote mean? It's clearly taken out of context yet there was no explanation as to what the actual reference is.

Perplexing indeed!

So let's be thankful for what we have and that's Emma, who is a gift to the world, nobody does it quite like her. Yep, she's one of a kind.

Now run along and Hump Day & Chill

"an intelligent, disturbing true crime chiller"

     —James Whittinton, NYX TV

A true-crime thriller inspired by real events, The Black Mass is set over a 24-hour period in Florida during the winter of 1978. The film follows a serial killer in the days leading up to his final, unhinged rampage, providing a disturbing and terrifying look into the warped psyche of a notorious murderer, as well as the ramifications of his violence for those who fell victim to it, and for those who survived.

Monday Motivation

Tippi Hedren

"Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live." - Jim Rohn

No truer words were spoken and that my Minions is our collective Monday Motivation. I'm also going to give you an example of it with our poster girl animal activist and actress Tippi Hedren.

On January 19th 2024 our Ms Hedren turned 94 years young. "Yes" this is a photo of her at said Birthday Party.

Tippi is a Hollywood Legend having appeared in two Alfred Hitchcock films The Birds and Marnie respectively.

She is also the founder of Shambala Preserve, a wild animal sanctuary in Acton, CA.

"Yes" indeed Tippi Hedren has lead an incredible long life and looks beautiful at 94. I'm guessing she takes care of her personal sanctuary, her body.

Bend it like Tippi and take care of yours! Monday Motivation indeed...

Inland Empire

Yesterday was Filmakker David Lynch's Birthday. With all the Social Media posts that naturally happened this post about Inland Empire caught my wandering eye. It stopped and made me reminisce about this piece of darkness and how much it really did get under my skin.

Whilst like most individuals Mullholland Drive is my favorite Lynch film, Inland Empire is a close second and the one that truly made my skin crawl (sorry Blue Velvet &Eraserhead)

There's a hoplessness within it, and a heartlessness that just, well, I don't know is hard to explain to anyone who hasn't seen it and even those who have can't quite put it into words. It does stick with you and frankly hasn't left since I saw the film when it first came out in 2006.

Laura Dern gives a virtuoso performance at the center of it all. I remember when David Lynch himself sat outside of Tower Records on the Sunset Strip with a banner and a cow (yes, a cow) touting Dern for a Best Actress Oscar Nomination.

So happy belated Birthday to Mr. David Lynch and in honor of it I'm going to rewatch Inland Empire again, it's time...
