| Cher, Robert Altman, Sandy Dennis & Karen Black |
Feeling nostalgic? Well after seeing this photo I am remembering the 80's and how it was a more simple time and definitely more fun than the current state of the world (not to mention how good the music was.)
Here we have Cher, Sandy Dennis, Karen Black and Director Robert Altman on the set of the movie Come Back To The 5 & Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean.
It was a filmed version of the stage play they all three appeared together in under Altman's direction on Broadway.
There was a certain magic about this time period in cinema and this was a true example of independent filmmaking.
I remember liking it immensely, this being stated It's time for me to revisit it as it I haven't seen it since 1982 when it came out.
And aren't you happy?!
TGIF!

"There's something about you, baby
It happens all the timeKesha is having a great run presently with her hit album Period and a sold out tour, it's the comeback story everyone loves.
Today however we are going to Hump Day & Chill to her being an out spoken individual with a wicked sense of humor.
Seems like the Cretins in the White House decided to use her song Blow for a video of bombings. Yep, pretty repellent.
Thus she Tweeted this gem to them:
"Stop using my music, perverts"
Ha ha ha ha ha! Think about it, but not too much...

I took this photo of a random rose laying at the side of a pond one day before yoga at The Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
What's really great about this is the many thoughts, feelings and stories it evokes.
For me it brings to mind the famous image of Ophelia from Shakespeare's Hamlet floating down the river in the painting by John Everett Millais.
That work of art always brings me a feeling of peace and tranquility.
Heading into the day like...

Here is a face only a mother could love...It's Colonel Steven J. Lockjaw from Paul Thomas Anderson's One Battle After Another.
Lockjaw is played in the film by Sean Penn who recently won a BAFTA (British Academy Of Film And Television Arts) Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal.
So I thought a Hump Day & Chill celebration should be the order of the day.
Pick your poison and your reason, his performance was terrific as was the film!

"I brought you to a Remington party and what's my thanks? It's on a hallway carpet. I got paid in puke." - Heather Chandler, Heathers
While surfing the WWW I came across this fun find, a polaroid image BHS from one of my favorite movies: Heathers
I saw it in Los Angeles when it hit theaters in 1988. So I was ahead of the curve of the masses that would come to love and appreciate it over time.
Thus I gave it a watch again recently and it still holds up. The satire and dark humor are as razor sharp now as they were then.
Not to mention the terrific cast lead by Winona Ryder.
If you have yet to see it, get it!

Pssst! Did you know it's National Margarita Day?! Well now you do!!!
Thus to commemorate and celebrate this hallowed concoction here I am with, "Yes" a margarita.
I have a twice weekly routine where I make my way to HomeState in Hollywood for a breakfast taco and a margarita in the am.
Sitting out on the patio first thing in the morning with those two things is a great start to any day. It's really chill and quiet, thus setting the tone for the rest of it: Good Vibes Only.
Join me in celebrating won't you? I know you want to, everyone is doing it, all the cool kids are...

Orlando’s premier soul-rocking nonet The Sh-Booms return on February 18th with “This Is a Test,” their first new recorded music since 2019 and the title track from their forthcoming EP This Is a Test. The EP will be released digitally and as a limited-run 12” vinyl, available at the band’s upcoming Florida release shows this March and everywhere else on March 10.
“This Is a Test,” says bandleader and bassist Alfred Ruiz, “is a sci-fi vision of two astronauts on a collision course in the cosmic ocean. As they delve into the great unknown they enter euphoric intergalactic love — but a treacherous mission may lay waste to the path forward. This is a test… now hold your breath.”
Clocking in at over six and a half minutes, the title track signals a bold creative shift. Blending New Wave textures, post-punk lock-grooves, funk-driven vocoder passages, and widescreen space-rock builds, the song captures the emotional push and pull of new love with cinematic scale and dancefloor urgency. Produced by Grammy-nominated engineer Alan Armitage (Boyz II Men) at his Orlando studio The Snake Arcade, and mastered by Grammy Award-winner Emily Lazar (Beck, Vampire Weekend, Minus the Bear) at The Lodge Mastering in New York, the single marks a major sonic expansion for the band.
